I walked into a space where the dome format gives the building a distinctive character that sets it apart from the standard rectangular arena. For a concert, the circular layout meant sightlines were generally workable from most positions in the building. I saw TWICE here, and the show was the kind of performance that fills a space like this in the right way. The production was large enough to justify the venue size, and the floor area in particular delivered the energy that a show like this builds toward. The acoustics in the dome held up better than the building's age might suggest, and the sound carried clearly enough that the vocal and instrumental mix came through without the muddiness that dome venues can sometimes produce. Getting into the venue moved at a reasonable pace even with a full house. Security was present and effective without being intrusive, and the entry process at a sold out show was more organized than I expected. The concession variety was solid and the food lines, while long during peak windows like opener breaks, moved steadily enough. Seating on the upper levels had a comfort issue for taller people, with the sightline angles and seat spacing working better for average height than for anyone over six feet. The main screen visibility also dropped off depending on my position relative to center, so seats closer to the floor or directly facing the stage tend to offer a more complete visual experience. Transit access is one of the practical strengths of the venue, with bus and light rail connections close enough that driving and parking is optional rather than necessary. For a large arena show in the Pacific Northwest, the Tacoma Dome remains one of the more reliable options in the region.

It kinda felt like I was in a big gym. Our seats weren't that great or expensive but we had a great view of the stage and we did not feel like we were that far away. Seats were fairly comfortable too. The parking situation is a bit of a mess and it's a horrible place to drive to and back. There is no easy way to get there. You will be dealing with horrible traffic and there will be lots of constructions going on in the summer time. If my favorite artists decide to perform here in the future, I would not hesitate to come back but Tacoma dome is definitely not my favorite venue for events.

The seats aren't too uncomfortable, and the stadium is small enough that it doesn't take long to walk around it. We always love shopping for merch and checking out all the food options. What made it especially confusing was seeing two female visitors enter shortly afterward, despite us being told we couldn't. I don't know their circumstances, so I can't say why they were allowed in, but from our perspective, the policy did not appear to be applied consistently. It left us feeling unwelcome and questioning whether we were treated fairly. The outside of the stadium has potential, although the parking lot and surrounding grounds looked like they could use some maintenance. Unfortunately, we never got to see the inside or experience the stadium itself. It would have been nice if I had been able to go inside and see what was there, as that would have allowed me to give a more complete and informed review. I hope management can communicate its visitor policies more clearly and ensure everyone receives the same welcoming and respectful treatment.

Staff and personnel here are very friendly and helpful and you can tell who works here or not, that is important when it comes to sporting events when things arise that you need assistance with. They have a concession stand that stocked pretty well with the basic needs and then some for these events, seeds, gatorade, hot dogs, etc. Bathroom are pretty well maintained as well. Lastly their website is user friendly and you can count on them updating things such as rainouts and rankings pretty efficiently!

I was surprised to see they had value meal deals so I got some of those deals. My favorites were the $12 green fried tomatos & crawfish Mac & cheese, and the $12 pork fried rice, Mac salad & small drink. There are also plenty of fun free activities to do and I liked sene many handwashing stations all throughout the fair. I went to their website and purchased a grand stand premium ticket that came with a brochure recommended pick for the horses and a dedicated grand stand personal stadium seat. Grand stand and General seating has access to almost all levels, cafes and ground access areas with non reserve tables and bleacher seating. I went down to the pit and was able to "pet" a racing horse! Oh, yes, the betting part. So there are lines when you want to place a bet with a person or multiple machines that accepts cash and one can make selections on the screen. First time for me and I ended up placing 6 more bets after that! I think I am hooked!

The field was small and the strawberries were on the smaller side, but that was expected and similar to other farms we've visited before. The reason I'm writing this review is because of an uncomfortable checkout experience. While we were waiting in line to weigh our strawberries, we noticed the staff member at the scale zeroing out the container for the customers ahead of us so they wouldn't be charged for the basket/box itself. She even explained it out loud, which we thought was considerate. However, when it was our turn, she did not zero out the scale. We didn't say anything at the time and assumed maybe it was an honest mistake. What felt disheartening was that immediately after we paid and stepped aside, she zeroed out the scale again for the customer right behind us. My friends, who are of Hispanic ancestry, felt very uncomfortable and singled out by the interaction. I don't want to accuse anyone of racism or say this was intentional, because I don't know that. But I do think it's worth sharing because these kinds of small differences in treatment can really affect how people feel in a space. Our overall experience was okay, but that checkout interaction left a bad impression.

Last weekend in June to experience U-Pick Strawberries at most farms in the PNW. Picha Farms is…read moreabout 15 minutes away from us, so we headed out early Sunday morning to pick some strawberries. It was a bit confusing determining where we needed to go. We used Google Maps and it defaulted us to what appeared to be the prepicked strawberries and berries concession. I had to look back on the Instagram page to figure out where the actual plot of land was designated the U-Pick for the day. That was a bit frustrating because it was a video of a screenshot of where to go. No actual address to plug into the map, not even coordinates. The strawberries are $4.15/lb, which is fairly priced. The strawberries that we were picking in our designated row were very small; some were over ripped as well. We didn't stay too long, maybe 30 minutes or so. Our total was $9.50, so a little over two pounds.
