Excellent quality cleaners! I also appreciate the outstanding customer service! I have to drive a bit, but it is 100% worthwhile!

They always do an amazing job!! Super friendly , my clothes/comforter always come back in tip top shape. 10/10 would highly recommend I use them all the time read more

The management at the front desk was unbelievably rude. Snapped at me when all I was trying to find out was if they can make the repairs or not. Said to me the guy earlier was rude and asked me something and I couldn't fix it, had no idea what he was talking about and I had never met the guy before so... all I wanted was service and I got met with unbelievable rudeness. This is not a good business and does not serve the community well. Do not do business at this establishment. read more

This place is FANTASTIC! They have done everything for me from rugs to backpacks to purses to standard clothing. Not just cleaning, but repair as well. Totally professional and have never been late on any of my orders. Always been kind, respectful, with a grateful approach to everything and a side of humor. Affordable and my go-to. read more

Excellent service. Also offers alterations. Have you used them several times and I am always pleased.

Dry cleaning is done expertly and quickly at a reasonable price. Service is helpful and friendly.

I took my pants to Sparkling Cleaners for alteration, and they did a great job in shortening them. The service was right on time, and the owner was very friendly; thus, it made everything smooth and easy. Prices are reasonable, Highly recommended! read more

I've been coming here for years. I love this place! The pricing is great. Quick and straightforward service. Great location with plenty of parking. I always get a text saying my clothes is ready days before expected. THE BEST!!! Highly recommend :) read more

went there for the Thursday special for men's laundry shirts, and he put in for dry cleaning so when we got there to pick up her shirts, it was twice the price. Dont go there they will bait a switch ask for the total before you leave . We will never go lback even though they are in walking distance. There's another one in Playa Del Rey that's so much better called Playa del Rey cleaners !!! read more

I've been coming here for some time and have found that Sparkling offers some promotional days - Tuesdays and Thursdays that are great to use. I've been able to address collar stains and other needs at times for dress shirts, and have collectively been able to decide whether or not they need treatment. This is because deep stain treatments, at times, can shorten the life of a piece of clothing. Overall, I've found this place pretty accessible off Manchester and reasonable. The owner is friendly, and so I'm not sure the other reviewers have been fair to the service this cleaners is providing. Regardless, my experience has been nothing short of positive and I look to keep coming back to support this business. read more

Quality of service has been steadily declining to the point I gave up. Clothes were not done when promised. Discounts were reduced/taken away. Additional charges for using a credit card and, in the end, the work was not that good. read more

I just picked up my dry cleaning from here and it looks wonderful! I had tried this place before with the old owners and was not impressed because they were unable to do a good job with my lab coat, but the new owner, Emad, was so friendly, professional, and welcoming when I came in with my items. I brought my items on Monday, and Emad told me that my items would be ready Friday after 5pm, but guess what! I got a text that they were ready at 10:15am this morning! Emad told me that they found a stain on my boyfriend's tie and tried to get it out without ruining the tie, since the material is sensitive. They did their best, and to be honest, I only saw the stain when I looked very closely at it. He did an excellent job! I am very pleased and I will be bringing all my dry cleaning here from now on! Thank you Emad! read more

Excellent service! Needed suit dry cleaned in a short time span due to my inability to plan but they were able to get my suit cleaned and ready for an important interview within 2 days. Suit looked as good as when I first bought it. read more

I'm new to the neighborhood and thought I'd give this place a try. I'll never be back. I picked up my clothes from here and immediately put on one of the sweaters that had just been cleaned. As soon as I took it out of the bag, I was overwhelmed by the stench of animal feces. The sweater and all the other clothes I had cleaned at Sparkling Cleaners smelled like feces, right out of the bag on the very day I picked them up. There was also a disgusting stain on the outside of one of the bags. When I brought the clothes back to Sparkling Cleaners and explained my concerns about the clothes, the owner did not apologize and instead suggested that the clothes smelled bad when I brought them in to be cleaned. He had no explanation for the stain on the bag and refused to even smell the clothes to see what I was talking about until I absolutely insisted. He offered to clean the clothes again for free and I at least thought I'd give him a chance to fix the problem. When I came to pick them up again, the owner still did not apologize and even suggested that the clothes smelled bad because they had been sitting in my car for a long time before I returned them to him. The clothes smelled that way as soon as I picked them up the first time, and they were only sitting in my car for one day before I brought them back. His excuses for the awful smell simply don't work. Most of the clothes smell somewhat better but the sweater still smells like animal feces and there is now a sticky spot on it that wasn't even there when I dropped the clothes off the second time. I am beyond disappointed in Sparkling Cleaners and will not be returning. read more

Just got my clothes back for the first time and they did an excellent job! I was frankly kind of concerned after dropping it off after reading some negative reviews since I dropped of $1k worth of Hugo Boss dress clothes, but I can attest they did excellent work on my suits and shirts and pants. Not sure where the other reviews came from, but those must be far in the past. read more

My cleaners of over 20 years unexpectedly closed so I thought I would take my bedding to my local neighborhood cleaners to give them a try. I think they were reasonable and Emad was friendly and pleasant, and I even received a text when my item was ready. I prefer to patronize local small businesses and look forward to taking my items to this local small business in the future . read more

*** I'd be remiss if I did not review Sparkling Cleaners. *** I spilled some coffee on off-white linen pants and seafoam green cotton shirt. Coffee stains on pastel and light colors! I thought for sure they were ruined forever so they sat in my closet for 6 months before I finally took them to the cleaners. Well once I did drop these off, the lady here suggested "not to get my hope up but she'll see what can be done". She asked to keep them until Thurs. It was Sun at that time but I agreed. Hell, they sat in the closet for 1/2yr ... so what's 5 more days? Now both pieces look brand new. Idk how she did it, but yay! *** Don't be in a hurry. It's slow around here yet all good. *** read more

Do not go to this shop! I dropped off ONE VEST on a Monday And gave them more than enough time to clean it. I go to pick it up on Wednesday before my flight and they did not do anything to it!! I am furious! The guy working tried to lie and say they cleaned it when clearly it looked exactly like I brought it in. There are a ton of other cleaners near this one, avoid this at all cost. read more

The owner is super friendly, honest, and helpful. Their prices are standard for LA dry cleaning. I love their Thursday special for shirt laundering @ only $1.99. The dry cleaning is excellent. I was extremely pleased with my boxed dress shirts for a trip the next day or two. I have been there twice and will become a regular customer. read more

I have to admit finding a good dry cleaner was a real pain for quite a few years after moving to PDR 10 years ago. After my previous local dry cleaner lost 5 of my expensive dress shirts in one order, and then tried to replace them with generic dress shirts and pass them off as mine - I needed to find a new cleaner. Thankfully Emad took over Sparkling Cleaners from the previous owner and I have never looked back. I have used Sparkling Cleaners every week for the past few years. My clothes have always come out perfect and on time. Emad is super-friendly and is always helpful as is his staff. I have also had multiple suits altered as well as dress pants and dress shirt alterations at Sparkling Cleaners. The tailoring is excellent work and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this business - and there are good discounts advertised (see pics). Enjoy! read more

Sparkling Cleaners - Example of Special Deals... - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Playa Del Rey, California

Sparkling cleaners has been taking care of my dry cleaning and alteration needs for the past 4 years. I can't say enough about their level of their professionalism. As someone who works in the fashion industry, I'm extremely particular about my clothing, and I've never had a bad experience with them. Not only is the dry cleaning service top notch, I'm equally impressed with their alteration service. The manager is helpful, flexible, and accommodating. They routinely go above and beyond, and their pricing is very reasonable. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Best dry cleaner in the Playa Del area. read more

I'm not impressed by the quality of the work! It's average for what I was charged! I took 4 items and paid $38.00 I should have read the reviews before I dropped them off! I feel the person just threw a number, like a market vendor in Mumbai, waiting for me to barter. I was in such a hurry and did not pay attention, I just feel robbed! read more

Can't recommend this place more, super friendly did an excellent job with my garments. Took 4 pants in to get taken in at the waist and now they fit like a glove. Already dropped off another pair of pants!! Will definitely be coming back read more

I find it hard to find a trustworthy nice dry cleaning place and I was so lucky to meet Emad at Sparkling Dry Cleaners. He is very fair in his pricing and actually listens to what I am looking to alter or stain removal. Emad is very trustworthy and knowledgeable with what he does. I am tall and thin so I have to get many things altered to have the perfect wardrobe. Anyone looking for a wonderful, professional Dry Cleaning store go see Emad at Sparkling Dry cleaners in Playa Del Rey. I highly recommend his store. The turn around time on my clothes is very fast as well, even if they are being altered. Thank you for always taking such wonderful care of my things and for altering my pieces of clothing perfect! I first went to Sparkling Cleaners out of convenience. I live right down the street and needed a few silk tops dry cleaned. The shirts were ready three days later which was fine, no huge rush. I picked up my shirts and they were nicely cleaned and pressed. Last week, I had a few delicate items for dry cleaning. The items included were a lace top, silk shorts, and a silk top with a silk camisole underneath. The silk camisole was attached to the top. This information is pertinent considering the final outcome. Seeing that I had gone once before and they did a good job, I would try them again. When I picked up my dry cleaning, the items looked good. It wasn't until I got home and started putting away my clothes that I noticed the damage. 1 - my silk shorts were pinned to the hanger with SAFETY PINS!! Who puts holes in silk?! I've used other dry cleaners that use small plastic clips, but never safety pins. 2 - the camisole had been detached from the top!! Not only was it detached, it was yanked from the top. The inseams had been ripped and it had caused a hole in the shoulder seam. Whoever handled my clothes was careless. That is the last time I will ever use Sparkling Cleaners. Sad too because they are really conveniently located. read more

2015 UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT... I took my clothes here a couple of years ago and it was run by an older lady whose prices were steep and provided very, let's say interesting, customer service. A few months ago (around February of 2015) Sparkling Cleaners seems to have been sold to a nice young man name Imad. Imad provides excellent customer service. He is friendly, and appreciative of the business I provide. As far as the business of dry cleaning, everything comes back clean, fresh and not smelling of the usual dry cleaner chemicals (which has happened to me before at another place). I had one dress shirt which I thought I had destroyed. It had a major ink stain on the sleeve (about the size of a half dollar - if anyone remembers those coins). Anyhow, Imad was able to remove the stain with no trace whatsoever - to the astonishment of my coworkers who thought the shirt was a goner as well. I am very glad that Imad has taken over this shop and I highly, highly recommend people try his establishment. I would like to see him stay in business here in our neighborhood for a very long time. Like doctors and dentists, it's hard to find a good dry cleaner in this town (especially one who appreciates their customers!). read more

I took my daughters dress to be altered on Wednesday for an event on Saturday. They happily and gracefully did some major alterations on short notice. The dresses alterations came out perfect. Will definitely be back if I need more alterations in the future. Would gladly give my cleaning business in the future. I was in the need of a fast turnaround dry cleaning service. My girlfriend often washes her bedding at Sparkles which is few doors down and we know this little strip mall offered quite a bit of parking and had several stores one of which was a dry cleaning service. Yesterday which was a Friday (04-05-2013) I came in with one item (a shirt) that I needed to have dry cleaned and available for pickup on Monday (04-08-2013). I was told that the earliest they could have my ONE ITEM back was Tuesday (04-09-2013). I am heading to Las Vegas next week and need it now, not later. If you are looking for fast turnaround service Sparkling Cleaners is probably not the place you want to go. I will not be back to this cleaner. read more

I had a good experience here on a recent visit. I was going on a trip, and I needed some pants altered. It was late, and all other places were (A) not open, (B) did not have anyone there to take measurements, or (C) wouldn't guarantee that the pants could be ready in time. But Sparkling Cleaners (though it was closing at the time) took the measurements, made a rush order, and didn't even charge extra. They did a good job on the pants as well. The woman who runs the place is pretty friendly (and chatty). read more

I use this dry cleaners every single week for my work clothes. I see some of the bad reviews but I have to say that I've tried a lot of dry cleaners and this place is more successful than most at fixing clothes and removing stains. I've come here a few times now and they've been fine. However, when I had my cashmere sweaters dry cleaned recently and 2 out of 3 shrunk. Not sure how they managed to do that but it came back as a cropped sweater! Really disappointed and bummed out. Cashmere sweaters are not cheap and it hasn't had enough usage yet for it to just go to waste. If you are planning on getting your sweaters cleaned be warned. Their alterations and dry clean for other items of clothing are ok. read more

After moving to Playa Del Rey two years ago from Venice, I was worried about finding a dry cleaners that I trust and could afford in my neighborhood. As a fashion lover and perfectionist, I have a high bar for cleaners to meet and really value my relationship with my dry cleaner because my prized possessions are in their hands! After doing a little research, I came across Sparkling Cleaners, conveniently close by and affordable. After interacting with the kind, very respectable owner I felt confident my clothes would be well taken care of. After my first visit I was thrilled and hooked, I have been taking several items weekly to Sparking Cleaners since my move, and have always been perfectly satisfied with the results. After building a great rapport with the owner, I put my most prized possession in his hands - my wedding dress. The wedding dress tailor had stained my dress which I discovered to my horror only one week before my wedding. I called up Sparkling Cleaners and not only did they say they would rush clean it in time for my wedding, but gave me assurance and peace of mind I guarantee other cleaners would not provide. The result- a perfect wedding day and a stain free dress! Beyond dry cleaning, I've also had Sparkling Cleaners tend to several tailoring needs, which have also been completed perfectly. All in all, I'm a huge fan and as an entrepreneur myself, really admire the kindness, care and professionalism Sparkling Cleaners brings to their work. read more

I've lived across the street for 6 years and even though this place is close by I stayed away because of the reviews. But I decided to go as I saw a sign for PROTECTING UGGS. I figured what could go wrong right they would just spray them so they could be protected. I brought in a new pair of black uggs and I only wore them once. It costs $30 to get them cleaned and sprayed. Ridiculous! They are already clean. But I thought maybe it was a special coating to make them better and it would last longer. I could have just purchased the spray myself. It took 1 week for the shoe to be ready. And they do not look the same, they look worse. They used a brush or something on the shoe and there are little fuzzy balls around them. The only reason I'm writing this review is to warn others that not only will you be out of $30, your expensive UGGS will be ruined!! I wish I would have done my homework before I took these in, but too late. :( read more
