I hired Gibb 2017-18 and echo the same comments another reviewer stated that GIBB is:…read more'unresponsive, unmotivated, unaggressive. He has no paralegals or other staff so it's just him'. I go on to add my own experience with Gibb as follows: Gibb was always late for our scheduled meetings as he was never in his office (and drove from home the days he was to meet me). He showed up in flip-flop thongs with no socks, shorts and T-shirts. GIBB was very slow in putting his thoughts together throughout my case, and had trouble constructing and writing letters to other attorneys. He needed from another attorney (of which I didn't agree to pay for that time Gibb spent with him). Gibb kept needing his help and input and Gibb was charging me to consult with that attorney!). I told him I wouldn't agree to pay for that portion but he charges me anyhow. Gibb's office was a huge mess (which concerned me) and the case took a lot longer than it should of and Gibb led me to believe it would an easy case and a lot cheaper to hire him . GIBB overcharged me, admitted to it in a phone call and PROMISED to refund me a very small amount money. This was months ago. Although I believe he owes me more money, I agreed to his offer. Gibb promised to pay .. but never sent me the check. For approx 8 years, there was a gofundme online asking people to donate to help the GIBB BABIES of which I believe was very Tacky, especially to benefit an Attorney's family (his!). Gibb first told me he knew nothing about it, but then back tracked and said his neighbor put it up. The fund raised $1,600.00, I have all the screen shots. Did his donors get a special rate from Gibb to do their legal work? Gibb lectured me how the medical bills for his "babies" were $9,000,000.00 (9 Million Dollars) in an uppity tone (as I had a triple neck fusion, at the same time and never once did he comment on my condition or the financial bind I was in). And, I did NOT have a gofundme account for my situation, but there was one for his! Had I known that at the time, I would of never hired/trusted him! I was wrong to believe in him and should of gone elsewhere. Gibb offered me in a phone call, to refund a very small portion that he overbilled me but he never sent the check. Don't make the same mistake I did.... I should of reported Gibb when I had the chance. If I were you, I'd go elsewhere!

Kimberly mentioned that their firm could assist me in resolving a legal matter and noted that the 2 hour distance was not too great as their attorneys could represent me remotely. Kimberly also mentioned that the hourly rate was $245. I was surprised when I was forced to pay a $500 retainer before even chatting with an attorney but did so in good faith. While chatting with an attorney, they mentioned that they could send a letter on my behalf, send me to small claims court, or have someone else represent me because I was too far away. After a wasted 45 minute phone call we requested a refund only to receive $181.50. I feel like the firm took advantage of me and my situation and billed me more than the agreed upon $245 an hour. I would not recommend Olson & Hoggan.
