Attended a summer wedding here and my goodness, how gorgeous it is here. Love the outdoor space and the fact that they have plenty of bathrooms. Street parking is available. Space is extremely spacious and can hold down more guests than you can imagine. Perfect location for a private event. read more

I went to a wedding here and this is a beautiful event space. I didn't realize they had outdoor space as well, but it was great. This wedding brought in a food truck and the outdoor space easily fit the truck and the buffet. There was also a separate outdoor space where the chairs were set up and another large mingling space with a couple of bars. The inside was decorated beautifully with the art and that's where the tables for dinner were set up and later the dance floor. The only small negative, which the gallery has no control over, is that it was at times noisy from the vehicles driving by. It's also not a huge space indoors, so may not accommodate a large reception. read more

This is such a great place for a party or any type of event. Using the outside space adds so much room and because it's so open it takes a whole lot of people to make it feel crowded. The SPACE Gallery is a great spot to book your wedding. We have photographed many weddings here, and the staff is always great to work with and helpful in every way. I believe this space is able to hold up to 300 guests. Since the gallery is always full of art, couples can go minimalist on decorations. Highly recommended! read more

I rented the Space Gallerey for my wedding reception. It was inexpensive and with the help of Alexan Events (our planner) it was amazing. It was during the hottest part of the summer so it was a liitle warm that night for lots of dancing. Our DJ also popped the circuit breaker once so watch out for your electrical distribution. The owner was friendly and very laid back and was flexible. They also had inexpensive tables and chairs for rent. One less thing to worry about. Just heard word that they have added AC to their location. That would make a big difference for summer night events. Nice work guys. read more

We used Space for our wedding reception and loved every piece of the experience. The layout was fantastic for us. Dancing in one room, desserts and talking in the other. Upstairs we had the photo booth and karaoke (this must have been an amazing party, you're thinking). It was so great. The venue is such a fun and contemporary Space. Our guests loved it and we hardly had to decorate. To top it off, the staff is fantastic. They are prompt, thorough, laid back and open to just about anything. Having not spent a lot of time cruising galleries on Santa Fe, I was surprised to see this hidden gem amongst the slew of run down mexican restaurants. This place is gorgeous. Why you ask? Here goes: S = Spectacular interior, filled with beautiful artwork and sculptures. P = Perfect space for any event :) A = Amazing staff and owner. Very accommodating, friendly and wonderful. C = Chic wedding venue! What a great little event spot. Cool neighborhood, parking wasn't awful, love the artwork hanging inside (that I am sure changes over). The facility held a good amount of people and great acoustics for music (can;t say that for the guy on the microphone the night I was there with a loud crowd. The facility was cool, modern, and I would love to attend an event there in warmer weather since they had a cool nice sized lit patio outside. Nice loft area that is useful for your event that lets you look down on the activities and for people watching below. Great "space" for a private event and I would definitely consider it. read more

A very cool gallery on Santa Fe! The art was pretty abstract and very very neat. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're checking out the galleries, or just happen to be in the are. I came here for a Sound Off buti yoga with Ashton August. She was an amazing teacher and it was an incredible experience in this gallery. They had two yoga classes going on - one downstairs, one upstairs. The silent disco headphones cancel out all the sound so it felt really intimate. If they have events like this in the future, I highly recommend giving it a shot!! I had an awesome night and really enjoyed the time in the gallery :) read more

I recently visited the space gallery for an award ceremony that was held here. I thought the venue was beautiful and contemporary. It was a bit snug for the number of people attending, but with people RSVPing last minute, you can only do so much to accommodate as the number grow. The art on the walls was lovely, and the space itself really created a great ambiance for the night . The upstairs was set up for a cocktail hour at the beginning and the lower level was arranged for dinner and awards. We probably fit 150+ ppl in the space semi comfortably at large round dinner tables. Knowing this private venue is here and accessible for holding events is awesome. The location couldn't be better, the staff and owner couldn't have been nicer, and it really made for an elegant evening. read more

What a unique place to hold a wedding ceremony and a reception. The place was nicely decorated for the affair, not too much, not to little. Seating for the ceremony was a bit crowded and some people had to stand. The ceremony was held in front of a large piece too, which was very chic for a wedding. After the ceremony the seats were quickly removed and the area was turned into cocktail hour. The transition was flawless, but for a moment I did feel like I was in the way. After cocktail hour we filled the next room for dinner. It was fantastic. There was plenty of room for numerous tables. No one felt crowded. We all ate dinner and the convened back in the opposite room for drinking and dancing. The area was big enough for many people to get their groove, and their drink on. The Space Gallery has contemporary art throughout, which gives off a very modern, chic feel. I would recommend the Space Gallery to those who are looking to put a different twist on a venue for any type of event or occasion. read more

While I'm seriously skeptical about the use of this place as a wedding venue, Space Gallery is as legit as it comes for an art showcase. Not that I'm trying to hate, I just don't really understand how this place is big enough for a wedding or why you'd choose this place to marry. But to each her own. In any case, this is a cool gallery featuring contemporary pieces from artists, some local, some not-so-local. Were it not for this gallery, these works would have to lie on the ground, which would just be awkward. During my visit, there were paintings from an international group, TAYU, and a handful of really sweet mixed-media paintings from the brilliant Conor O'Donnell, but exhibitions are rotated monthly, so there's always fresh art waiting to appease your thirst for contemporary art. read more

This is a wonderful little gallery with an open space. The neighborhood was very hip, home to Black Sky Brewery and Breckenridge Brewery. Parking was relatively easy and free as it is a residential/industrial part of town. The art that is currently featured was beautiful, exhibiting gorgeous winter scenes and motifs. I was there for a Yelp event, so the art wasn't the focus of the evening. I've read in previous reviews that this venue has hosted everything from company cocktail hours to wedding receptions. I really like this "space" the times I have been here for Yelp Events. There is a large first floor that is separate from the entrance. The main room has a nice easy staircase that leads to a raised area that overlooks the main floor. There is door on the main room that opens to a large open patio. The art has been fresh and interesting when I have been. The staff has been professional and friendly. The gallery is well kept and clean. The only drawback I find is I could only find one single mens room the services the whole place. Overall though this place is a good event center. read more

We went here for the first time for the yelp Crafternoon delight event. The event on a whole tended to block some of the art work and so this review is more focused on the space gallery as an event venue. Though the art that I did see was great, and the pictures I saw of the venue with just art looked great. For the event we were there for, the place flowed well, there were drink and food stations all over and it was still very easy to navigate There were three separate areas and one was a loft area. I don't know how great it would be for a wedding venue, but it would be great for a wedding reception venue. read more

I was privileged to be able to attend a yelp party at this wonderful establishment. It was animal themed. Great food and ambiance. Got a great hand massage. Never new i needed one but wow what a difference. Also tried sandwich from Snarfs. Had the turkey sometimes turkey lacks flavor but not this creation of flavors with fresh veggies and little bit of mayo great combination. Definitely want to explore this business. Had the unique experience of trying food from the scratch food truck tried fried green tomatoes. and the most creative grilled cheese had crispy bacon and bonus fried green tomatoes. I have been to several Yelp events, but could also see the space used for many different types of events as weddings, small gatherings, and shows of various types. I like the outside patio as well as the upstairs that overlooks the main floor. It is perfect for any size crowd. I prefer it when the patio can be used as in the summer months. We attended a wedding here a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful warm Friday night and inside the gallery, you knew it! We found the air conditioner spot, it was that or sit outside. It is a beautiful space for a wedding and reception. The art is great for conversation starters. Plenty of room for tables and dancing. Not sure if the bar staff were provided by the gallery or hired separately by the bride and groom but they sure could have used a bar twice the size and 2 more bartenders. read more

I've visited this gallery on a number of occasions, and have always loved it. They have the most interesting exhibits, and the layout is perfectly airy and open. However, the real reason I'm reviewing Space is because I hosted my wedding and reception there over Halloween weekend, and it was phenomenal. The staff was incredibly helpful, the gallery was beautiful, and the acoustics fit our mariachi band perfectly. I was also a little skeptical when we first started planning about how the building would work as a wedding venue, but even with our 120 guests seated at tables, there was still room for a dance floor, bar, and photo booth. I love Space's new (ahem) space so much better than the old location. The old digs were more like a big square warehouse and there wasn't much in the way of natural lighting. The new place is light and airy and includes some great outdoor space as well, which was totally lacking in the previous location. A large garage door opens up to the patio for a seamless indoor-outdoor transition. The lower level is still very open but I think can be easily partitioned off into smaller, more cozy areas. A rotating art collection adorns some walls. The upstairs area is much smaller than downstairs but it's a great place to take in views of the whole scene. I can definitely see the potential in Space for all types of gatherings. If I were planning an event, I would have to consider Space as a venue choice. read more

Mickey was very helpful and easy to contact in the planning stages. This venue lets you bring in your own caterer, alcohol and decorations ( saving you thousands of dollars). Amazing space and great for weddings! I photographed a wedding here NYE and had such an amazing time. The ceremony was inside, they transformed the venue from ceremony to reception in less that 20 minutes; during the appetizer hour upstairs. No one even noticed that the transformation was happening. The venue is spacious, tables were added upstairs so, there were definitely plenty of room for dancing. There's also a basement, a great spot for the wedding party to chill before everyone gets there. Also, amazing art pieces for everyone to see! You must consider this amazing venue for your intimate wedding. Gorgeous! read more

My experience with the space gallery was through the Colorado Coffee expo and festival- so any of my BUZZ about the place may be influenced by my previous intake of caffeine (just a disclaimer). For an expo, I was initially surprised to see how small the venue was (smaller than I expected at least). However, it turned out to fit a lot of people and vendors (I'd say about 20 vendor tables overall). When you walk in, the gallery takes on a very open, loft/garage type feel. The building is tall and open. Adding a deeper feel to the main room were hanging walls/partitions that also hosted art pieces. This was a nice touch to add some flow to an otherwise giant room that could have ended up feeling like a storage unit. So, well done! This gallery is two stories, however the second story is fairly limited in area, simply offering limited seating and some wall space for art. This level does over look much of the first story, making is easy for people to engage with entertainment happening from below. There is a modest, paved outdoor area for additional displays and vendors. This was advantageous in allowing people to migrate according to the cold of the outdoors and the stuffiness of the inside. I was very pleased about how easy it was to find parking! Adjacent to a residential area, it was easy to find some space on the side streets. Granted, I was only here for an expo but would be happy to come back to try out the vibe of a more relaxed event. read more

A month or so back I interviewed gallery spaces along Santa Fe Drive for an event I'm hosting and despite having heard much about how great Space Gallery is for events I was mortified by the negative attitude and poor people skills of the staff. Frankly the space is not well laid out for events. They have no actual facilities for caterers, they don't let you load in from the back door, and the space itself is very run down. If you're looking for a unique, artsy venue for your wedding or event I would seriously encourage you to move farther down Santa Fe where there are much better spaces with friendly staff and facilities for caterers... We ended up with a larger, nicer venue for a lower cost. read more

GREAT PLACE AND OWNERSHIP! My wife and I have been planning our wedding reception at Space a gallery for the last 8 months. We planned to have the event at the new gallery location. Sadly, we found out two weeks before the event that the new venue would not be ready as promised and would have to hold our reception at the original location instead. Being only two weeks away from the event, and 8 months of planning already in place, we felt stuck between a rock and a hard place and figured we had little options due to our contract. Mike, the owner, is what makes Space Gallery an AMAZING venue to have an event. He genuinely cared about our situation and instead of sticking it to us with "contract speak" he bent over backwards to make things right doing much more than we expected! Im a local small business owner myself and it is great to see there are other GREAT owners in Denver with a passion for their craft, and a big heart for their customers! This was my first Yelp party so I had high expectation, believe me they were met and then some! This event was so much fun. I loved the photo booth and the petting zoo. It's not every day you get to pet a zebra and a camel. The food selections was fantastic along with the section of boozy drinks. The space was just the right size even when it started raining and everyone had to come inside. It didn't feel too crowded with the upstairs available as well. I will definitley be back for another event! Great job everyone who helped put it together. read more
