I like the cast of news people especially the weather. What I wished the weather would tell more is…read morethe water temperature of the gulf, what flags are up and wind speeds. Especially during the summer months. Many times we want to head to the beach for an afternoon, Gulf Shores or Orange Beach area, and we don't have reliable facts on what's going on. Also please stop reporting what gasoline costs are. Everyone driving a car can see what the huge lighted signs are projecting price per gallon. We all know it's high right now as it was 2-3 years ago. If you're going to make that part of your regular announcements then when gas prices drop again tell us how low they are and what station has the cheapest gas (even though we can see it as we are out and about filling up) so really very unnecessar!!

This is my 2nd choice for local weather, news, sports, etc. They do some good Mardi Gras coverages…read moreevery year but other local coverages are a bit lacking. WKRG-TV, virtual channel 5 (UHF digital channel 20), is a CBS-affiliated television station that's been around since 1955. For years, WKRG-TV was the only locally owned station in the Mobile-Pensacola-Pascagoula area. The station is owned by Nexstar Media Group, as part of a duopoly with Gulf Shores, Alabama-licensed CW affiliate WFNA (channel 55). The two stations share studios with several radio stations owned by iHeartMedia on Broadcast Drive in southwest Mobile; WKRG-TV and WFNA also share transmitter facilities in Baldwin County near Spanish Fort, Alabama. They have some digital broadcasts as well 5.2: Ion Television 5.3: MeTV 5.4: Court TV Bottom line: They have a decent mobile app and weather app and do a decent job with local coverages. https://www.wkrg.com/

It's followed by an hour of fun stuff like cooking with Chef Nino at Rouses and other regional flavor pieces. They also give lots of beach coverages with excellent severe weather coverage from across the Gulf coast. Definitely my local station of choice! It's been around since 1953 and it is Mobile's oldest existing television station. I has been affiliated with all the major networks over the years but finally hitched it's wagon to Fox in '94. WALA-TV, virtual channel 10 (VHF digital channel 9), is a Fox-affiliated television station licensed to Mobile, Alabama, United States and also serving Pensacola, Florida. The station is owned by the Meredith Local Media subsidiary of Des Moines, Iowa-based Meredith Corporation. WALA-TV's studios are located on Satchel Paige Drive in Mobile, with an additional studio and news bureau on Executive Plaza Drive in Pensacola. The station's transmitter is located in Spanish Fort. They also broadcast digital channels: 10.2: Cozi TV 10.3: Laff 10.4: Court TV Mystery 10.5: Circle Bottom line: They are the area news and weather leader with nice apps and social media presence.
