Upon check-in, the front desk associate--clearly untrained in basic customer service and common decency--asked if I had ever been there before. I said "no," and without skipping a beat, she looked me dead in the eye and asked, "Are you sure?" Excuse me? Was I sure I hadn't stayed at your subpar hotel before? Then, as my wife stood right beside me, she smirked and said, "Funny, someone must have the exact name as you." Unbelievable. If the goal was to start our stay with confusion and a hint of public humiliation, mission accomplished. It gets worse. We requested a first-floor room, which reeked of cigarette smoke. When we asked to be moved due to the unbearable stench, the same associate rolled her eyes and scoffed, "Impossible. This is a smoke-free establishment." Instead of addressing the issue like someone who values their job, she basically accused us of making it up and reassigned us to a second-floor room--what felt like a punishment, not a solution. Guess what? That room's A/C was broken. Because of course it was. At this point, I was expecting a hidden camera to pop out and shout, "You've been pranked!" Thankfully, a different staff member was working when we went back down, and they--imagine this--handled it like a professional and moved us with no drama. Bottom line: If you're into gaslighting, rudeness, and the smell of stale smoke while your spouse watches a front desk clerk question your existence, then by all means--book a room. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

I do…read morenot recommend staying here, there is a reason why they have 2 stars; unfortunately I have to stay here for the next 4 weeks with my company ( as we are working on a project around 45 minutes north of here ). The workers ( I won't even address them as front desk agent & housekeeping manager ) can't even get along in front of guests. They gave me a hard time when I brought to their attention the uncleanliness of my room. There was hair in the sink, on the toilet, the surfaces were dirty & the hand towels appeared to be used. The entire staff had an attitude except for the housekeeper & the custodian. The housekeeper even admitted that she could tell the room hadn't been cleaned. I simply wanted management to acknowledge, address , and properly fix the issue. The solution was simple, yet they were so full of themselves and rude that my concern was not valid to them.
