Would give zero stars if I could. Appalled at the behavior of an Employee by the name of Laticia. TLDR- Showed up at 9pm because website said 9:30 was last wash. Employee said 9:30p as well when we arrived and then 5 minutes later locked the doors on us and then as good as mocked me while also admitting she didn't care and doesn't give sh!t about her customers when I asked. She told me her name is Laticia and then refused to provide me with her boss's name/info so I told her not to worry because I would find it and would be calling them. I also let her know I would be leaving reviews and to look for them in the near future. Long Version- We showed up to this location at 8:54p exactly since I looked online and saw conflicting times that they closed. Google says 9p but their website says "LAST LOAD 9:30p." I see that both of the doors are propped open when we pull up so I jumped out to find out what time is correct. There were maybe 3-4 people inside, including the employee mentioned above, so I asked very clearly "Do you close at 9p or 9:30p?" The first answer I heard was 10p but I knew that most likely wasn't right so I asked "9 or 9:30?" again. The employee and another person both said 9:30pm and I responded "That's great! Thank you, we really need to get this laundry done! We will go quick!" So I went out to where my bf parked the car, which was right outside the doors that are still propped open. By now it's almost 9pm on the dot so we start to take out our bags to bring them inside. I looked back at the door at 9:05p to see the doors shut. I didn't think anything about it until I tried to open the door and it was locked. I could see the employee in the back watching tv with another man. I knocked several times until I was finally acknowledged. She came to the door & cracked it. I'm not sure if she was having trouble understanding me speaking English, or if she was just trying to get me to leave her alone, but it felt like the latter. Regardless, what made me the most angry was the way she mockingly SMILED during the following interaction. This is as close to verbatim as I can accurately remember: Me- "Are you closing now?" Laticia- "Yes we are closed." Me- "What do you mean closed, you just told me not even 10 minutes ago that we had half an hour. Why did you tell me that and then shut the doors when you can see us directly outside?" (STILL SMILING) Laticia- "I don't know..." Me- "Do you even care that you did that?"(*she doesn't respond to this verbally- she just passively agreed) Me- "Oh no? You don't care at all? You don't give a shit about us or anyone else?" To which she continued to smile and nod. Me- "Well that's nice, now we know to never come back here. What's your name?" She answers here so then I asked "What is your bosses name and phone number?" but this she refused to give me. I said that it didn't matter because I could find out just as easily on my own and I hope you enjoy reading reviews about you because I will be sure to post about my experience. and I will also be calling your boss." I have never been treated so poorly by someone in "customer service" and was prepared to use this laundromat regularly but will never go back. I understand people have bad days etc. but this was blatant and her lack of sympathy and empathy and basic kindness was and still is appalling. We will be taking our business literally anywhere else. This is my first time here - never used a public laundry facility before and I was a little lost at first. You have to purchase a "laundry card" and add $$ to it. The laundry card will be deducted based on how much time you want to use the dryer. For washing it was just a flat fee. I put about $40 on mine (you don't need that much I just only had $20 bills). I used up about $30. I washed and dried 3 comforters and it only took about 1 hour from start to finish. The owner saw that I looked lost and showed me what to do. I wanted to get it done before I headed into work (it was obvious as I was wearing scrubs). In any event, had a great conversation with the owner who is a UCI graduate. I was there at 8am and only about 2 people were there. Very clean place, plenty of parking and a nice Mexican restaurant (El Maguey) and a Mexican market in the plaza. Will definitely come back here to wash my comforters! read more

Love this place. Great people. Clean area. Machines work. You deposit cash or credit cards and it gives you a card. You work off the balance on the card. they have a couple absolutely massive machines, like 10 load massive. Close to beach, close to I-5. You should go here. Plenty of counter space to fold clothes. As good as any coin laundry I've been at. (If I were to recommend anything, it's this: don't make your bathroom coin operated. That's too much. But the employee on site was helpful when I couldn't find a quarter). read more

Yes the place is clean and the machines work well enough to come back, but the owners here are very nosy and talk about the people not knowing some can understand them as well. I've been coming here for over 5 years, so I think I know how to work their machines I haven't had any previous issues but today the owners are in and just giving off dirty looks along with them being nosy on how I am washing my things. Just a bit unprofessional and rude since I am minding my business and I am following instructions that are right on the machines. Their PM staff isn't any better, it's usually an older woman that works and she is very very rude. In this plaza this happens to be the one place with a restroom but to ask to use it seems like an inconvenience to them at times as well. read more

Horrible experience, Staff members doing their own thing they're not helping when I ask for help they gave me the dirtiest look most of the washers weren't working. Unfortunately the washer that I was trying to use gave me an error after I put my card to activate the washer. It didn't work , I called one of the workers and she got mad at me because she said that it didn't work because I choose the option given (extra rinse ) she exclaimed do not press that button that's why it gave you the out of order error. I was surprised by the way she responded. I told her maybe you should place a signed that reads don't press extra rinse and she got mad. Never coming back read more

I really like how there is a tv and good service there is also a lot of Washing Machines and dryers so it's never crowded.

Be prepared to be treated poorly here. The place is clean, but the person I always seem to get is as rude as rude can be...the other one can't speak English, so you're stuck if there's a problem. Also, bring your own quarters.... Don't use the change machines. They short-change you every time. Find another place if you can. read more

What would the worst laundry mat be like ? First you would make everyone use cards instead of coins, and the change machine would only give out five dollar bills. That way most customers would be cheated out of a dollar or two, being unable to refund the balance on the card. Second the card payment machines would be in bad shape with touch screens that didn't work, card readers that didn't work, and card feeders would jam refusing to issue a card after you just inserted $20. Third, there would not be anyone on site, and not even one sign with a phone number, so you could at least call someone, to try to get your stolen money back. Fourth, when someone finally shows up, you politely ask for your $20 back, they refuse and will only give you credit on a laundry card. They will tell you they have no access to the cash and have no idea what the owner's phone number is. Fifth, when you call the police, they magically find a way to get access to the cash, indicating they were lying and attempting to commit fraud. But they demand you give your phone number before returning the stolen money. This was my experience at Sparklean Laundry. I understand stuff happens. Machines break. But the ONLY ACCEPTABLE RESPONSE to a customer is "Sorry, here is your refund." Their attempt to cheat me is disgusting. read more

$4 to wash a load and about $2 to dry(20min). There is a machine near the entrance to buy a Wash Card which you then insert to the washing machine. The staff speaks Spanish only. Overall it's a decent place. Would repeat. It's about 3 miles from The beach if you're staying at one of those hotels. read more

It's may be clean, but you pay for it. They use laundry cards. A regular small wash is $1.95, a double is $2.95. A Dry is $1.00 for only 20 min. Not sure I'll use this laundry nate much more in the future. read more

Just put $10 in their Laundry Card machine...card came out and when i went to use it, it said it wasn't valid!!!!!! Of course, no one is here OR answered my calls....so, I'm out $10 and i couldn't wash my pillows!!!!! #racket read more

Nice place I just wish that if I have to pay 25¢ to use the restroom that there would be hand soap and paper towels. Also, there are coins stuck in both the slots for the stuffed animal claw game. Other than that, nice place! read more

Excellent. Stayed at St Regis Hotel and was able to do family's laundry for under $20 for three loads. Grocery store close by to purchase detergent, etc and staff were very helpful. read more

Very clean ! Washers and dyers work very well and leave clothes in great condition. They have different sizes of washers/dyers. You can load money on your wash card with a credit card (minimum 15$) and cash. read more

This place has to amazing washers where you can fit a 7 feet rug or 6 conforters queen size for less than 9 dollars. The other day I deposited $20.00 dollars two times to get laundry cards and didnt work. And It was nobody in charge so I worried I had lost my money. So I went back like 5 days after ready to raise my voice in case they didnt want to return my money. But instead of that the owner ( who I spoke by phone) was very nice and gave me my money back. read more
