Let me tell you that sauce is absolutely amazing. One of the best smash burgers I've had in a hot minute. Also ordered some chili cheese fries not pictured but my mom said they were delicious. And an ice cold Michelob Ultra, which hit the spot. We came in at the odd hour of just about 3 o'clock, so we were the only people in the restaurant. We were greeted promptly by the server and she got her drinks right away. The vibe seemed like it would be really busy at a normal hour of time. Would like to go back and try some other items :-) overall had a great experience.

My friend was craving a good burger, and Dempsey's did not disappoint. We shared the two burgers we ordered and thoroughly enjoyed both. We also shared a basket of their truffle fries with all of their homemade sauces--and probably 90% of those fries went home with us because we were just too full! Service was friendly and helpful, and I loved the unique atmosphere. The restaurant is in a converted house (as is the entire block), with the bar tucked away in the basement. There's also plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy during nice weather. If you haven't tried Dempsey's yet, definitely add it to your Wichita list!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. We came in with our family, 2 adults and 3 kids, and…read moreunfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. We were immediately greeted by the host and another server arguing over who was going to seat us. Once we were seated and ordered, we waited about 30 minutes for our burgers and fries. When the kids' meals came out, the orders were incorrect, and the basket of fries we received was extremely stale and hard. We let our server know, and she took the fries back. We then waited another 25 minutes for the kids' corrected meals and a new basket of fries. Our server told us that the kids' meals and fries would be comped, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, when the food finally arrived, the fries were once again cold and stale. At that point, we were frustrated and just wanted to leave. Our server brought us the check, and we were shocked to see that everything was still charged. Nothing had been comped as we were told it would be. Mistakes happen, but the combination of poor service, long wait times, incorrect orders, stale food, and then being charged for items we were specifically told would be comped made this a really disappointing experience. We came in as a family hoping to enjoy a meal together and left feeling completely frustrated.

I ordered the #2 Single cheeseburger, my friend had the #5 Double cheeseburger; comes with a side package wrapping of tomato, onion, and lettuce, buns were lightly buttered and toasted. I got the same beer as last time (Buffalo Sweat) and I honestly believe that this is my most favorite beer ever. And the green beans were still voted my husbands favorite food this trip. My brother got the french dip and I got the Uncle Tony. We split the sandwiches and both had a side salad.
