I'm not sure why Woolworths and Coles staff constantly act as though we're doing them a favour by shopping there.. but they do. IGA staff don't. IGA staff give you a bright smile, ask how your day was (as in, REALLY ask, and wait for an answer, rather than just rattled off some pre-determined sentence as instructed to by their superiors) and generally act like they give a hoot.

They have easy access underground parking with 3hr free parking cause like, whose shopping at Coles longer than that really. They have a surprisingly large and variant range of products, including their own in-house fresh bakery and deli. They cater to halal and kosher if you're down with that also. Considering the space they have to work with, they have an extensive coverage of meat, dairy and frozen foods. I can literally find all my groceries and then some here. This Coles supermarket is located on the ground floor and has only been open a couple of years and it still feels brand new. (oh so shiny) It opens everyday from 6am to midnight and is massive! Parking can sometimes be a tight squeeze as its underground so if you have a big vehicle- be warned. Great option of you don't want to go to Westfields.

Why WOULD you pay more at a supermarket for old stock? You wouldn't, that is madness. At Westfield Parramatta, luckily, Country Grower's is located just a couple of levels down from Woolworths, so it's not too much of a hassle to head there after you've done your generic shopping. I saw it many times. Even myself experienced it today at the counter. She is so rude way look at customer. When I confronted her, she just denied it. Omgosh...how can the company trained their staff to be rude to the consumers.
