We tried so many times to call and ask questions and get ahold of Craig or his office any they dodge every single call, text, voicemail and email. 2. He lost our tax documents. After talking about our places of work and giving him our W4 tax papers he lost these and didn't file them in our 2018 filing. Fast forward a year later the IRS sends a bill for almost $2000 since he lost multiple W4's and failed to file correctly. 3. We filed our business as well with Craig before the tax deadline and he didn't turn it in on time. The IRS sent us a bill for $800+ for late charges. We tried contacting the office and Craig and they would not answer. We had to contact the IRS and after pleading with them we got a one time "get out of jail free card" that they said we would not be issued for 10 years (meaning you only get one of those every 10 years.). We called and left his office a message about what happened and how they didn't file on time and they never got back with us. 4. After looking over his notes from our last years return, we found that our refund was off by $50. We called him a week after we had received our incorrect refund and he wouldn't answer or call back. 5. He took weeks to call back after originally meeting with him to tell us if we owed or were getting a refund. 6. He was super judgey about where we worked and if we made enough money or if we were going to do so the next year. Please, please choose to file somewhere else if you want yours done correctly, professionally, on time and if you want any communication at all. 0 out of 5 star rating for you Craig Curtis.

HOWEVER once you leave that dinky house he calls a business/office you will never hear back from him ever again. We have gotten multiple letters from the IRS that our teaches were filed incorrectly and despite emails, texts and phone calls we can never get a hold of him. When he DOES magically decide to answer he says he'll clear it up only to get MORE letters in the mail from IRS saying that something else is wrong. He has cost us THOUSANDS in faulty payments, late fees and incorrect filings with the IRS. AVOID THIS BUSINESS LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I admit that I should have been on top of this myself, but I was relying on this accountant who claimed to have me taken care of to do his job in a timely manner. Then, I began using his team for bookkeeping. The first bookkeeper was completely incompetent & suggested that I pay my contractors from my personal bank account when I was set up as an S-corp, which was just strange. Obviously, it is best to pay my employees via my business account & I definitely dont have the money to be paying my contractors via personal funds when I have the business funds available. We moved on to a new bookkeeper at that point. When I thought things would look better with someone new, I found myself having to ask for any new monthly books. I was promised monthly statements, but would go months in a row with no updates until I demanded someone send me an update. Then, on top of all of this, there was a tax that was entirely unpaid during my entire time with this team. As a creative, I was relying on Michael and his team to help me with this part of my business, which I made CLEAR to Michael. I knew that I had no clue what I was getting into, and figured outsourcing this was my best bet. I trusted Michael and his team to help me with my finances as a small business, but it was a disaster through and through. If you are an accountant or in finance & already know everything you need, Michael can do the filing. But, if you need someone to guide you or help you as a business owner, I would strongly suggest against it. I am now left with unpaid taxes that I need to recover from, late fees & years of financial stress. I have hired a new accountant who has opened my eyes to just how awful this first accounting partnership was.

I have used Saunders and Nydegger for a few years now, and in the beginning, they were great! This past couple years, things seem to have gotten progressively more sloppy, until this year. I submitted my taxes to him as usual, and waited for them to be completed. I was given back my taxes and told I was done for the year. A while later, I get a notice that my taxes are overdue. I contacted Saunders and Nydegger to resolve this, and found that my taxes had in fact not been done at all in spite of having already paid them for the service. I asked them to fix this, and they said that they would, including the interest incurred as a penalty for late taxes. Fast forward 6 months to a couple weeks ago in August, I received yet another overdue notice from the city, threatening to send the sheriff to collect. At this point, I decided I no longer needed their services, and took care of this myself. A few weeks later, I received another notice, this time from the state. Both notices came with additional fees, and I have no idea what this has done to my credit score. At this point, I contacted Saunders and Nydegger again, fearing I would get another over due notice from the one remaining agency, the federal government. Nydegger responded that he doubts that I will, and that he had done his best to account for any interest incurred by the initial delay. Checking my finances and the original numbers, I can confirm he did not and only submitted the original amount owed, which is what is causing my current problems. I do not know what has changed over the years, but something at Saunders and Nydegger is broken. They massively mishandled my taxes, refused to take any responsibility whatsoever, and did not even offer the remotest apology or even an excuse. The whole experience has been a large stress on me, and was definitely not worth the cost. If you are thinking about Saunders and Nydegger for your taxes in 2023, look elsewhere.

I bought a 17 inch electric Blackstone portable grill from Blackstone Retail Store. I bought it as…read morea gift for someone who camps a lot thinking the solar could power it. It turns out I was wrong and needed to exchange it for the same grill but gas. The box was never opened. Blackstone Retail Store in Logan, Utah refused to exchange my order. They would not even send me a free return slip. The grill was $199. I had to pay $118 to ship it back to them from Charleston, SC. I also have to pay a restocking fee of 10%! Not a way to do business and retain loyal customers! Do not buy from this store and do not buy Blackstone products. I work in a hospital and am a member of several national groups. I am telling everyone that this company sucks and does not deserve our business.

It's an absolute waste of time to even register your product because there is no support in the event that something happens to it. I have been trying to contact somebody for over a month... They have never answered their customer support line and any email response I get back is either automated or from an individual that says they want to help me but as soon as I reply back to that individual they are gone. I have done that via email at least six times and no one is getting to the bottom of my issue. Again I love their products... Recently bought two in the last 30 days but I will never buy another Blackstone product because of the lack of support. I'm sure there are other name brands out there with support that actually exist and people that actually care about their customers.
