I came here a couple times when I was pregnant and got great mocktails, too. My husband got the smoked old-fashioned and really enjoyed it. Obviously in between the lunch and supper crowd. The interior gave a the impression the evening might be a place when young people over indulge a bit. A little rough, even tho it appeared to be tidy and clean. We ordered the 5 oz steak, rare. It was tender, seasoned, and grilled perfectly. The taste was 5-star excellent! We were happy to let the chef know it was perfect. I had a house salad, which had had been prepared yesterday! The blue cheese dressing was delicious and served on the side. Soft dinner rolls came with the dinner. No butter was served with the roll. My companion's side of choice was mashed red skin potatoes with gravy. They were lumpy, delicious and hot. We had coconut pie after our meal. It was served in a plastic carry out container. One bite was enough! It had the flavor of plastic. Apparently, it had been in that container too long. This meal for two was $45.00 which may be a bit pricey since each plate contained 5oz Steak, one side, and a dinner rolls. The staff was friendly, efficient, and pleasant. The service was productive, helpful, and made us feel comfortable. I will go back

It's popular. It's got history & tradition…read more It's loud on loud. And it's fun! You mention Stillwater and most anyone knows the Eskimo Joe's brand. This place is as Okie State as anywhere in town, with multiple levels and people EVERYWHERE. Want to visit on a fall Saturday game day? Yeah, so does everyone else. But Eskimo Joe's is big enough to handle a LOT of people, what with multi-tiers and decks to accommodate those crowds. I can't imagine what the fire marshal has to go through when assessing the place, but hey, they serve good bar & grille food and plenty of drinks, so those are wins, right? Find a seat - often 'open' seating during those busy-busy times - and you'll have a screen sightline in any direction. Sportsball is everywhere, and with numerous bars in different areas, you don't have to go far to get a drink. The menu has some, uh, college-friendly eats, like Frito-pies & smothered fries, big burgs, & more, like the Messy Pig, a delicious disaster of a pulled pork sandwich. It's not exactly that heart-smart variety, but YOLO, and they do have plenty of light fare. Grab a beer in their recognizable plastic cups and just kick back and enjoy. The food is good, the drink prices are fair, and the atmosphere is more than just Joe College. Service comes at you from all directions but you're free to sidle up and get your drinks wherever you find an open spot. Happy hour runs afternoons Mon-Fri and the service staff will tell you that every day is 'fry day', suggesting fries smothered with goodies. You're likely not parking right in front of EJ's, but that is kind of the mystique. Also, don't miss a run through their branded merch store because the Eskimo Joe's logo is fairly well-represented everywhere. Yes, it's a 'bar' and yes it's loud, but soak up that college-y vibe at one of the premier spots in Stillwater.

Turkey was a tad dry but was otherwise tasty. The VERY BEST was our server! She was a student at the university with a great background working with horses her whole life. Nicest young lady we could have met on this trip. Will definitely be back to Eskimo Joe's next year while in Stillwater.

Located on the SE corner 7th and Main St. in downtown Stillwater, in a nicely remodeled brick building. Inside, the restaurant is smartly decorated in a modern décor mixed with a connection to the past. Between the tee shirts that are for sale, historical pictures and a few artifacts representing rural farm life hang on the walls. In a few areas of the walls, the original brick work is exposed, but masked with a coat of paint. The building's true age shows through the makeup. The chaotic conglomeration of bricks testify that masonry skills and craftsmanship were not required of the builder, when the original structure was erected. Building codes likely not in vogue either. A work of historical beauty. On street parking. And directly behind the restaurant, on the east side, is a parking lot. On a busy weekend parking could be a challenge. Somewhat of a tourist attraction. Souvenirs for the out of towners are prominently on display for purchase. A bar is available to help celebrate yesterday's team victory or numb the pain of defeat. Patio seating is available. Breakfast was perfect. My usual. The picture describes the food.
