Open a new account and have no access to my money while waiting for the new card. To remedy this, I opened an emergency account so I could transfer my money into the emergency account and still have access to it. Well, an opportunity arose this week, my card was hacked. Ok, open a new account and transfer my money into the emergency account. Sweet, except although I don't use the emergency account, it is frozen as well. Money in the bank, I can't touch it, the bank won't help me, doesn't know why the emergency account, which I don't use, was frozen. I have to wait till the new card information arrives. This wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm disabled and can't get around. It seems so bizarre that having money in the bank, I can't touch it, and they won't help me.
