I had an appointment 1-5 on 26Aug. I never saw an installer. I called to find out what happened the office told me the apartment was unserviceable. Their notes stated no one answered the door. I installed cable for Cox and Comcast for 4 years. It was going to be a new install. It was going to be a little more work they just didn't want to do it. I took off work and waited at home for 4 hours. Now I've lost money time and my is tied up till I can be refunded the money I put down. Your company should not take new installs if you don't want to them. The apartments in front of me have service. I'm certainly going to tell anyone who will listen to don't waist there time because of the job is a little difficult they will blow you off. read more

I've used them since they opened on the coast. I think it was early 1970. I've been satisfied until recently. They seem to have a few customer service people that do not understand much plus 2 men that came out understood nothing at all about Wyfy- and technology such as computers. One man came out a month ago and got the strength better and everything worked fine. It's computer knowledge that needed by all . I had a good experience with Sparklight for 3 years. Person came out and Hooked up the modem and made sure everything was working. Had my account on auto bill for 3 years and only had significant loss of internet twice in that time. Although I thought pricing was somewhat expensive, I am moving to a new area and the cost will be doubling what I paid here. So now the pricing looks pretty decent. Funny how perspective does that. read more

Exactly what you should expect from a monopoly. Expensive 'basic' service and indifferent, bordering on rude, customer service - if you can get through. Short, but true, story; a tenant in our rental condo used the Internet service to stream movies instead of watching cable TV (honestly, who could blame them) and during one (just one) billing month they pulled down just over 500GB of data (501.79GB to be exact). This was all Cable One needed to justify exploding our service level up to the next highest tier and they will not even consider lowering it to a more affordable level until THREE MONTHS after usage returned to under the one month it was used for more than 500GB. This is price gouging, pure and simple. Read the fine print in the service agreement people to see how they will screw you and get DirecTV (or better yet - FREE TV with an antenna) and U-Verse for data until another provider comes to town. It is in your best interest not to give these people your money. You'll be sorry. I know I am. read more

it's ok service. The internet is spotty at high usage times. The fibers need to be updated like 90% of internet providers. It slows down at 5pm when most get home from work/ school. Getting the update would be great. Google fibers in most locations will change everything. The same as the rest I guess. Good customer service though! read more

Where do I start. I wish I could record how horrible my connection is right now. In the year of 2020, there should be no way that WiFi is this bad. There's no excuse. What gets me is that this is pretty much the only cable company here, so if they're making so much money, shouldn't they invest in bettering their WiFi and cable. I'm literally watching a basketball game. It's freezing so many times that the live game is literally over with and mine is showing 2minutes left in the game. I'm disappointed. It's to the point that I don't even wanna leave a one star, because Im lying. I don't even want to begin with what happens when I call. It's like they hate their job or like I'm calling them when they have 5minutes before they get off or something. If the WiFi and cable is this bad, I deserve a discount. Rates much too high. I was a 7 year customer. My bill increased to 225 monthly for 2 tv service internet and phone. Call them to request a discount due to being on fixed income. They refused. This is the letter I just sent to their president and COO... Something needs to be done about their "service." Greetings, I hope this finds you well. My name is Douglas. I live in Biloxi MS and today, I had a horrible experience when calling my local CableOne office. It started with me realizing that I needed to pay my cable bill. My fiancé and I have been customers (as well as our families and friends) for a while and from time to time- we only had to contact CableOne for technical issues. So, on this day, without wanting to lose anymore time, I decided to call CableOne and make a payment. I arrived home, my phone connecting to wifi (Internet provided by CableOne as well) and sat on my couch. I turned on my television and saw that my TiVo was frozen. Not concerned since I was calling CableOne, I called the local office and waited. The phone answered to an automatic message, informing me that my service is disconnected. With panic, I elected to make a payment and deal with the TiVo technical issue second. I waited and when I was finally connected to a person, I informed him (Ray) that I was making a payment. With EXTREME rudeness, he stated: "do you want to reactivate your service?" I replied: "oh, just making a payment." His response: "THAT IS NOT WHAT I ASKED!" I had the phone on speaker and my fiancé (from another room in the house) rushed in and was appalled at how I was talked to. I requested to speak to a different representative. The second representative (Karen) informed me that my service had been "physically" disconnected due to no payment. I was confused since my internet was working; I requested to make a payment. She took a moment to respond, and when she did- my bill was much higher than it normally is. She informed me that it was because they hadn't received payment since July, and now I owe that, along with August and September. Then, on top of that- pay several reactivation fees because it was due yesterday and I didn't pay. My bank statement showed that I paid August's bill, so I was very confused. The total Karen gave me came to just under $500. My normal bill is $135. I plead my case to her and hope for a mutual loyalty to wave the fees and me just pay the $298 for two months. I was informed that there was no way to make that happen. I told her that I was paying for a wedding in December and I could not pay the two months and the fees. Her tone alone made me feel extremely unimportant. Our conversation ended without reaching a solution. I checked my bank statements and it showed I paid in July and every month since and prior. I called them back and without any help, we reached the same conclusion. I gave up. I informed them that I will end my relationship with them because I felt that loyalty meant nothing to CableOne. Their response... "Sorry you feel that way." My fiancé, fueled with confusion and frustration, called them back. This time (Beth) informed her that we paid in July. She couldn't tell us what month was missed. At this point, we requested a supervisor. We were told they would call us back. We couldn't understand the information they were giving us. It didn't make sense. Our internet was fine, our TiVo frozen, and bank records to back us up. If there was an error on my part, I was more than willing to pay what I could until my account was current. But they not only couldn't tell me what month I'd missed, but they insisted that I pay the nearly $500 up front, no exceptions, or turn in my equipment. We finally received a call from a supervisor (Laura) and it was equally counterproductive. Her attitude was not pleasant and her information was the same. We reached a point where we informed her that we will be parting ways due to how we have been treated throughout this ordeal. There was absolutely no concern on her end regarding whether or not we stayed with CableOne, and she didn't care to help find a way to fix the situation. They say that a positive review will travel to two or three people, but a negative review travels to ten or more. I find that to be shame, and I'll go out of my way to praise a company or a specific employee when I've had a great experience. Sadly, that can't be the case in this particular scenario. My fiancé and I very much enjoyed the products we purchased from CableOne, but due to the incredible disconcern and lack of respect we were met with today - from four different people, no less - I can't confidently say that I could be convinced to come back. Instead of trying to maintain a business relationship with us, they treated us like irresponsible scumbags who don't pay their bills. I'm hoping this email can help save others from having a similar experience. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I sincerely hope that the customer service and billing departments will eventually learn how to treat people with kindness - because you'll always attract more flies with honey than you will with vinegar. read more

I am very pleased with the service that I am receiving with Cable One so far. They were very courteous with my installation. The technician was wonderful even back-filling the space that he had to dig up in the yard. They were also courteous enough to let me know when I exceeded my limit and gave me ideas on how to better manage my service. read more

Well, we have just returned to cable from Direct TV (never again by the way) .. I don't know about the TV yet, only had it one day but I do know about the tech (Eon) and his work and this is what this rating is about. He was professional in every way, told us what we needed to know, fixed everything to our satisfaction, just a good installation all the way around. The one thing I remember about Cable one is that first, you always get a person when you call and second, the techs we have dealt have been excellent. That, apparently, has not changed. read more
