This is chic I and superior place for any get together or shin dig. I especially like the lofted area and the wall of lights.

Three themes that are consistent in all reviews are chic, wonderful ownership and gorgeous wedding vending venue. I'd agree with all 3. The new gallery is a welcome addition to our neighborhood, Michael is a gem and both the space itself-the natural light, loft feel and outdoor space- lend themselves to chicness and a lovely wedding venue. The flow is also much nicer than the old space (Though we loved the other gallery too!). You've got to see it for yourself! read more

This is a beautifully spaced gallery that flows beautifully into two rooms, and then upstairs. Everytime I go, the art selections are unique and different, and "my" kind of art- either engaging photography or mod acrylics that can show influence from earlier art forms, such as Japanese wood blocks. I also went to a reception and the use of space was excellent- not too crowded and to have it split between the upstairs and downstairs made it comfortable for a crowd. read more

We've worked with Space Gallery the past four years, hosting our annual company holiday party there. I can't say enough great things. The space is wonderful but more importantly, they're just really easy to work with. Super on top of everything but also pretty laid back. I came to this venue for a yelp elite event. It's in a residential location so even though it is downtown, there is ample parking. My party found parking right in front of the entrance. There are also some limited parking behind the gallery in the lot. The gallery itself is very chic, very bright, clean, and modern looking. However, I thought it was a bit small for housing a yelp event that was open to the general yelp users. After the elite hour was up, the venue became very crowded and it was difficult to maneuver around. I saw some interesting art on the walls which were mostly copies of photographs. Also the venue lacked bathrooms and trashcans. It was definitely an interesting location to have an event, just a little small. read more

This is an awesome venue for corporate or private events. Love the tall ceilings and AV equipment! They change the art work around and the building is absolutely beautiful! There's a lot of street parking, which is very convenient. Great place! read more

FABULOUS SPACE FOR ART VIEWING OR PRIVATE EVENT. Last fall while visiting Denver on vacation, I visited Space Gallery (SG) at its previous location for the First Friday Art Walk in October. The large collection of contemporary art at SG was stunning; by far and away the best collection I saw that night. In fact, one of my friends bought a piece from an artist we found on the second floor sort of hidden in the back. For me, exploring the building was as much fun as looking at the broad art collection that stretched from room to room. Fast forward to this past Friday night when I had the pleasure of visiting SG again, but this time in it's new location, for the Colorado Symphony Fundraiser "Classically Cannabis" organized by Edible Events Co. Once again I was instantly impressed with SG's venue space and art collection. The high ceilings, clean lines, and simple display methodology conveyed a professionalism that can be lacking on the modern gallery scene. I prefer gallery spaces that are airy and allow visitors to move around the art freely as well as those that do not deploy the traditional salon style hanging. If you're looking to dip your toe in the contemporary art waters, SG is a great place to start. The art work is fresh, fun and accessible, not to mention affordable. The bold colors and energetic tones of the "Natural Surroundings" exhibit provided a very interesting backdrop for the classical music. As a visual arts lover, the live music definitely enhanced my art viewing experience. I found myself lingering in front of the paintings to a look deeper at technique and style more than usual. At the end of the night, my two favorite pieces from the show were decidedly "Skin Deep" by Howard Hersh and "BX14 1B" by Bill Snider. Hersh's assemblage pieces captured my attention with their mix of 2D canvas flatness and the playful exchange of light, shadow, and line work typically associated with sculpture. Snider's work initially drew me in with it's bright orange background and seemingly nonsensical metallic typography. However, the longer I looked at this particular work, numbers with some type of historical meaning in my life started to pop out at me. First peeking around the bottom corner of the frame then sparkling and twinkling from upper quarter of the canvas. "Classically Cannabis" itself was a lovely event that was very well-organized by Jane West and her crew at Edible Events Co. In addition to listening to musicians from the Colorado Symphony play classical tunes and viewing contemporary art, attendees enjoyed food truck catered dinner and dessert outside in the sculpture garden while mingling with community members and specialty cannabis purveyors like Gaia, Leafly, The Farm, and Wellspring. The "Classically Cannabis" concert series opens the door for people to enjoy, explore and experience fine art in a new away. My hope is that other galleries follow SG's lead and host more events like this to draw in new audiences for viewing and appreciating the arts as well as increasing overall gallery attendance. Frankly, I hope my experience Friday night is the wave of the gallery future. PS. Make sure to check out sunset from the NW corner window on the 2nd floor. Such a beautiful view! read more

Mike, Devon, and Keelin at Space Gallery were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding ceremony! They were amazingly accommodating, professional, compassionate, and helpful. The gallery is a dream location for a fun, modern wedding ceremony and the photo-ops are non-stop! Our wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The space is elegant, airy, and the acoustics are awesome! The loft and staircase made my entrance to the ceremony very dramatic and unique. They were able to provide us chairs for the ceremony, wonderful lighting, and most importantly, the elegant ceremony space for the most important day of our lives. Keelin, their amazing intern, was always excited to see us when we stopped by and was absolutely awesome to work with in organizing the event. She is professional and caring and easy to work with. Thank you for helping us Keelin!! Mike and Devon are awesome and great to work with. They are understanding and helpful and very flexible. Space Gallery was the first and only place my husband and I looked at while searching for a reception space for our wedding. We loved the open, contemporary look and feel of the Gallery, not to mention the affordable cost. Michael the owner was also very helpful in providing the information we needed to make our decision. In this economy, every impression that you can make on a potential customer is key. Hence my review: I was a DJ at a private party last night at this gallery. Granted, this 'space' is great, some unique artwork, and great location. However, a staff member should not treat vendors or potential vendors so COLDLY. Megan was EXTREMELY rude to myself, the catering staff, and an additional friend who approached her about having another event at this location. She wouldn't look you in the eye and implied that I needed to exercise more? What does that have to do with an art gallery? Simply for this reason, I will choose not to refer this location or its artwork to anyone. There are PLENTY of other galleries in Denver where you are warmly greeted. read more

Attended a wedding for 125 people and it was packed in like sardines. Heard many people saying this venue was too small and too loud. The ceremony was held outside and right behind the bride and groom is a parking lot. Every pic had cars and trucks behind the wedding couple. The dance floor was so small, it was very difficult for more than 25 people to be out there at one time. The acoustics are TERRIBLE!! So loud even without the music during dinner. Also, when we arrived at 4:55 for a 5:30 wedding, the employees were running around dragging boxes out, trying to set up-looked very unorganized and stressed out. There is a loft type area where the overflow tables for guests are and the stairs are very steep. Difficult to maneuver carrying a purse, your dinner plate and a drink. Do not like this venue at all and hopefully won't have to attend another wedding there!!! read more

A wonderful location for a special event. We held our daughter's wedding here in August and it was perfect in every way. There was an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing inside the gallery. The space is full of light. No need to decorate--the walls are adorned with beautiful art. The venue allows you to bring in your own vendors for the food and drinks. This gave us the freedom to serve a delicious meal and provide an open bar without breaking the bank. The rental fee includes tables and chairs, a bar and an assortment of lounge seating. We rented all of the linens from them as well. There was plenty of parking. The urban setting made a wonderful backdrop for the wedding photos. Mickey and Michael were endlessly kind and easy to work with. There were no surprises. Everything went smoothly on the big day. This is THE wedding venue in Denver. Space Gallery has it all. read more

My husband and I got married at Space Gallery last weekend and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience! The gallery was beautiful and Michael, the owner, was a pleasure to work with from the beginning to the end. He even moved some artwork I wasn't fond of the day of our wedding. Our photos also look amazing with all of the beautiful artwork in the background. All of our guests have commented on what a unique and dynamic venue it was for our wedding. We recently held a charity event for Cocktails For a Cause at the Space Gallery and we're very happy with everything. Mike Burnett, the owner, was on hand to help us set up, he helped us to secure parking, he even loaned us the Space Gallery truck for loading up the charitable items brought that night. The Gallery was beautiful and a wonderful venue for our event; the guests loved the space which lent itself perfectly for networking and cocktails, then a presentation for the charity and then mingling afterwards. We only used the front gallery but anticipate using the entire space during our next event, which we've already booked. Mike and his staff are great to work with -- making sure everything we need is in place, then they let us run our show. It's a boon that they have tables and chairs for us to use included in the rental as well as a sound system and moveable bar. This is a great venue! read more
