This Woolies store is quite small in comparison to others in the city (it only has about half a dozen aisles) but has all of your essential items, plus a small coffee bar. It's in a pretty convenient location, close to the Intercity platforms and long distance bus terminal at Central Station, so it's a good place to head if you're heading on a long train or bus trip and want some snacks. It's also close to the UTS Haymarket campus and Sydney TAFE, as well as Paddys Markets.
Being in Chinatown though I expected them to stock a large range of Asian products, but they don't seem to stock any more than normal. Maybe it's the fact that a largeish Tongli supermarket is located in the same building, in addition to the huge New Yen Yen supermarket about 50 metres away down Thomas Street, and the little Korean grocer about 50 metres up Quay Street, they've just decided not to bother competing.
For your usual Woolworths groceries though, this store is very handy, in addition to being clean, modern and spacious. Prices seem about on par with other Woolies stores too. read more
