I felt very relaxed heading out to my car and should really partake in massages more often. She had a few good pressure points beneath the skull that really alleviated some tension and the time she spent on my calf muscles really helped with the leg tension I have been having from working 8 plus hours sitting at a desk. The reason for the two star deduction - I bought a groupon for the sixty minute massage and at checkout also purchased a gift of one, two massages at $110.00 or so total, not bad. When I went to the receptionist after the massage and wanted to set up my second massage they said the gift can not be used for yourself. It honestly felt like they were rushing me out the door and weren't even interested in securing repeat business. The receptionist went on to say it reads limit one per customer.....hey I am not going to argue my way into a massage that I already paid for not worth the stress espescially after a massage but right on the fine print it reads, "Can only be redeemed by yourself. Well, which is it... a gift to be used for someone else or to be redeemed/used by youself? The place missed out on $55.00 either way as I already received my partial credit back from groupon and will not be returning. If you come here I am sure you may have a nice massage but why bother giving them your business when the owner was right behind the receptionist and didn't say two words during this entire transaction. (If you ask me they are trying to draw in new business with the gift purchases but I am pretty sure I am not the first person they rubbed the wrong way in hindsight pun intended) Do yourself a favor and go to any other massage location. My latest calamity was I thought I tore my rotator cuff. It ends up that all the muscles around that area seized up after I had fallen. He worked on my shoulder and arm and helped me regain my range of motion. Working on regaining my strength now. His expertise with how your body works together and how muscles you didn't even know you had affect everything else is fascinating. I can't wait for my next appointment!

I made two visits to the Salt Cave in the last couple of years with my most recent being a week or…read moretwo ago and had good experiences. I scheduled both over the phone with their friendly staff. I found parking on the main street, but you can find parking easy behind their building in a municipal lot. The front waiting room/retail area was clean, bright and welcoming. My first trip was a reflexology session in the main cave for a foot massage. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical of the cave thinking it was gimmicky, but it was very relaxing and the therapist did a great job on loosening me up and hitting all my pressure points! I didn't have much drainage in my sinuses like I was hoping, but everyone's different. It would be nice to bring along the wife to have a session in the cave together. On my most recent visit I had a salt stone massage with CDB oil in a regular massage room, but they have a salt stone inside. They add CDB oil for muscle relief and hot stones on the legs. I would have liked more pressure, but I still felt great afterwards. I can't say whether the CDB oil did much for me, but that was the first time I had ever had hot stones applied during a massage and I want more! Afterwards I felt loose, refreshed and very relaxed. I wish I had more time to frequent them more often, but I would definitely repeat. Thanks to everyone over at Salt Cave Newtown!
