I hired Spark to clean a townhouse for a move out. They left a broken shelf and drawer in the refrigerator and we had to get Nicor to come out to shut off the gas as they drenched the gas stove and left it clicking with a gas oder. When we moved into our new apartment we noticed it hadn't been cleaned since the last tenant (ugh). Hector and the team at SparkMaids responded right away and were able to come the next afternoon. They were prompt, very friendly, and were very attentive to all that we had to do. They did a *great* job, particularly as they had to work really hard in some spots that clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. Our apartment looks sparkling and new and I feel comfy being here now. I also appreciated that Hector quoted us a flat fee, after a really expensive move, it was appreciated to have a good deal on a great cleaning. We'd love to work with Spark Maids again. read more

Absolutely awful service. Requested a move-in clean. Was overcharged, they did a horrible job. They sprayed windex in places. That's all. A child could do better. I had to go over every single room they "cleaned" for them to actually do it. By the time they were finished it was 11:30. They refused to leave. I don't want to have anyone in my home that late. I sent them their money begrudgingly, even though I paid for move-in rates, they did such a bad job. They offered to come back and clean again. I don't have another 6 hours for you to do a mediocre at best job. When I spoke to the owner, she was condescending and rude. She laughed and said it'll take 40 min for her to come and fix what they didn't clean. Then why did it take them 6 hours to not even do what was asked? Cabinets weren't cleaned. Toilets weren't cleaned. Baseboards weren't cleaned. I sent pictures. This lady stands by her work. No matter how trashy. I didn't want them back in my home. This whole place is a scam. Stay far away. They did offer me a $20 discount on my $600 service. That's the customer service you're getting. I'll update! None of the cabinets were cleaned. I payed right away. I never asked for an emergency cleaning. I asked if you had anyone available, and your front desk said yes. I also asked for wall cleaning, and a checklist over and over. She said you absolutely do wall cleanings, after they got to my home and started working is when your front desk finally decided to send the check list after I asked for the third time, and decided to tell me that you don't touch walls. I only picked this company for wall cleanings. That's obvious in text as well. Regardless, After they went through for another 40 minutes and "recleaned" and still nothing was done correctly. Service was pretty good, but a bit more expensive then we usually paid for cleanings, but I wanted to give them a try. First few cleanings went well overall, but during this last cleaning, scheduled for today, they called me and told me they needed to charge us an additional $70 since we went on vacation and skipped our bi weekly service. If they had told us ahead of time we probably would have agreed, but to tell us at the time of service that they think our house would need additional cleaning is not professional. I am very angry customer!! We have had this service for several years with no problems but recently back in July we found our dining room chairs washed with some type of solvent leaving streaks in the fabric. My wife has contacted the main office multiple times about the chairs and now just in October we had someone come out and inspect. The reply we get back is we the customer must have used a machine on all of our chairs and created the discoloration. The cleaning people went searching in our home without us present to find a tool that they believed cause the fabric to be streaked. I find it bad business for waiting this long to inspect when you come every two weeks to clean house. Then accuse us for their mistake. I would tell anyone never to use this company as they are not honest individuals. I hope anyone reading this will look for another alternative/ company. read more

I have been using Spark Maids now for over 4 years and they have always been great! They do a wonderful job of cleaning and always call ahead to confirm appointments. They are very accommodating to change a schedule and are very reliable. The house always looks great after they are done. They even do the blinds. I love the products they use are environmentally friendly and I feel they are very trust worthy as well. They will attend to anything you ask them too and are always pleasant to talk to. Terrible service. Booked them to come for a move in service. They were to arrive between 3-330. No one bothers to call or text that hey we're gonna be late. I had to call to find out after I had someone waiting at the house to let them in. Then they tell be between 430-5. Okay, great I just need it done I'm moving in today and wanted a clean house. Told by whoever answers the phone, no problem no problem we're sorry for the delay we will get it done today. 5pm rolls around no one calls, no one had arrived. I have to contact the company again, and when they do finally arrive at 520pm, now it's to late to start the job is gonna take 3-4 hours. WHICH THEY KNEW cause that is what they told me when I booked it. Why even show up then, you weren't going to want to start the job at 530 then don't show up and have some customer service and call the customer and tell them. Then they want to apologize this morning with a text... yeah no I will never allow them my business, someone wasted 2 hours waiting for them, and now I have to clean my own home to move into today. I've tried them three different times. The first cleaning was terrible. I decided to give them another try after I spoke to a manager. They said they'd send a new team. The second team was much better and I provided positive feedback to manager. The third time I could see areas where they didn't clean. They also arrived late and finished in an hour??? They are really inconsistent in quality. I'll be looking for a new service. For the record they charged me $110 for a small home with just two people living there. read more

Terrible and very unprofessional. Had a consult, with Claudia, then I called in 5 days before the first day they was supposed to come to reschedule it a day before my initial day. Confirmed it with the only person(Hector) that answers the phone 3 times since his English isn't good. He said I have you rescheduled. On that day no one shows, I called and he said he got me confused with another client. Wow! After confirming it multiple times. I prepped for them to come the night before. I used Spark maids a few times but fired them before they got here for the next clean. If the teams did the cleaning that Claudia states the service does, they would be outstanding. However, the first team was 20 minutes late (very unprofessional) and had missed spots that were pointed out by Claudia to me during the estimate. A new team was sent out. The second team was 25 minutes late to my house. However, the cleaning wasn't as thorough as I expected. Wasn't totally satisfied but not completely unsatisfied either. I would try again. Upon receiving the confirmation text for the next day cleaning, I confirmed and added back that the team needs to be here on time because all the teams were always 20-25 minutes late. I didn't receive a response back. On my cleaning day, I called the office 33 minutes after my scheduled cleaning time and told them the team still wasn't here (they knew where I lived) and to forget today and take me off of the every other week schedule. I added that I had asked them to be on time and again, they were late. On all my scheduled cleaning days, I had no communication that teams would be late. I feel that being late for a scheduled time and without any communication is very unprofessional. If Spark maids trained the teams to clean the stated/estimated cleaning, overall better communication and made sure the teams were on time, they would be excellent. read more

This service was recommended to me so I gave them a chance. They showed up to my house and started cleaning. No questions asked check was taken before even the cleaning was done. As it was a first service provided to me they had a supervisor showed up to my house at the end to do walk threw. At that time both cleaning ladies were gone. Supervisor walked threw each room of my home and find an issue in almost every room. My 4 bathrooms mirrors, bathtub/shower and floors were not done. Nothing was sparkle, stains everywhere. Not mentioned floors. I do have a lot of day light in my house so you clearly can see everything. Kitchen floor and sink was not cleaned, just vacuumed. Dust was in most places and they didn't do what they should of done clearly, At the time, the supervisor offered to me a return of the same ladies to correct the issues. I declined as I don't think having them returned will resolve in any better work that was just done. They promised to have someone else come to me within 24 hours. I got a call the next morning and service was suppose to be in my house at 12 noon. No show, I called the company and they tried to blame that my service was not scheduled till 2:30pm that day. Ridiculous, as I spoke with them in the morning and scheduled for 12 noon. Interesting few minutes after my call, I have 2 ladies at my door apologizing to be late as they were in the other home cleaning. It was 1 hour late and I refused their service at that time. I requested refund. One week past and no refund. I called the company, spoke with supervisor, maid supervisor and finally a lady claiming to be the owner. Very interesting, she was the same lady who came to clean my home and she was clearly having the impression the job was done. She offered me $40 back of the $160.00 I paid to them. I told her this is an insulting to me and I'm very disappointed You came to my house, you didn't do the job and I gave you a chance to corrected but only no one showed up to my house as assigned. She really didn't care what I have to say, or how I felt. She only cared about the money. I did offer to pay her $60.00 and requested that she refund me $ 100.00 she declined. My impression at that time was very impassionate customer service and I left it at accepting the $60. I did tell her I will mentioned the incident to the person I was referred by and some ladies. The owner reply was that she's taping the conversation. At that time I realized they must have many unhappy customers and that's how they resolve their issues. I'm writing this review because I wanted to let you know that they are not what they say they are. The expertise are far from spark cleaning your home.
