Alex and his crew at Junk & Co are fantastic! My dad's home in Orange County needed to be cleared out completely so it could be listed for him to sell. I had to manage all of this from Oregon. I solicited bids and went with Junk & Co because I had a good discussion with Alex on the phone about the project, and I liked how transparent he was about what he could and could not do. I reserved a particular Saturday for the removal and arrived a day early. Junk & Co showed up on time the next day and worked hard throughout the day. It ended up being more loads than he had anticipated, but that was entirely understandable because he didn't have a chance to view the property for the estimate; it was based on description and some photos. Because there was so much stuff, they weren't able to finish that day before the dump closed. However, they packed another load on the truck for dumping on Monday, and moved the last load of stuff into the garage for easy hauling on Monday. I was completely comfortable leaving the main garage door unlocked for them, and leaving a padlock for them to use when completed. In addition, I also asked for haul away of a collapsed pergola in the back deck. That required demolition/removal, and they weren't able to get to it until later that week because of the heavy rainstorm in California. (That sounds ridiculous, but this rain storm shut the SF airport earlier in the week.) They came back a third day and took care of the fallen pergola. I had to fly home on Sunday, so I wasn't there for the second and third days of the project. But Alex kept me updated constantly about when he was going to come back, what he was doing, and when he was done each of those other days. He included pictures to show they had finished. The service provided was terrific! Keeping in mind that I was having to arrange this from out of town and was only able to be there for a short period, it's a testament to Junk and Co that they made me feel everything was always under control.
