If it wasn't for my company booking this hotel, I would not be there. No exercise room no elevator no class.

The staff is beyond helpful and knowledgeable. Spark on the other hand is trying to control my likes. They have taken all coffee pots out of the rooms because they want me to socialize ???? They have 24 hour accessible coffee??? I don't come to a socialize, I come to shower, sleep, and have hot coffee in MY room. Not around strangers. Also, they are looking at taking the microwave out as well?? Guess they don't want business or introverts people at their locations. I won't stay here again. read more

The cleanliness. The smell of marijuana in the hallway. The breakfast was horrible. There were cold boiled eggs. No meats for breakfast. We went out on Saturday when we returned saw a slug crawling on the floor of our room. This hotel is not up to Hilton standards!!! read more

The hotel seems to be on the low end of Hilton. I expected more for breakfast based on staying at Hampton Inn, Home 2, and Hilton. Only had Bagels, cereal, and fruit, apple and orange juice. No meats at all. The room was fairly up to date but the floor needed to be mopped. It had stains on the bedroom and bathroom floor. Staff was nice no issues there. Property was well kept with a police office working in the lobby. The bed was comfortable and slept well. So for me, it didn't give the Hilton level of all around excitement, but was affordable and safe. read more

We actually left to stay somewhere else because my wife was getting sick. I'm bringing the key back in the morning because the night front desk lady doesn't like white people. This hotel has good rates and the GM/staff are very attentive to your needs. The maintenance staff are always cleaning and minor paint/repairs to keep the hotel in top shape. I do work in southern Maryland often and will stay here again. There is a small breakfast nook with a continental type breakfast available each morning for free. There are also some vending machines available for late night snacks and they are kept well stocked. There are laundry facilities onsite for a nominal 1.50 for wash or dry. The area surrounding the hotel is loaded with every type of business you can think of as well as a mall within 5 miles either direction. If you have a concern, air it with the GM, I promise you will get a positive response. She cares, she really does, but don't leave quietly and unhappy. She does want to know. I have updated this review to 4 stars thanks to Imani, the manager personally reaching out to apologize for this employee's actions and compensating my wyndam rewards account. She was extremely apologetic, professional, and took complete ownership of the situation. I am active duty military and moving across the country with 2 cats. I made a reservation with this hotel over a month in advance through booking.com. Their website says check in time is from 3 PM to midnight. I called at around 9 PM, about 2 hours out from my ETA to touch base and let them know we were going to be in around 11 and they tell me that they gave my booking up because I didnt arrive at 6 PM. They stated they cant hold rooms for longer than 6 PM. What the heck? I've never heard of this being done anywhere and no where on Booking.com, their website, or their policies did it state that there is a 3 hour window from 3 to 6 PM to check in. This is not how you treat customers, especially those who have done their diligence and made reservations. I will not be giving La Quinta anymore of my business, and I encourage that you don't either. read more

Stayed in the two full bed ADA room with microwave and fridge. It didn't have a grab bar by the toilet. The walk in shower has a small step (about half an inch) to get in and has a shower bench attached to the wall. The room's entrance has fake wood flooding and the rest of the room has retro yellow carpet. The carpet has a square that is being cut from it. Weird wifi setup/sign-in page. After clicking a few pages of these questions, the free wifi works. I've never seen this before. It was full for the second half of the week, probably because it is relatively close to DC. But there was lot of traffic getting to/from DC. read more

The Channel 70 Video Productions crew bedded down here for one night. The good. Affordable, excellent staff, close-in parking, new TV, nice breakfast area, quiet and clean rooms, great shower flow, fluffy towels, perfect HVAC, well stocked vending area with reasonable prices. Not so good. Needs a light renewing as some shabbiness (wallpaper, wood trim, bathtubs, countertops), major fail - free internet access requires submitting to spam-laden login process, 2.1 mbps at 7pm, no HD channels, no meat served at breakfast, artificial/institutional odor in lobby and hallways, phony 'green' claim for not changing sheets - it's, more profit in hotel's pocket. On balance, we'll probably return. read more

Lets say that you lose a star because you really need to remodel. however all the other stars are for your staff, who were over the top in every single way. I really want to rate this place a 2.5 but unfortunately that is not an option. First, lets start with the positives. All of the staff that I've met so far have been super helpful although scarce at times. (Sometimes its hard to locate the front desk personnel). The rooms seem well maintained except for a few oddities I found. Some stains on the bed sheets and a poorly constructed outlet for the microwave and fridge. It seems like it was installed backwards making it impossible to use the microwave and the fridge at the same time. Talk about strange! read more

We really enjoyed our stay here as refugees evacuating from Hurricane Florence. The manager of this establishment is incredible. She understood our situation and was more than accommodating to our needs. I just wish I could say the same about the regular booking staff there. While the hallways are quite cramped and the ceilings very low, the hotel rooms are excellent for the price. We booked two separate rooms for my wife and I along with my mother in law and pets. Each room was very clean and tidy. The rooms contained everything you could want for an extended hotel stay including a 42 inch TV, medium sized desk, refrigerator, and bathroom with various towels and soaps. The main lobby offers a lounge area complete with a TV, computer stations, free coffee and ice water. They also offer free continental breakfast from 6AM - 9AM. The only issue we ran into was when first checking in we were told our stay was only for 2 nights, contrary to what I had previously discussed with the manager about our stay being tentative due to the hurricane which I was told was fine and they were able to accommodate for through the weekend. I tried to explain this to the employee and she seemed unsympathetic to our situation and was very firm in stating that "they were completely booked through the weekend" and we can possible stay an extra day if we are lucky. This added an unbelievable amount of stress to an already stressful situation due to what appeared to be a lack of communication or organization. Luckily, the next day we were able to speak with the manager who ensured us that we could stay as long as needed. Booking issues aside, we had a great stay at La Quinta and the manager was able to greatly reduce the stress of hurricane evacuation for us. read more

This place is disgusting. Roach infested, trashy, dirty, questionable people hanging around. NEVER AGAIN. Management obviously know what's going on because she was very nice about refunding us except for the pet fee which is the only reason we booked this hotel. Our microwave didn't work and when we asked for a maintenance man to come up the front desk girl appeared. Not sure if they have maintenance either.. We came to the area for a football game. This place had real reasonable rates and we'd been happy at La Quinta's before so I booked for two nights. The lobby is fine and service was decent. Work is being done on the second floor which may explain the price. There's a breakfast which includes boiled eggs and the usual light breakfast. The room is decent, certainly not fancy; the bathroom is tight but serviceable. I have a real gripe about the internet. Not that it gets dragged down; I haven't experienced that. But to get on I have to jump through hoops; answer questions so they can present me an ad. This is the first time I've experienced that and I don't like it. It's time consuming and I'd rather pay extra than jump through hoops. Our last morning there the wi-fi was down for some time. I doubt that I'll come back here; not sure I'd stay at La Quinta if I did. read more

Real thought I wasn't going to enjoy my stay here but over all We really have. The hotel basically has catered to the families and friends of the bride & groom and we are glad to see a great staff. Fresh breakfast fresh linen and quite halls throughout the stay. I mean I really wanted a more expensive. Hotel but the outcome was great. Wow. Where do I start? The door separating our rooms in the suite was broken and didn't close. The door to the bathroom was also broken and didn't close. The beds were uncomfortable. The faucet to the jacuzzi tub in the room spun freely as if it was broken. The dimmer light switch was missing it's control knob, some light bulbs were out. The tub and shower were dirty with rust stains and the toilet was also dirty. Oh and can't forget the best part, there was a blunt on the floor of the lobby my children had to step over when we were leaving. I will never be caught dead in a La Quinta for the rest of my life and neither will anyone in my family. read more

The good- Reasonable rates. Clean rooms but dated building. They allow pets. Friendly and helpful staff. The bad Some guy walked into the breakfast area barefoot and half dressed but no one said anything. Another person looked like they were homeless and wandered in through the front door into the breakfast area. The end of the hotel I was in was near the road and there is a traffic light so you can feel the vibration, thumping, and vulgar lyrics of the jungle music from the cars right outside your window. read more

This is one of the most ill kept hotels I have ever been. I travel a lot for my job, and because of an event had to switch it up from my usual hotel and will never make the mistake again. From the staff, to the room, this hotel is a complete disaster. There are many other options in the area and I strongly advise you do not stay here. read more

Decent place, but not for the price. If you're looking for a simple stop on a long trip, acceptable. If you're looking for a hotel that's anyway decent all around, not really the place. The entire hallway smelled like weed and cigarettes, but at least the room didn't. I figured the weed smell wasn't permanent, but from passing by rooms where people had it, but the cigarette smell wasn't avoidable whatsoever. It's a decent hotel if you're not looking for much but to spend a single night in, but I wouldn't recommend 2 or more. Wifi cuts in and out bi-hourly, front desk doesn't seem to have as much respect as they should, breakfast is free but extremely mediocre, rooms have cracked walls and 480p TVs. Beds appeared nice but I can't help but think they weren't clean, based on the smell of the hallway and the hairs found on the floor in the bathroom. Not terrible, but not worth it unless you're really just looking for a quick place to sleep. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews, but I also don't want anyone else stepping into traps I experience. I will do my best to not stay here again unless there are radical improvements. First one being that a NO SMOKING policy be established throughout the entire building. (Sorry if you smoke, but CANCER sucks.) When we checked in the desk person assumed we wanted smoking rooms, although that may be due to booking it through Hotels.com. The front desk people were very nice and friendly. That's the best thing about this place. However... We were directed to go up the steps to get to our room. I have no issue with steps, but when you're carrying luggage, it's annoying. There is no elevator in the building so if you have trouble with steps and still have to stay here, I suggest making sure they have a first floor room for you. As we climbed the steps we were greeted with the scent of marijuana. I think medical marijuana is legal now in Maryland, so maybe someone at the top of the steps had glaucoma. The room... Although it was made VERY clear that we needed a NON SMOKING ROOM... It REEKED of stale cigarette smoke and the room was possibly doubling as a hot house. After a few hours the tired air conditioner got the temperature down to something habitable. The bathroom was, for the most part, clean. I'm not sure if it was a pattern in the shower wall or if there had been a homicide that was about 95% cleaned up, but I wasn't fond of its appearance. The toilet was okay as long as you didn't need to flush it. The TOWELS were actually nice. Nice sized too. I'm 6'7" and they covered me well. The bed wasn't horrible. The sheets .... They could use replacing. In the morning... The breakfast "room".... More like a closet they converted over to stock some cereal. This place is bare bones. If you're on a budget and don't mind the smell of smoke... You'll be fine here. If not... There's a Country Inn RIGHT NEXT DOOR, that is VERY nice. Being in a band... You get the cheapest rooms you can and next time, we will forgo that when staying in this area. Safe travels to you and yours. read more

Using Hotwire's random hotel matching, we stayed 2 nights in the hotel for 63-65ish per night. And it was much better than expected for a 2.5 hotel. Beds were good. Rooms were of the same size as any other. Breakfast was good. Only backside was being told by the concierge that there was no trash bins in the hotel. Don't EVER stay at this hotel. My boyfriend and I were trying to check in at this place and the obstinate woman behind the counter was refusing to honor our reservation because his dad reserved it for us and she was insistent that we had to pay in cash before staying or she wasn't going to hold our room. She was so rude and completely ignorant. It took us two hours to make arrangements with his dad to get it all straightened out. The customer service here is the worst. read more

This hotel does not have an elevator and it has two levels. We were part of a block of rooms for a cat show and were supposed to be on the first floor, but were placed on the second floor. The woman at the desk was "short staffed" and helped us bring the luggage and cats to the room upon arrival at 2am. This was very disconcerting to us, as we had to request aid to lug animals back and forth up and downstairs each day of the cat show, especially since my friend has back and breathing issues. This was not your typical La Quinta, but a hotel that was bought by the company. We will not be going back. read more

Spent 2 nights this past weekend as a lodging location for the Dental Mission of Mercy. A/C was not working on the 2nd floor hallway and was marginal in the room. Rugs were stained and needing replacement. Shower was stained - not sure how the marble finish gets stained. Heavy "dust bunnies" along the baseboards (noted when I accidently dropped my earring by the bedstand). Safe was locked and not able to be used. Will not return. read more
