Movers broke my furniture, lost pieces and left parts behind preventing full re-assembly. I had to catch and hold a column of wrongly stacked boxes from falling over (large boxes were stacked on top of small). I had to lift and move several items myself (42 yr old mom) with 3 movers on site. It's been nearly 3 weeks after my move and I still have no pillows or bedding - been sleeping on a mattress for 3 weeks. Every night I go to sleep I'm reminded of the moving experience with Two Men and a Truck. I specifically told them which items go inside the new residence and which ones go to storage .... multiple times. My bedding and a number of other items were placed in storage (after being told they go into the new home). Everything is stacked in a 10x10 storage unit and items are buried under boxes and I don't know which items are where. I caught one of the movers carrying on a lengthy conversation with some random person on the sidewalk while being paid $285/ hr. Absolutely NOT worth the nearly $2,000 I was charged and paid for a local move. I gave the movers drinks and snacks half way through the move (because it was hot & I care) which they promptly discarded the bottles and packaging in the street and on the front lawn of my new residence. At the end of it all, I was in tears. I highly recommend to please find a different moving company at a better price. Try Angie's List or check your local storage companies, they usually have recommendations for good movers. The level of experience, care, and professionalism that I was expecting simply was not there. They do not exhibit nor do they honor a so called "Grandma Rule". I emailed about the damages as instructed .... nothing ... but silence. I had quotes from multiple movers and all were lower than Two Men and a Truck. Despite being the highest of all the quotes, I thought it would be worth the extra funds for experienced & professional movers, but that's not what I got. The service was not at all worth the $285/ hr I paid. Save your money and find a better moving company.

Jewelry Missing! We…read moreused The Movers, Inc for a recent military move and storage. Typically, it only takes 2 days to pack us out- one to pack, on to load the truck. However, The Movers Inc took 3 days- two very short days to pack (arriving well after 10 and departing around 4 the first day; arriving around 9:30 the second day and leaving well before 4) followed by the standard truck loading day. While our household goods were in storage a book box sustained serious water damage and the front panel of a trundle bed was irreparably damaged. The worst thing though, was upon receipt of our household goods we found box labels were rather useless- boxes said kitchen, but had living room items in them, etc. A box labeled merely "clothes" had all my jewelry in it- that is everything but the only 2 high value items- mine and my husband's college rings- and a HS ring that only *looked* like it might have value. I guess they are all lumps of gold at one of those "we buy gold" places now!

The driver called and told me he was too "worn out" to deliver and said a total of 5 swear words insulting his boss while I was on the phone because she told me he would be here. He was only 200 miles away and would've been here by 6, the original time we were told was "evening eta" as is. He's just a lazy, unprofessional person and the managers aren't much better for letting their drivers make their own ETAs and talk to customers that way. Horrible communication and customer service skills.

(Shuttle is a small truck brought in for picking up the goods instead of a big truck, later the stuff will be transferred to the big truck for the actual move).Although it was in the contract that they would charge $200 for shuttle, USA moving group didnt exclusively specify it to me. Moreover the move was not from my apartment but from a public storage location where a big truck could easily come and go, but i think to make money these guys brought in shuttle (one guy from the company visited a day earlier and knew shuttle was not needed). The move took more than a month, my stuff was picked up on 06/13, i told them i am joining my new apt on 06/28 and would be ready to receive from 06/28. But when i called them one week later on 07/06, they told that as per contract they can deliver 21 days after 06/28.(Initially they told me that the entire would not take more than two weeks). Finally they came on 07/19. I had virtually no valuables so most of it arrived safe and sound except for my brand new wireless router which was stolen(or misplaced by them). One of my boxes which i marked arrows saying which side is TOP, had big holes in it, i think as if to see if it contained any valuables. I would not recommend this company and KLM Vanlines.

I had a very disappointing experience with this moving company and would strongly encourage others…read moreto do their research before booking with them. The initial quote I received was $2,220, and I was led to believe that this was the total cost of my move to Florida. What the company does not clearly explain is that they operate as a broker and outsource the actual move to a third-party moving company. The quote you receive from the broker is not necessarily the final cost of your move, and this is how they make their money. Everything seemed fine until moving day. When the third-party movers arrived, they informed me that the cost would be significantly higher than what I had already agreed to and paid through the broker. To make matters worse, they refused to begin loading my furniture until I sent additional payment through Zelle. Since I had to vacate my apartment that same day, I felt pressured into paying the extra charges. The surprises did not stop there. When my belongings arrived in Florida, I was charged again for the remaining balance and then hit with additional fees to unload and place my items into a storage unit. None of these costs were clearly explained beforehand. In total, my move ended up costing nearly $3,700 instead of the $2,220 I was originally quoted--almost $2,000 in unexpected charges. For reference, I only moved 29 boxes, two small 45-inch TVs, two lamps, and a table. The lack of transparency, hidden fees, and last-minute payment demands made this an extremely stressful experience. If you are considering using this company, make sure you fully understand whether you are dealing with a broker or an actual moving company, ask for all potential fees in writing, and carefully review the contract before signing anything. Be cautious and educate yourself about common moving industry scams so you do not end up facing the same situation.
