However, when we arrived, we were told that the massage had not been booked and that there was no record in the system that such a reservation had ever been made. The only reservation that existed was for the thermal baths. We had specifically requested both the massage and the thermal baths, so we decided not to stay for the thermal baths alone. Complaint Regarding Incorrect Reservation and Unjust Cancellation Fee We would like to thank Ms. Flodie for explaining to us that this situation was my husband's fault because he did not check his email while skiing. According to her, he should have done so, despite being told over the phone that the reservation had been successfully made. As Ms. Flodie informed us, we are apparently responsible for this entire situation and are required to pay a 50% cancellation fee for the thermal baths, which we did not intend to use on their own. Be careful when you are making a reservation over the phone.

Even she didn't offer any kind of selection ( for relaxation, example rosemary , orange or any other kind of oil ) . didn't enjoy the message because the smells of heated oil made room very unpleasant, I brought to the attention of the staff. The outside thermales were so hot or icy cold. ( nothing in middle to seat in the thermal & enjoy it ) The location was very nice and accessible. The outside was very clean, quiet & the view was great and we enjoyed it. The steam bath & dry sauna was very clean & so relaxing The staff were really friendly with us. As a result my nails beds were left raw and bleeding. When asked she then decided to use acetone as well (instead of before hand) which meant acetone in open "wounds". Ouch. There was no soak, no cuticle cream, rough handling and certainly nothing to suggest she was actually trained as a manicurist. I left after the polish was off, when she began fumbling with more scraping tools. Worst manicure I have ever had; my hands still hurt and sting. Would not recommend. V. Grant Update: after an email exchange with the spa they came to a favourable resolution. Still dismayed at the terrible manicurist being hired by such an establishment but the response to my complaint and situation was positive which is great.

All my visits were 5-star, now you may find a spa with newer tubs, larger saunas, fancy entrances but this place has charm and to me charm, cleanliness, attentive staff is what it is all about. Take a book and relax in one of the quiet areas, of course after you've been in the hottubs, steam room, and sauna. Even take a nap on a hammock, in season of course. They also offer overnight stays which I would consider, but I'm so close it seems a bit much.
