Worst water company I've ever encountered. I've lived in Alabama, Texas. Mississippi , New Jersey and this company is by far the worst I've had to deal with.. boil water notice every couple of days. Waters brown, bill is outrageous always. How can we be forced to pay for the worst service imaginable. read more

THEY WILL MAKE YOU THE FALL GUY FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S DEBTS! I have been in contact back and fourth with Great River UOC for three days now becasue they are forcing me to pay the debt of the current account holder (previous tenant at my address) by telling me that I can have the account for this location moved to my name but I will have to pay what the previous tenant had owed, and they are cutting off my sewage until I pay it. If you have to use them, have a lawyer you trust close by. read more

They sent me a letter encouraging me to fill out a form to be their customer n if I don't fill it out or contact them they will make an account for me and charge me! I rec'd the letter in the mail today 8/11 and they sent it on 8/1. So does that mean they are already charging me!?!! We have our own well & septic system. I should not be having to deal with this! I thought it was another scam n was going to throw it away. It is a scam from a real company!!!! read more

The company should be replaced. We shouldn't be forced to use a water company that constantly has issue, ocean springs area has been under a boil water advisory for weeks and the water has been brown for weeks and is still brown and we get a letter in the mail today saying they are going up on the rates from 74$ to 96$ a month which is suppose to help lower rates for most customers but I guess I wasn't one of those customers because my rate is higher ! Make it make sense. Shutting down would improve the company greatly or get ride of the management and get in some management that knows what they are doing. read more

A terrible Company who came in from Missouri and bought out the local water Co. They were quick to point out issues with the system and service, but slow to fix them and levied all the costs on the customers. They have a rude superiority complex, and deceivingly didn't up rates the first bill, but shortly thereafter had astronomical rate increases. When we hit 2nd Tier usage rate, it used to go from 40-something for the month to 58 tops. GRUO Co. consistently charges over 70 dollars for the Tier that used to be 58. Then they have the audacity to put a Surcharge on the bill and not even explain what it is for...All the locals I have heard, hate this interloping Company that has an ESG (Env. Sustaining Government, kinda like DEI nonsense) department and they are just staunch money grubbers! Still have water that smells too much of chlorine, so they're not even yet putting out higher quality water - Shameful. read more

Called in 7 times to have water turned on and still no water. It has been 12 days! When I call and ask for a supervisor they have to ask the supervisor if they can put in a request for a supervisor to call me within 24 hours! WHAT? Why can't the supervisor help me now? We have been on the 24 hour supervisor call 3 times and they NEVER call back. We are at the mercy of this company. There needs to be a legal option for us with this company. We have renters that can't move in because NO WATER. THIS COMPANY DOESN'T EVEN QUALIFY FOR A 1 STAR. HELP!!!!!! read more

Numerous rate increases in the past two years and has not expanded any additional services to justify price hikes. Multiple complaints about this company but nothing has been done to address their outrageous charges. read more

Stay away from this company at all costs!!!! They purchase small water associations and expect the customers to pay for upgrades to the systems. They knew the condition when they purchased them. If they didn't, it is their own fault. Rates are consistently rising. Already rates have tripled. Customer service is arrogant and unhelpful. They have a monopoly in rural counties, so they think they can charge whatever they want. I hope they go bankrupt!!!! I didn't want to even give one star. read more
