Mattituck, NY office…read more This company was contracted by my mom's condominium complex to provide interior and exterior window cleaning services to any of the 288 unit owners who chose to participate and pay for the service. Because the windows had not been cleaned in years, she agreed to have the work done. On the scheduled service date, my mom was not feeling well. She is in her 80s and did not feel comfortable allowing anyone inside my unit that day. Myself and my wife were present at the time. They questioned why the exterior windows were not coming clean and were told by the workers that the windows were "too dirty." This explanation was confusing, as cleaning dirty windows was the reason the company was hired. My mom is generally easy-going and agreed that the company could return at a later date to complete the interior window cleaning when she was feeling better. A portion of the bill was paid, even though the interior windows were never cleaned and the exterior windows were not properly cleaned either. The exterior windows remain just as dirty as they were before the service attempt. We simply seeking fair resolution for services that were paid for but not adequately performed.

They decided not to install the new padding because the one that was under the existing carpet was quite new. This saved them all of the labor that would've been involved to remove the existing padding and to install the new padding... a significant part of the overall job in my estimation. I was refunded the cost of the new padding (even though I have to take their word for it because there wasn't a line item for the cost on the estimate), but they still charged me the full cost of labor. I called them to discuss this and was told they don't refund on labor. I don't think it's fair to make me pay for work that ended up not being done. I don't feel like I was treated fairly and my complaint wasn't taken seriously.

I ordered a cord of wood. Paid in cash as they expect. That's fine. They delivered a little more than half a cord and refused to deliver the rest. despite it already being paid for. When they dropped the firewood, I told the driver it didn't look like a full cord. He insisted it was. When I stacked it, it was quite clear it was slightly more than a half cord. I called, was asked to send pics and measurements. I did. it was clear. Chris's response? I've been in business 35 years I don't make mistakes. And he's yelling. Because that's what you do to a dissatisfied customer. You yell . And you dont correct your error. You hang up on the customer. And in later convos he denies his earlier statements. Gaslighting. And yelling. Over a half a cord of wood. Cheating a customer for $130. Over his mistake. Class act. (Insert eye roll here) Avoid this guy. His ego makes him difficult to work with. I'm sure he has lots of friends who will write glowing reviews. Sure. Whatever.

I called Johnston's to schedule a cleaning about a month ago, notifying them that my housekeeper called me saying that my renters had made quite a mess so far on the dining room chairs, dining room rug and couch. I pre-scheduled them a month advance to come clean up when the renters checked out as I had another renter checking in two days later. I called them the day before just to confirm my appointment and telling her all 8 dining room chairs were filthy as well as the rug and this was a semi-urgent issue as I cannot rent out the house like this and told them I would like to schedule them for the entire day as they would need to stay until the job is done. "The lady who always answers the phones" said she allowed extra time for my house. The next morning I got called to work for an emergency surgery so when the company showed up at my gate they called my cell phone and when I didn't answer they left. I called back 30 minutes later when I was able to use my phone and the driver didn't answer. I tried him three more times then called the company's main number back and received nothing but attitude and blame. The lady said the driver cannot return to the house he was already on his way to another job, even though I booked him for the entire day! I felt 30 minutes was not a big deal to cancel the day and he could've at least knocked on my front door as there were people in the house waiting for him to show up. The lady was going to call the driver and see what he could do and see if he can come later in the day, yet she never called me back to check on anything or give me an update. I felt like if I had booked an appointment a month in advance AND also told her it was semi-urgent the day prior that they could've tried a little harder to knock on my front door (climb over a 4-ft fence) rather than call my cell phone and leave! Long story longer, I will not call again.

More recently, a track lighting fixture very high up on a cathedral ceiling stopped working, We made an appointment for All Wright to come to fix this. We told them that the fixture was very high up and suggested that they bring an extra long ladder. We were told that one of their technicians would be in our area the next day and would stop by. He said that they fixture was not the problem but that it was a problem with the switch on the wall. When the second technician came, he failed to bring the correct switch and told us to call the office to arrange a follow up appointment. The third guy arrived with the wrong switch but was able to run to our near-by hardward store and buy the correct switch. Imagine our surprise when All Wright charged us for this visit. We ended up paying almost $600 to replace a switch.

I hired Hampton Hardscapes to help fix a flooding issue I had on my property, which also included…read moreraising my pool to stop that from flooding, as well. Much like other reviews, the job went on for about 9 months. My property was left in complete shambles and my front yard became storage for the owner's equipment. They had no respect for my property, regularly discarding their lunch garbage on my property as well as debris from the job. There was trash everywhere. In order to raise my property, he chose to save money and use dirt mixed with concrete and rock. As you can imagine, the concrete has completely hardened over the years causing grass to be built essentially on a concrete slab. My property now does not drain water, so the water just sits on the grass causing me countless water issues. I have had to pay to have drains installed throughout my property in hopes of fixing this issue. I will have to eventually dig all this up and replace this the proper way. They chose not to use concrete to build the walls of my pool patio, instead using paver walls filled with sand. The patio around my pool has collapsed in many areas. When it rains you can watch the sand just flow out the sides of the patio walls. I have patched this over the years, but now it is fully collapsing and will need to be fully replaced. The settling also caused the pool pipes to break and those had needed to be replaced. They chose to use cement block to raise the pool instead of pouring cement. They never filled the holes in the cement blocks properly and never smoothed the edges. Immediately upon completing the job, I had to replace the pool liner because the cement blocks caved in causing holes. I now have to replace the pool liner a second time in 4 years and re-do the work around the pool to correct the poor craftsmanship here. Hampton Hardscapes also installed an outdoor kitchen for me. As I have been having to fix that over the years, I had a high quality mason come and he could not believe that the entire structure was built using wood and stucco, vs building out the structure properly. I will also need to replace this in totality due to poor craftsmanship. All in all, it will cost me about $100K to fix all the low quality work done on my property. I trusted Yasser and his company to fix my issues, but was left with more problems than I started with. The best part is, Yasser threatened to sue ME for withholding less than 5% of the final payment as I begged them to finish the job, get his equipment off my property and fix the things which were broken throughout the process. I can back up this entire review with pictures and receipts.
