I called Spa Removers to inquire about the cost of having my above ground spa removed. Bianca was very professional and explained the pricing. I scheduled an appointment and on the day off, Joe and two other guys came on time. I have a gazebo like structure on top of my spa that I was originally going to be removed, but I changed my mind and wanted to keep it for my kids to play with. They came fully equipped with all the tools necessary to do the job. They emptied the water inside the spa with a big long tube that went from my yard to the street drain. Then they raised the spa with a device and sawed off the part of the gazebo attached to the spa. The gazebo structure was old and one of the sides came apart in the process (through no fault of theirs) but they had screws to fix it. The guys were able to lift the spa on its side and onto a dolly and through my backyard gate. During this time, they laid a big piece of hard plastic that they moved the dolly along. Not sure if it was to protect the ground or to help the dolly move faster, but it worked well. They were careful when moving the spa thru the gate part, which I appreciated very much. Afterwards, they power washed the area where the spa used to be and did a thorough job of it as other reviews have mentioned. The entire process took less than 40 minutes and I'm so glad I hired them. OK when your SPA finally taps out, it is time to call these guys. I seriously wouldn't waste any more time like I did. The communication on the phone and text from Blanca and Lando was EXCELLENT. They even snuck me in earlier when someone else cancelled. They are busy, so plan in advance! I had an old school spa in my back yard. We live in the San Fernando Valley. I had called around several places to check prices on having it removed. The highest was $1500 dollars! I found Lando on Yelp and his price was very reasonable. I am so glad I went with is company. First he is licensed as a contractor in the State of CA. He is knowledgable, professional and an all around good guy. He is professional and kind and freely shares his tips. For example, he pointed out how the best way to word my Craig's List ad for the spa heater. He disconnected the gas line and capped it off. He disconnected the electricity line and showed me where it was in case I needed to use in the future. Our spa had to be cut in two and he had the tools necessary to do the job quickly. He was efficient and knew exactly what to do. He was on time, explained everything and was out in about 1 hour and a half. He had one other man with him. Upon leaving, he went over the grass with a broom and dustpan to remove any smaller parts of the spa that were on the ground. I recently used this contractor to demolish and remove a large (8' x 8') very heavy spa that has been in our backyard for many years. It was too large to remove around the side of the house so they had to saw it into pieces and carry it away. This was very hard work. The spa had not been used in several years and was an eyesore in the backyard. It was filled to the brim with water. Well, within an hour the spa was dismantled, cut up and removed then the concrete slab power washed. Not a sign of the spa is left. It only cost $350 -- a real bargain, I think. It was kinda hard to find these guys on Yelp. But I was determined to give them the 5 stars they deserve. Price-wise they are just as competitive as the "other guys". It came down to two options for us. Ultimately, we went with spa removers because the representative we dealt with gave us a specific quote that wouldn't change once he arrived on site. The "other guys" gave us the same quote but said that it's not set in stone and it can change once he actually arrives to remove it.
