People deserve to know how this company treats customers -- especially customers going through the worst moments of their lives. I was storing my sister's belongings there. She unexpectedly passed away on the evening of March 5, and I've been trying to handle everything while grieving. The last thing I needed was a storage company making things harder. I went into the office IN PERSON to change my billing date from the 26th to the 1st. They told me the prorated charge would be $0.97, which I approved right then and there. Later, they claimed they "didn't have authorization," even though I gave it, and they NEVER told me the billing date wasn't changed. I told the manager, Michael, on March 27 that I was moving out the next day and would have everything out by March 30. He knew exactly what I was dealing with. He knew these were my sister's things. He knew I was trying to close out her affairs. And he STILL didn't tell me the billing date change wasn't processed. Instead, they charged me the full $23.05 instead of the $0.97 I had already approved. So I called corporate, thinking surely someone would fix this obvious mistake. I spoke with Arthur and Alexander, both "escalation supervisors." Not only did they refuse to correct the charge, but Arthur actually said to me: "Sorry, mistakes happen." Yes -- the company admitted THEY made the mistake... ...and then refused to fix it. Who treats grieving customers like this? Who acknowledges an error and then refuses to correct it? What kind of company operates this way?

SecurCare stood out as well-maintained and secure, situated in a quiet area close to the highway. The on-site manager was friendly, and the lot had ample space for moving. Worse storage facility!!! I always pay a month or 2 in advance.They are nice enough but make 2 many…read moreconstant mistakes.Losing checks,mishandling paperwork,etc.Stay away even if they offer you storage for free.And last week,I started removing things and had to discard 2 boxes of clothing because the unit had leaked and some of my things had molded.

I have had this storage for almost 3 years so most times I forget about it and pay 2 or 3 months at a time, however my rent has increased every 2 or 3 months since I've had it. I have asked about this and inquired and only thing Carl recommended was to change the due date. Then here comes the newbies and they say no let's put in for a rent decrease you've been here awhile and boom. I call and mentioned it to Carl because it didn't change on my account and he says it'll be another month from it was done. I was upset because that's not what I was told and Carl just sat there and said nothing and then repeated the effective date. I then went online to pay my balance and I see there's an auction coming up Friday so I go on the site to look and here is what my things that I had professional movers, put in years ago, what it looks like and things are missing because this storage was packed down no room to even move anything. So they have ran through my things and started bidding on them before they are even up for auction. Look at my things, this is a disaster and one of the biggest mistakes I made leaving my things in their care. I have been crying to corporate looking at these photos for hours, this is unacceptable.... I have yet to receive a call back from corporate or the district managers which they have been telling be all week and last week, they comment under my review on their website like they care and I've attached photos and I called the number they listed and nothing happened, Don was unaware of what was even going on and he said he didn't know how to help which is what I've been hearing the past two weeks.

In preparation for our upcoming move, I've been looking around for a place to buy a large quantity of moving boxes. Target, U-Haul, etc. And I have been really surprised how much individual boxes cost. Husband did an internet search and found this place and we realized the cost per box was really great! And they offer all the side bits too, like tape guns, and bubble wrap, and packing paper. I called around 11:30am and explained what I would need and the lady helped me with pricing and options and I placed my order. And around 2:30pm I received a call saying my delivery would arrive shortly. And about a half hour later, it was here! Even in ATL Friday afternoon traffic. And delivery was free!!!!! (I think you do need to order a certain amount for the free part) Everyone I dealt with were as nice as could be. I so highly recommend them. Fingers crossed that the rest of the move goes this smoothly!
