Searching for a restaurant for lunch, we walked by The Seafood Bar, which showcases its range of seafood in a glass case. They had everything we could imagine, so we knew this was the place. I found out later that they have other locations across Amsterdam, but this one is nicely situated in a toney neighborhood, and its clean modern interior also recommends it. Their service is orchestrated, as they work as a team, from seating, drinks order, and so on. They are efficient and attentive. I highly recommend the seafood tower, which is a great shareable, giving you a taste of the unique shellfish found in Atlantic waters.

(It was packed and we arrived 20 minutes early for our table) We ordered oysters, lobster, seabass (whole), scallops, green salad, bread, and at the end, french coffee. The highlight of the entire dinner were the razor clams. Absolutely unbelievable and a must order if you ever visit and it's on the menu! The coffee was extremely dark and we didn't finish any of it. But, being American, we probably should've known better and researched before we ordered. The creme brûlée was also very enjoyable! (Side note: all the creme brûlées I had in Europe were pre-made and not hot when they came out. Europe tingz?) European medium rare borders closer to rare than medium, which is fine for me as long as the steak is cooked well. Quite tasty! Service was fine, no complaints from me. Honestly can't believe I've never been to De Nachtwacht before. Definitely need to come back.
