If you are just going to get your hair cut, they will do an excellent job. My sister also gets her hair dyed here all the time and leaves perfectly satisfied. Unfortunately, what I would NOT recommend is coming to get a balayage treatment done. I have never dyed my hair in the past and decided to do something different for a change. Having coming from Manhattan, I was intent on trying something different for $200 as opposed to $500. I figured with balayag being a very trendy style right now, the stylist had to have a ton of practice. After all, It is pretty hard to mess up -- especially when I show you a picture before hand. When I came in, I was completely brunette. And when I left I did not have a balayage (where my brown hair would gradually turn into blonde) but on the contrary, I was completely blonde with dark roots. Really not at all like a balayage. In fairness, my hair is extremely long. And thick. The appointment itself took 3 hours. I feel that the error came from both lack of experience and also management of time. We ran 30 minutes over into the next client's appointment (poor thing) and I felt like it was a rushed job. She didn't end up actually styling my hair because she ran out of time. I suppose a little of this is on me because I should have ensured she REALLY LOOKED at the picture. I was like here's the picture. She very quickly relied "oh I totally got it! I can do that" This was several months back and the reason I write about it now is because I now am having to pay almost $500 for a color correcting and CORRECT balayage. Moral of the Story: salon dacota is great. Just not for balayage. If you are wanting to do that, splurge and go somewhere that specializes otherwise you may end up paying more. Hope this is helpful!

Unfortunately, the service was not done properly. Multiple areas were missed, the technique was rough (including re-waxing the same sensitive area), and I left with significant irritation and bumps. I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and I had chosen this spa specifically because I wanted to feel safe and confident in the provider's experience. I reached out afterward and was offered a "touch-up," but with the irritation I experienced, it didn't feel safe to continue. This was not the level of care or professionalism I expected, and I'm really disappointed given the spa's previous reputation.

Complete malpractice from a waxer from a Brazilian by waxer Pricila I had here 2 months ago. I got this wax before my bachelorette and wanted to return before my wedding, but unfortunately this wax has created some of the worst pain and damage to the most tender and vulnerable part of my body, during one of the most important times of my life. Cannot stress enough how horrible and traumatic this experience has been. I have warned so many people about this place since the wax. Was really hoping it would heal by now, and I wouldn't have to write this, but unfortunately it's gotten worse by the day and I now have to seek professional medical treatment. I would love to know how to further report this waxer as she has done irreparable damage to my body when I wanted nothing more than to feel beautiful during my the end of my bridal era. Instead, my "Brazilian" area has ridiculously painful, unhealed wounds (internal and external) from a wax I got 2 months ago.
