We hired SPARK for a corporate event at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farms. It is a unique venue for a corporate event because the location does not have wifi, has bad cell service, and has minimal electrical outlets.  SPARK provided a very detailed quote and included things I forgot to even mention or didn't know we needed. They're very familiar with the venues in the area. They worked well based on the budget we had. Alex and his team also went to the venue for a site visit where we discovered a huge echo in the venue. They were creative and worked on ways to fix it. They also made sure our video wall wouldn't have a glare and we would have shading for when the sun hit directly on the greenhouse. Alex was also great as we had a bunch of performers who needed additional A/V support. He reached out to them and knew exactly what they needed. The team spent hours and hours setting up. It really was a huge production. On the day of, everything was great! The wifi went smoothly and the on-site techs were helpful. One thing to note is that our event was not completely waterproof so when it rained between day 1 and 2, SPARK had to make a few adjustments as some outlets weren't functioning and there was water on some things. They did so quickly before guests arrived. The before & after pictures don't even show all the work put into this! Alex and his team should have been hired for Fyre Fest because they are amazing with producing great events no matter what difficulties there are. read more

Sometimes it's the little details at an event that really make the difference. I knew I wanted string lighting for my event at the Carousel House, and I was so glad I hired SPARK. They were there on time, managed to set up the lights around the catering staff, and the lights were the perfect touch. I will definitely hire them again, and highly recommend them! read more

SPARK Creative Events - Party & Event Planning Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

The lighting at our October wedding at Santa Barbara Women's club was so beautiful! It was pricey, however, we were smart with where we hung lights so we actually didn't need to get all they were proposing. We were very close to saying "no" to lights for budget reasons...but we are so glad we didn't. Even though we got married at 5pm and it was still light out, the rustic vibe was still very present. Then in the evening when people wanted to step outside from the reception for some fresh air, they were able to enjoy a cocktail (or two) under the gorgeous lighting! Seriously, they are worth the investment! read more

SPARK is an absolutely wonderful group to work with. We had an outdoor venue that was slightly unconventional and they came out, measured the space and came up with a range of great options for our event. They were very accommodating to our budget needs and we would absolutely work with them again for future events. read more

OMG! This company is AMAZING! I hold myself out to be a pretty creative person and I can't leave any party of mine undecorated. I wanted to give a rehearsal dinner for my son and his future bride and carry on the theme of "Kim Caught a Fisch" since our last name is Fischman. The kids chose the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum as their venue, and I wanted to continue the "fish theme". Calling Spark Creative Events was the best thing that I ever did. Stephanie, the creative mind behind this company did an amazing job with all of the restrictions that the Maritime Museum gave us. She transformed the room into an underwater palace filled with kelp and bubbles suspended from the ceiling and wavy ocean blue light, giving a feel of being under the water. The tables were decorated with fish bowls bowls filled with sea creatures, kelp and little bouys floating on the top. Each table was pin lit with pin lights hiding from above. The evening was magical. I would highly recommend this Santa Barbara company . I know they do a myriad of other types of events With the same creativity for everything. read more

We worked with Stephanie to provide lighting for our wedding at The Ocean View Farm and she was very professional and helpful when it came to selecting the right equipment for our venue. The lighting was absolutely perfect and beautifully draped through the reception area and cocktail space. The string lights were very romantic and provided the perfect amount of light without being overly bright. We will definitely book with Spark Creative for our future lighting needs! read more

Last month our daughter got married at the Alisal River Terrace in Solvang, California. Since the venue is outside we wanted lights. I called Spark and they were wonderful! Since they had worked at our venue numerous times before, it was quite easy to get what we wanted. They knew exactly how many lights and where to put them. As time for the wedding drew near, we realized that we would need a generator. I called over to Spark, and without hesitation, they added that to our order, knowing exactly what we needed. They came to the venue and set up exactly as planned. We couldn't be more pleased with the service that was given us. I highly recommend them. read more

These guys were amazing; they completely transformed our property to create a high energy yet romantic, beautiful setting for my daughters wedding. They handled the sound for the ceremony perfectly with multiple microphone set ups and music and worked with the band to be sure their sound was perfect. Completely professional, followed through with everything they said they'd do in a timely and on budget fashion. I whole heartedly recommend them for any event. read more

This is a difficult review to write... we had LBPS do lighting and sound for our wedding. It was a small wedding without a DJ. We just wanted music for background and then use ipad for some dancing. Lani (the owner) really knows how to work the lights and make any room look stunning. So no complaints there. The issue was with the sound system. The system worked through the dinner but at ~9pm, the main music component broke down. This was really upsetting. We didn't get to really dance at our wedding. We were sent $100 'refund' for the broken system but the damage was done... no music at the end of the wedding. read more

I just wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to SPARK Creative Events for making our evening unforgettable!! The team at SPARK Creative is professional knowledgeable and always there to lend a hand to make sure the event looks the best if possibly can. The lighting at our launch was way beyond my expectations! I recommend Lani and his team for any event where you want to "WOW" your guests and work with the most professional crew out there! read more

Lani and his team at SPARK went above and beyond helping us to find and work with incredible sound and lighting equipment for our festival On The Verge. They worked within our budget, gave us great tips and were always on the ball with pickup and drop off. If you are looking for great equipment or a group to make your next event elegant and surreal-this is the place to go. We'd work with SPARK again in a heartbeat. read more

We hired Spark to do the outdoor lighting for our wedding at Zaca Mesa Winery and they did a stellar job! It was exactly how we discussed with them and they were a pleasure to work with their team. Thank you so much for making our day so special xx read more

Worked with Spark for my wedding in Santa Barbara and the lighting was so lovely. I was almost not going to have any lights since I was worried about the budget, but I am so glad we got them! I love lights so it's only natural I had them for my special day. They arrived on time and were set up before the ceremony. When it came time to take the lights down they were super professional and brought out head lamps since the park venue is super dark without any lighting. I was glad they had a good relationship with our DJ and knew just how to set everything up for her to use as well. Thanks for everything! read more

Spark is a great company to work with. They have great creative ideas and solutions and have delivered wonderfully in every event we've worked on together read more

I ordered a few Chandeliers and some Marquee Lights for decor at our wedding at The Granada Theatre from SPARK. When I had any questions, they were super responsive and helpful. What blew my mind was when I walked into the theater and saw how perfectly everything was done! Everything looked just gorgeous. We had discussed hanging the marquee lights, but they ended up pinning them to the back of the theater which looked sooooo much better! Lani and his team are great, and I'd highly recommend working with them :) read more

My husband and I got married at the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center in July 2011. We hired LBPS Events to provide fabric draping for the room and lighting. Their work transformed the room into a beautiful wedding reception and we were very pleased with their services. LBPS was also very professional throughout all our interactions with the company. read more

Spark Creative are fantasic! They delivered beyond what we even knew we needed and made us feel completely taken care of at our wedding. The team was incredible. They were professional, friendly, positive, were available to help problem solve last minute issues at the venue, were the first to arrive and the last to leave. Their lighting design was beautiful and the sound system was perfect. They are top notch and very talented at bringing all of the elements you envision together for a magical event. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Spark Creative did an outstanding job! We recently had our wedding at Elings Park- Godric Grove. Simple string lighting went up quickly and was taken down right on time. We had no issues at all and found Spark very accommodating when needing to add an extra electrical cord for our DJ. Thank you for your professionalism and quick email response! read more

SPARK was probably the vendor I had the least contact with in the months leading up to my wedding, to the point that I didn't even know their company name had changed (from LBPS to SPARK) until our wedding week. Despite that I had everything I wanted on the day of my reception and it was BEAUTIFUL. Our reception took place up at Godric's Grove in Elings Park. The reception site is naturally stunning; however it is not naturally lit for evening events. We wanted to find a company that would make our reception functionally lit, but also beautiful, and all for a reasonable price -pretty tall order. SPARK delivered on all counts. When SPARK provided us with their initial plan for lighting the grove we worked with them to modify the plan until it matched our vision and budgets. They were gracious and cooperative, which we appreciated greatly. We also rented a lounge set from them, which was a huge hit with our guests. My greatest regret is that I don't have more pictures of our deck from the reception. SPARK provided beautiful lanterns that created a magical quality when the sun went down. SPARK even set up when we weren't there since our ceremony was at a different venue. I remember showing up at our wedding reception and thinking - this can't be ours. It was so perfect and we truly did so little to make it happen. Overall they really helped create the most memorable reception venue for us and we could not recommend them more highly. read more

Hands down working with SPARK was the easiest part of wedding planning! Natalie and Cristal were SO responsive over email. In fact, that was our only form of communication, I've actually never met or have spoken with any at SPARK except over email and they executed everything to perfection! They were already familiar with our venue and we wanted string lights, up-lights, and lantern centerpieces. We didn't have a wedding coordinator or planner, but when we walked into that reception, everything was up, done and looked amazing! I can't say enough about how much those lights contributed to the feel and polish of the event. And I can't say enough about how working with SPARKS lessened the stress of wedding planning. Thank you again to SPARKS and their whole team! read more

LBPS provided the lighting for my wedding this last weekend and it was perfect. Through out the night, people kept coming up and saying how modern and elegant the lighting was. It truly transformed the venue. They were so wonderful and easy to work with, I couldn't have asked for any better. Thank you so much!!!! read more

It makes me sad to think that anyone would skimp on lighting for their wedding or big event! LBPS absolutely MADE the ambiance something to remember. Our wedding had a tented reception in a (somewhat ugly) rented white tent because we had 300 people and it was outdoors in mid-December (rain!) ... but LBPS provided the perfect lighting and decor help to make the interior warm and inviting. Very impressed with the absolute art they create with their craft! read more

Outstanding job in every possible way. Great crew, great talents. Loved everything about the company. Lani, the owner, made it all happen so beautifully. Couldn't have been happier. The event was magical. read more

Getting married on a ranch in the middle of nowhere is not easy. There's no electricity, no lights, no nothing. Lani fixed all that and then some. I may have underbudgeted at the beginning of the planning process for lights, but I realized that he knows what he is doing, and boy did he do an amazing job! The venue was literally a fairy tale once the sun went down. String lights everywhere, uplights on the barn, a chiffon entrance swagging the barn doors, chandeliers above the bar - it was truly magical, and I don't think anybody else could have done it for the price he did. He was extremely helpful in helping me cut down on unnecessary costs and helping me get the most effective bang for my buck. I wish I had pictures to post here, but I have to wait for them :) Everyone talked about how amazing the venue looked and I still can't get over it. One friend it said it looked like we were dancing in a JJ Abrams movie - it was just surreal and amazing. I can't say enough great things about LBPS and Lani - thank you so much for giving us our fairy tale wedding! read more
