Nice clean Korean spa right on the edge of downtown LA. Area around is little concerning with lots of homeless around but there is a security guard patrolling the parking area which is probably fine. Spa is large with both men's and women's sides. Men's have three hot pools, cold pool and dry and. Steam saunas plus shower and rest area. Common area is large with salt, mineral etc rooms. Good size cafe. You need to provide ID to enter and they no longer provide shorts and tees only a Robe which you can wear into the coed areas. Large downstairs pool area that has a small bar during weekends. Small outdoor patio. Larger paid parking next door behind bulldog.

NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN DO NOT COME HERE Man walked into wet spa while we were NAKED and the staff said it was our fault because they had informed us the showers were closing at 11. It was 11:10, we didn't realize, a woman asked us to leave we got up immediately and start gathering our stuff. We hear a man's voice and look up and see a MALE WORKER walking towards us and we asked him to turn around or leave and he KEPT APPROACHING. We RAN out and got dressed and immediately told the front desk man who said it was our fault for not remembering that they clean the showers. He said this defends the fact that the man walked into the showers? And that he kept approaching?! Shocked by the incident but more shocked by the total lack of awareness or concern for the safety of women by the front desk agent. He refused to refund us and insisted it was our fault. Never EVER COMING BACK IF UR A WOMAN RUN

I really had a relaxing time here at the spa the sauna was hot the ice room is cold and the chairs were comfortable. My only concern was the pool downstairs on level 1 was freezing cold it was almost an ice bath as well as the chairs being having rips in them. But very clean facility.

Spa Palace is Korean spa that has coed pool and jacuzzi, along with your standard saunas. Now I didn't really get to try any of their food as it didn't strike my appetite but this review is more so about their facilities. Parking is $5 Valet when you enter, I decided to park my car there as it's a sketchy neighborhood in LA so it was worth making sure my car was safe. For entry you will pay $35 for adults and $45 for overnight. You get to enjoy all the facilities and the pool closes at 10pm. Everything else is operational 24/7. It's dingy but that didn't bother me as it is LA and nothing can stay pristine for long. But either way I believe it can be a good time and you can be relaxed. A few tips for this place. Bring your own flip flops as they won't provide it. They will only give you a small towel and a large one with a robe that you can wear in the general area. Also a bathing suit for the pool and the coed jacuzzi. The parts that can be worked on are the temperatures in the saunas which feel like it could be warmer in some but they don't have the temperature listed. As far as the pool area they have some annoying music and disco lights which makes no sense as it's far from relaxing when you have to deal with that. The clientele here can be very loud and make it hard to relax as lots of people are unaware of their rowdiness and that's another thing that I wish they had the patrons working there to either enforce or maybe have signs or have the front desk tell everyone that this is an establishment to relax in and to be more accommodating with it. Lastly and this is a tricky one because it happens unfortunately in most saunas like this, but there are lots of sexual activity happening in the men's locker room specifically in the saunas, and the hot tubs. I read a lot of comments here stating that and I know it's hard to enforce as I've seen it in other saunas but it makes it a little hard to enjoy privacy as it's not for everyone. There are spotters that notify when the staff is coming by and I witnessed that. It's not my business but I did let the front desk know about it and they are aware but it's always going to be hard to catch in the act. Besides that, I'm being fair and asides from the few negatives, you can enjoy this place as it has what you are looking for in a Korean spa.

I recently went back to Spa Palace for an overnight stay. The price is now $50 for overnight which allows you to stay and use the spa facilities from 8pm - 11am. I am a bit conflicted. I've always enjoyed the spa and have a great time socializing with other patrons here. The workers do a great job keeping up with the spa facilities, keeping the wet area constantly clean and tidy but pests are out of their scope. While I appreciate having the option to stay overnight, I ended up waking up with bed bug bites which makes the thought of sleeping there again a bit uncomfortable. Those pests are difficult to eradicate, and for a spa that's so expansive in size and also open 24 hours, I can imagine it's not easy. I sure hope management takes the time to do so.

I actually really like this spa. It was a surprise to me but definitely a visit at least once type place. I went with a friend and she and I love going to Korean spas all over LA but this time we wanted to try one that was coed so we found spa Palace on social and decided to go. We had a great time and really enjoyed going into all of the different rooms. They truly had such a unique property everything from a pool to a bar lounge to a food court to a vending machine area, which I highly suggest visiting before going to the food court. I also really liked all of the areas where you could just lie down and take a nap. They had massive couches that you could feel like a princess in, but they also had traditional floor pads like you see in the Kdramas. Really love the authenticity of this place. I did not really love the food that they served. I tried a curry plate and then my friend tried their ramen, again didn't blow our mind and I probably wouldn't eat there ever again, but later we found the vending machines and we were so disappointed that we didn't eat their first. They had cup of noodles, snacks, sodas and just so many more options --so don't just get stuff at the food court definitely go to the vending machine and get some nice bites as well there. I did really like that they had a massage room. The only downside is that it only takes cash so I didn't have any and couldn't try it out but wish I did. So if you want to try the chairs, make sure you bring cash. I also really didn't like that all of the rooms were a little bit small. They did have a variety but once you would go in one and there was already four people there you would feel crowded and not all of the rooms were like that, but most of them were and it felt like you really couldn't have your private conversation or enjoy a peaceful time without someone next to you, talking or listening in on your conversation so if you're trying to have a bestie day, this probably wouldn't be the best place to do that, but if you're just trying to have a girls trip and you all are just having fun together and don't need any time to really relax this is a great place. I wasn't as happy at the end when I ended up getting a fraud charge on my debit card days after our visit. They do ask you to pay in debit card for entry which I didn't know about until arriving. I'm not sure if it was them to blame for the fraud charges but just know that they only take debit card so a risk you can decide to take. I suggest you use cash or just make sure you have an alternative payment. It was a little busy when we got there. We didn't have to wait in line, but otherwise the amenities were great. I did notice that some of the staff would give some of the guest the full rundown on what to know about the different areas versus by the time we got to the counter the gentleman who was helping us didn't give us any overview and it didn't really tell us anything but good thing that we could hear the other groups orientation so we knew where to go, but I do think that was one thing that they could be a little bit more consistent about in terms of what they tell people to expect and where to go and how to just use the facility. I think it's unique compared to many other ones I visited too so them explaining where I can go what to do next. That's really important at these spas. I really loved all of the body scrubs and all the treatments that they had. I think it's a great deal when you get the head massage you get the facial and you get the scrub. All the ladies there are very authentic Ogema's and they know what they're doing. I thought that this facility just had so much to offer I just wish it didn't have some of these downsides otherwise I would go more often.

I had the most relaxing experience at this spa!The atmosphere was calm and the staff were all so friendly! It was exactly what I needed to release all the tension!

The Spa Palace is so spacious and isn't crowded at all. The facility is 7/10 on cleanliness. There are several sauna rooms. Parking is free and at the spa so super convenient. Things I don't like They give robe (very thin white) only so make sue you wear clothes underneath, like PJ or so. Everyone wear slides so bring slides. Restaurant is small and food is only so so.

Proof that it doesn't state you have to have it for a week before redeeming it

Spa Palace Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Spa Palace

Do I need a reservation if I only want a day pass?

Hello no you don't .. you only need a reservation for treatments such as massages, body scrubs or facials but, not for using the saunas or pools.. Have fun!

I would like to take my 15 years old daughter with me it ok you accept minors?

    Yes they do

Is the co Ed pool area open now?

Yes it opened in August 2023

Is the pool co-ed? So you need to wear suits ? Do they provide swim suit?

Bring your own swim suits and yes they're mandatory for co ed areas

Is the pool open 24 hours as well?

    It's open Fri/Sat/Sun 10am-10pm

My friends is "technically" female but identifies as male. Can he go into the mens side with me?

Give them a call but per CA Civil Code § 51(b), "business establishments, non-profits, and government agencies that serve the public cannot stop you from using the restroom or other sex-segregated facility that matches your gender identity, or ask…

    Is parking difficult?

No, there's a parking garage on the first floor, and you'll have to take the elevator to get to the spa.

Can i just use swimming pool only?

You will be able to when it reopens, but you'll pay the regular (full) admission price, so you might as well soak, steam, and sweat too.

Do they offer a package deal? Where you buy 10 tickets in a discounted price?

When will the downstairs coed area Reopen?

I honestly think never. I've asked 3 times never any available date. Something disturbing must have happened

What amenities (saunas, etc.) are for men only? Is this spa a traditional Korean spa requiring patrons to be naked (separate gender areas)?

Yes, there are wet areas for men and women (naked) which have a hot, warm, and cold pool, showers, a steamroom and dry sauna... and also a sleeping room (mats on floors) and a relaxation room with La-Z-Boy recliners. A separate jimjilbang area…

Do you still need covid vaccine to enter?

    No you don't

For men, is the body scrub recommended at this facility ? Is it done by a guy? Is the area semi private?

Hello Scrub is always done by same gender shower area is separate. We do offer coed amenities…

Women allowed in the men's bath? Saw a lady in there with a guy friend the other day. If it's allowed that'd be great. My gf and I would love that. Or did she just sneak in?

Women are not allowed into the men's wet area, just as men are not allowed into the women's side... even if they look like women lol. Try Wi Spa.

    Is the cold room open?

Hi Yes our ice room is open everyday except Tuesday for maintenance.

I see reviews from a few months ago saying the pool is closed. Is this pool now open? And how many pools are mixed gender?

I spoke with management on 10-08-22 and he confirmed the swimming pool, and hot tubs on the pool level, WILL reopen. The side garden renovation in progress will include shade sails, padded furniture, and a new entrance. He added that a roof pavilion…

Is proof of vaccination still required?

    They did not ask me!

Is the swimming pool open yet? (March 22, 2022)

No due to Covid I was told

Is the swimming pool open yet?

The pool level is closed and all water has been drained.

How much would a day at the spa cost me?

    $28 for 10 hrs.

Turned out to be one of our favorite things we've done! I don't have any photos, because it seemed weird to have my phone with me, but the ones online are pretty accurate. The valet and check in process were very smooth and easy. We got into our lockers and put on our very spiffy shorts/t-shirt/slippers combo and checked out the Jijimbang floor where the clay, jade, salt, and cold saunas were. We LOVED the clay sauna best - very relaxing to lay in a bunch of clay balls at a very pleasant heat. It also made for a little comedy trying to crawl our way out. We are 2 middle aged ladies... the comedy was bound to happen. The jade sauna was also great, and little hotter, which we also appreciated. They also have this domed sauna that I swear feels like a portal to hell. It's well over 215 degrees, and made me nervous to stand in. We were there for a minute or two and decided we weren't THAT hard core yet. We realized it was almost time for our treatments, so we showered and got into the hot tub as requested, and then sat and waited for the women to come get us for our treatments. We got the super fancy deluxe package that came with a scrub, oil treatment, hair wash/deep condition, mini facial, massage, and finishing oil. My services were performed by Rose, who, quite frankly, worked miracles in that semi-private room. I gallumped in, a scaly, dehydrated, sad little gila monster and after about 2 hours, emerged from the primordial goo a sleek, and slithery little skink... Rose probably scrubbed a toddler's worth of dead skin off me (yikes! Not the nips!), dousing me frequently with fragrant water that conjured up scenes from "The Ten Commandments." She went kind of light on my vampire feet, which I was fine with. Rose didn't need to be a hero. Flipping on the table was quite the feat, as it's very slippery, but Rose was there to prevent me from torpedoing right off the end. Next came the hair wash, which smelled amazing, and a deep conditioner that was wrapped in a towel to work its magic. We were instructed to shower and hit the dry sauna for 5 minutes, and were summoned back for round 2. Next, we were back on the table, on top of a Mylar blanket. Oil was poured on, and we were wrapped like baked potatoes to marinate while a refreshing mask was applied to our faces. After 10 minutes or so, the mask was removed, and the massage was up. Now, I hate massages, but this was about as pleasant as it could've been. Rose pretended to not be horrified by the way my back sounded like a güiro when she rubbed it, and I pretended not to want to roll off the table out of being extremely ticklish. We got through it, and I was rewarded with another face mask, hair rinsed out, and another oil applied with gold flakes. It smelled, coincidentally, like roses. After our saga, oiled up, and not a flake to be found for miles, we ate at the restaurant, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We checked out the salt sauna (kinda scratchy and hot to sit in), and the clay sauna again (I actually dozed off, which I don't recommend), and the cold sauna, which reminded me of the ol' walk-in at the VIP Pizza I used to work at. At this point, we were a little "hotted out," but vowed to return, and to take advantage of the ability to nap at all kinds of spots around the multiple floors. I will definitely get scrubbed again, and probably another facial and oil wrap. They were GLORIOUS. All in all, the $40 day price is absolutely worth it, if you don't want/need services. The fee is waived if you get a certain level of service, which makes it even MORE worth it for a nice day of saunas, spas, and generally lazing about. That said - if you are in any way precious, priggish, or prudish, this may not be for you. It's a very naked place, and all the services are conducted in a semi-private place. You can hear people's conversations, see (kind of) what's going on with others, and you're slithering around on a table in some pretty interesting ways. Overall, this was GLORIOUS. I absolutley can't wait to go back, and neither can my friend. We are already looking for dates! Worth every penny.

My friend and I came to relax in the women-only area (the basement level), which is supposed to be…read moreexclusively for women. This is a space where women should feel safe and comfortable, including being undressed without concern. However, during our visit, there was a fully naked man walking around freely in this area. This situation was incredibly uncomfortable and made us feel unsafe/uncomfortable. We immediately reported it to the staff, but instead of addressing the issue or even showing understanding, they told us that California law supposedly allows anyone to access any space if they identify that way. They refused to take any action and rather dismissively told us to complain to whoever you want in CA's office. Regardless of legal nuances, a business like this should ensure the comfort and safety of its guests, especially in such sensitive, gender-segregated areas. In this case, that responsibility was completely ignored. We left feeling very upset and uncomfortable. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values personal boundaries and a basic sense of safety. When one of the staff told me that he can be in women's area since he identifies himself as a women, I asked does this mean that I can go to men's area if I identify myself as a men. He told me "no, since you checked in as a women already" so by only a check mark next time I can go to men's section and men by that only check mark can come to women's area. And let me mention he didn't look like transgender. He has all the man's looks, genitalia

I'm really sad as I was hoping to enjoy this place expecting a high-end spa/massage experience…read more(especially at this price point). Unfortunately this was a complete miss. There really aren't any spa amenities and the locker room is a bit grungy. Once you get to the co-ed communal area, it has some tea and water where you wait for your masseur or masseuse. It was a little too warm and unfortunately my masseuse was late (still setting up the room). Once in the room, the masseuse didn't communicate, not even asking if there was anywhere I wanted to focus on or if I was comfortable. This led to the massage being not great. I had to keep asking for more pressure and the most pressure provided was actually on my feet rather than anywhere else. I also hated that she went from my feet then straight to massaging my face and head! It was more of an uncomfortable experience rather than enjoyable. This was also a VERY expensive experience so it's quite unfortunate that this was what it amounted to. I won't be back.

I had a gift card to this place, and in my opinion nothing about it says "spa." The showers took…read moreseveral minutes to heat up, and there were no real spa amenities. The overall design and aesthetic felt outdated -- the carpets looked old, and even the sheets for my massage seemed worn. The massage itself was okay, but overall I would not recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing spa experience.

10/9/21 Massage…read more10/10. Ambience 10/10. Overall customer experience 20/10. This place is AMAZING!!! I've already recommended them to 3 people and my wife's friends are already talking about going again. I booked a couple's massage for my wife and I but I couldn't make it. So her best friend and with her. I came here the day before to give them a bottle of Champagne my wife wanted to try and they stayed in contact with the entire to make sure I wasn't worried and to make sure my wife's day was special. Crazy thing was my wife didn't realize where she was going (her friend helped me with that) but ended up being a 3rd person that came with them because they were going to dinner after that. They accommodated everyone and everyone felt special.

ALL THE ONE STAR REVIEWS ARE VERY ACCURATE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY HERE!…read more The one thing that all the one star reviews have in common is that the therapist do not show up at the time or at all. This happened to me where I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes trying to get a hold of front desk (which they don't have). The staff at the hotel let me know that this happens often and there wasn't anything they could do. I gave up waiting and went back home. 3 hours past my originally appointment, they texted to reschedule. I rescheduled deep tissue massage the same day and confirmed with them the time. I go there for the second time and to your guess no one is there AGAIN. James was my massage therapist and I started to raise concerns of James qualification as a licensed massage therapist. I've had many massages and the way he undraped me was very inappropriate. It already made me feel uncomfortable. Not to mentioned, he left a bruise on my back the following day! My friends are massage therapist and they said the muscle he was working which is where the bruise is located- is a tender spot. You are NOT suppose apply a lot of pressure in that area. I also asked him to perform a different method because all of his moves were just the same repeated simple movements and he proceed to the same simple movements any average joe could have done. In another instance, he used all his body weight towards my body that was way too close to my bottom rib. I honestly think I was going to go home with broken ribs..I was really confused what kind of massage I was getting.. This isn't the WWE?! I didn't find the massage to have any technicality to it just the same o' movements. I was in touch with Eva, who seems to be the owner of Faris, and told her my experience at her spa. I mean the lack. of. customer. service. wow. She tried to argue that the bruise is not from the massage. Nothing was resolved in our conversation. I would NEVER recommend a spa like Frais.. not even to my enemies.. Save your time and money, folks. There are a lot more spas in DTLA and Ktown worth your while.

Absolute game changer for post-op recovery!…read more I visited Lymphatic Flow just 5 days post-op, and I cannot recommend them enough. I had the pleasure of working with both Rejane and Letty, and they are hands-down the best. Having experienced several different LDM therapists after them, I can confidently say that these two are my absolute favorites. From the start, the experience was seamless. They both greeted me warmly outside the salon and led me to their room (suite #7) which is incredibly whimsical, clean and relaxing; exactly the kind of environment you want to be in when you're healing. Their professionalism, knowledge, experience and certifications really shine through. Easy to talk to and personable too. I loved how collaborative they were; Rejane took notes in my chart so that when I saw Letty my next appt, she knew my exact surgical history and what areas needed focus. I was feeling anxious about my post-op swelling and lumps, but they completely reassured me, while also validating that my doctor had done a great job. They were so incredibly gentle and careful with me, even offering to help me take off and put back on my faja, which was not easy for me. I've had 5 total LDM therapists, and they were the only ones to offer the help so far. The results speak for themselves: I walked in wearing my faja on the loosest hook and left with it on the tightest hook. My swelling went down significantly, and this visit felt like the ultimate turning point in my recovery. My mobility improved immediately afterward. Since they work with a lot of post op clients, they even recommended me to size down on my faja, which I also appreciated. On top of the top-tier care, the logistics were flawless. Communication was great, and I appreciated the reminder texts the day before and the day of my appointment. The location is easy to find, parking is a breeze, and you can grab your parking validation stickers right from the vending machine inside the salon. I'm not local, but I bought the package, and was able to transfer it to my MIL for LDM to help with her lipedema. If you are looking for legitimate, skilled, and deeply caring post-op lymphatic specialists, Rejane and Letty at Lymphatic Flow is strongly recommended.

Rejane stands out because of her expert deep knowledge of post healing for lipo 360 and tummy tucks. She helped me achieve great results. That makes sense. Folks, please focus on the reviews written starting in 2023, that is what truly counts. I didn't have time to hop in an Uber and go anywhere so we opted for a place inside our hotel. The massage itself was phenomenal - very relaxing, just the right amount of pressure and reasonably priced for being DTLA. We were also able to book appointments same day. When we initially walked in, the woman at the front desk was watching a soap opera, set to a very loud volume, on her phone. This did not set the right mood from the start. From there we were brought into a changing area with a sauna, lockers, shower, bathroom etc. We were able to change behind a curtain, but...the floor was dirty...my friend stepped on an old sucker stick. Eeek. After our massages were complete we enjoyed some quiet time in a room with wonderful tea, an assortment of Asian snacks and chocolates - the woman who explained all the options to us was so kind and thoughtful and we appreciated her guidance. If you are staying at the Westin, and looking for some relaxation, this is certainly an option, but the experience overall was a bit of a roller coaster.
