This is my second visit to this office and I noticed a difference when I entered the office. Anne greeted me with such friendliness and sweet smile!! She exudes a warm welcome. Then after I was seated on the dental chair, Dr T came to introduced himself to me and cleans my teeth. He was super sweet as well. Turns out he just bought the practice from Dr Susan Lee. Although I dread dental visit, Dr T did an awesome job in cleaning my teeth. He added that he cleaned deep and remove all the plaque in case I reject the deep cleaning proposal. After the cleaning, Dr T has an assistant Jasmine to finish the cleaning with the buffing. Jasmine was all covered up with mask so I couldn't tell if she smiled but her overall demeanor was friendly and came across on the shy and timid side. Before I came for my today's appointment, I was thinking this will be my last visit. I want to go back to my previous dentist in Cupertino. However, after my encounter with Dr T and receptionist Anne, Ive decided to return to support Dr T and his friendly team. Check them out yourself and I think you will be pleasantly surprised!!! I've been here a couple times and have seen multiple dentists here and it has always been an okay experience. However my last experience was not great. It was my first time at the dentist since the pandemic and I will admit my teeth were not in great health. The dentist recommended a root canal and multiple crowns. The dentist also was condescending and talked down to me about why I waited so long to go to the dentist and asked me if protecting myself from covid was worth it... I lived with my immunocompromised parents at the time and I did not need to be judged for keeping them safe. Also, it was what it was at that point, the teeth is already ruined I didn't need more salt on the wound. The Root Canal and multiple crowns sounded like a lot of invasive work considering I was only in my 20s. I went to get a second opinion. The new dentist I went to agreed that I needed a lot of work but said it didn't have to be a root canal and multiple crowns. She spent the time to carve around my cavities and save my tooth and nerves. Overall, the diagnosis that my teeth suck was correct, but the procedures that they suggested were invasive and were easily fixed by another dentist without having to kill all my teeth. I recommend getting a second opinion if a lot of work is suggested. ALSO the teeth cleaning was not great. When I went to the second dentist a week later for a second opinion she asked me why it looked like I didn't get a teeth cleaning when I literally got one the week before from Spa Dentistry. read more

Dr. Lee and her staff are great! I love how Dr. Lee is so personable, remembers details and keeps it real. Not only is she an awesome person, she's a great dentist too! I've been long overdue to replace my front veneer. It had a small hole on the back from the previous dentist and you could still see the black from my root canal. She recommended a crown which I was hesitant to at first but I'm glad I trusted her! We switched it out today and wow, it looks better and looks like my actual tooth! Very disappointed with Susan Lee, the owner. I have been a long time client at this office. I needed some dental work done. I tried to work with Susan Lee on a payment plan. Work has been slow for the past couple of months. I didn't have the large down payment that she required. I told her what I could afford at the time, but she refused to work with me. I have always paid them what I owed. I did not have any outstanding debts with them. My record with this office, I felt Susan could have worked with me. I have always paid my debts!! This business all about the money!! I am a veteran, I don't like the fact that this office does not offer Military discounts. If it was not for me and my fellow soldiers, she would not have this business! I felt like asking her, how would she feel if there was a riot here in San Jose and the soldiers refuse to protect her business because she refuse to give Military discounts to soldiers. 5 stars for the receptionist who were very nice and professional. 1 start for the assistant who took my mother x-ray which she said was so painful and uncomfortable to the point she was gaging yet the assistant asked if she was sick lol. My mom was not sick the gaging was a result of the x-ray sticking the stuff under her tongue. 1 start for trying to charge extra for general procedure that the insurance covers at 100 percent such as deep cleaning stating that their procedure has special steps which the insurance won't cover but will not perform the general deep cleaning that the insurance covers unless the patient agrees to the additional charges. read more

Very disappointed with the professionalism of this office. I went in for a tooth pain that was intense and I thought I narrowed it down to the right tooth, but it was an entire area. After x-rays and assessment, the male dentist couldn't find anything wrong. After a few weeks the pain lowered and I was able to ID an exact tooth and made an appointment for them to look again. They again took x-rays (even though I said they were just taken 3 weeks ago). The female dentist (Dr Lee) felt it best to provide a referral for a root canal. All good until til they billed my insurance for both visits as separate and not a follow-up. Now I am out more than $200 because they wanted to get the new X-rays and visit covered by insurance - even though the first dentist should have been more thorough. That will be my last visit to this office. read more

The front desk receptionist, are very friendly and approachable. They are on top of appointments and provide courtesy call a day prior to appointments to remind you of when your appointment is. After my visit I scurried home to write a positive review, expecting tons of reviews already raving about how great it is here but to my surprise Spa Dentistry is highly under-rated! How do more people not know this place yet? The relaxing spa environment was a shocker to my psyche because normally I am deathly afraid of going to the dentist. After I finally settled in from the warm and relaxing space I accepted that I had nothing to be anxious about. The office radiates a very safe and zen environment makes Spa Dentistry stand out compared to any other dentists I have ever been to. The lovely staff at the front desk are so welcoming and friendly! Their genuine and compassionate demeanor and customer service are top notch. They also sent out convenient text reminders for my appointments. The dental assistants were also very sweet and thorough through out my exams. Dr. Eleanor was phenomenal! During my cleaning, she took her time and care with each tooth. Usually with other dentists I'm in and out. Not here. Not only did Dr. Eleanor diligently clean my teeth, she took her time to carefully explain everything from the tools being used to the procedures and examinations. Instead of just telling me what I needed to do, she educated me and explained to me why and the reasonings behind why I needed to care for my teeth which was far more effective with me wanting to actually improve my dental care. Dr. Eleanor made a huge impact in the way I care about my teeth now. She was the first doctor that brought to my awareness the root cause of my dental issues which shows that she truly truly cares! During my filling, I ACTUALLY FELT SO RELAXED. Dr. Eleanor was so calm and caring which made it so easy to trust her during such a scary procedure. She was sooo gentle and mindful of my comfort or pain. At the end of my filling I was so relaxed that I was actually disappointed that the procedure was over lol. I feel like finding a good dentist is so daunting, especially when you get a new job and new coverage. Finding Spa Dentistry. I was so frazzled since my company didnt have much information for me about my insurance so I was unsure if they would cover my visit. Soquel was the first point of contact upon arrival and she quickly sorted the insurance stuff for me and was able to give me the numbers i needed to ensure i was able to get teeth emergency taken care of. The practice itself was so comfortable to be in, I was unsure if I was actually at a spa or not. When i wa finally seen by Dr. Lee, she was so sweet and kind. I broke my front tooth, and she was able to help evaluate the need of my dental health and get my temp crown in place so I wasn't walking around town like a crazy woman. She prioritizes your comfort by consistently asking if I was okay, and walking me through each step she took. I loved that they offer you to watch netfix while getting work done so you don't drown in the sounds of drills. I felt anxious and overwhelmed knowing that I would probably need a lot of work done, and I felt embarrassed that I let it get so bad. From my first appointment, as soon as I came in everyone was so supportive and helpful. The entire staff has provided great customer service. The office is a relaxing environment, and everything is very clean. Shannon at the front desk is alway really friendly and welcoming and explained all the insurance/coverage aspects and helped me schedule my appointments so that I could minimize out of pocket expenses. They were very flexible and accommodating with my crazy schedule. Addie is always very thoughtful to make sure I'm comfortable throughout my appointment, offering water or a pillow or putting Netflix on for me. She is always proactive about communicating what she's doing and checks in to ensure I'm not in pain or discomfort. Dr Lee is clearly very detail oriented and knowledgeable and and skilled in her profession. She's done a lot of great work on my teeth. She's also very customer service oriented. She has a calming energy and goes out of her way to minimize the discomfort of more challenging procedures. Also I really appreciate that she never once has made me feel bad for going so long avoiding the dentist or shamed me for not taking better care of my teeth all these years. Dr. Lee spent some time learning about me and what my dental goals were. The digital X-rays we started with were completed very quickly, and the doctor reviewed them with me on a monitor. She also showed me a notebook of various options for the work I was interested in having performed. Dr. Lee and her assistant are highly proficient and work well as a team. I came in for a checkup, but was able to take care of two fillings and a cleaning in less time than expected. Prior to the treatment, I was presented with a very clear dental plan that showed precisely what both insurance plans would pay and what if any out-of-pocket expense might be required. No dentist has ever been so clear about the alternatives and pricing options, and I left with a copy of the plan and a smile on my face. While Susan, the dentist, looks quite young for having been practicing dentistry for several years, she was extremely nimble, confident, and efficient - frequently checking in with me on my comfort. Thinking of comfort, her assistant offers you a massage pillow for your lower back while you're in the chair and a video to watch during your treatment. Getting back to the two sisters, probably 8 and 6: I had to laugh when I heard the older one tell the younger to sit still or she would have the doctor remove all her teeth. Hi Soquel, I am responding to your rebuttal regarding your property manager. I have no idea what you are referring to when you mentioned discrimination. I never parked because I was merely dropping off and he was at your entry and quite intimidating. I actually do have a handicap placard which if I had chosen to park I could have used for parking in handicap. However, I was just dropping my daughter at what I had thought would be a safe place, there was no one else anywhere as evidenced by your review of the recording. I was not trying to park or walk. This would mean that even Ubers would have to find a park which is very strange and still be harassed. Also, you should know,the dentist, Dr. Lee and the rest of the staff in the office that day, agreed that they have been continually harassed and were aware of this situation yet nothing was done. Thank you for taking us off of your clientele list. Obviously you and Dr. Lee and the rest of your staff do not have any consideration towards patient safety as Dr. Lee told my daughter she has to deal with him everyday. Also, Dr. Lee told us he was part of the property management, but he told the officer and myself as well as my daughter and the receptionist, that he is the owner of the building. The officer even suggested that for safety as Dr Lee was not addressing this problem, we should not return. As a previous business owner myself this situation is something that I would have remedied as soon as it occurred instead of allowing my patients to have to deal with this. This shows the attitude of your business and the lack of care towards your clients. I was referred by my Mom to go see Dr. Lee at Spa Dental. As far as Dentistry goes I am particularly pessimistic. When I walked into the dental office it was so peaceful. The surroundings in addition to the positive tranquility of the music playing made me mentally calm. I was in luxury with a peace of mind. The generous assistant asked if I would like to watch Netflix. I whispered "Absolutely". With the comfortable headphone's I was so relaxed. My first visit was completed on a Friday morning. Later on, that night got a call from a number I did not recognize. Went ahead and answered it. Low and behold, it was Dr. Lee. That blew my mind. She personally inquired if I had any pain and asked several questions regarding the visit and so forth. That is not the standard RULE from my experience with Dental work. Actions say more than words, and the fact that my family and I have been going to Dr. Lee since she opened her San Jose office (7+ years) says it all. At Spa Dentistry you get the full package of a skilled dentist, great staff, and a clean office - the things that matter most to us. This is a review of my visit to Spa Dentistry. I went in to get some cosmetic fillings done since I was having some pain in certain teeth. Booking an appointment was a breeze with Christi, the receptionist. She was very nice and professional. Dr. Susan Lee was also very nice in the beginning. As soon as the work started, things took a turn for worse. An early warning sign was that she kept bumping my teeth with the tools every time. It seemed like she was not that careful. After that, the procedure did not go very well. She did work on multiple teeth and on every tooth, almost without fail, there was pain afterward. The pain came from different areas of the affected teeth. The fillings she applied were not very effective in reducing the existing pain and the pain from the new areas of the teeth is excruciating. Overall, I left with more pain than what I came in with. When I asked her to fix my teeth, she got very defensive and stated that she was not going to fix it because she did not cause it. She said that the extra pain that I was feeling right after the procedure was just a coincidence. She also suggested that to cure me of the new pain, I was going to need dental work bordering on surgery. And finally, she recommended going to a different dentist to get root canals on the teeth in question for the pain that she caused. I was appalled that she would recommend such drastic measures to cover up her mistakes. It was very unethical. I feel cheated out of my copay and insurance coverage. I can't get my teeth fixed somewhere else because insurance will only pay for one filling per year per tooth. I will have to wait a year to go somewhere else and get this resolved. Maybe all the positive reviews were from people getting routine cleanings, which are easy to do. Dr. Lee may do cleanings just fine but I would not trust her with anything beyond that. Going into this, I was afraid that I would have more pain afterwards or that there would be complications. The pain I get every day reminds me of the work that Dr. Lee did. She is the best dentist ever. I was always anxious about going to the dentist since I was a child and Dr. Lee makes you feel so much more at ease. My four year old daughter will not go anywhere but here. We live in Fremont and drive to SJ to see Dr. Lee. All the extras she does for her patient will far exceed your expectations. FIlls are always so painless as she does that gum shaking thing when she injects you so you don't feel a thing not to mention how smooth the fills are when you rub your tongue with it afterwards. Had the best first experience with Dr. Lee. This place feels like a spa right when you walk in. Everyone is very inviting and want you to feel comfortable. Dr. Lee explains everything along the way so you understand what she's doing and why she's doing it. Had the luxury of watching a show on Netflix AND got to wipe my face with a warm towel!?!? all my life i have been terrified of dentists...the drilling noises...the creep old man in the white lap coat.... dr. lee is not only super welcoming & friendly, she's gentle & endearing which is so unexpected from your dentist. watching movies while going to the dentist is my mini vacation from my crazy little kids. definitely recommended...i do feel slightly more relaxed coming from the dentist now. read more

Dr. Lee is the first dentist where I'm actually looking forward to my appointments! The office lives up to it's name with it's spa office like setting which sets you in a relaxing mood. You even receive a hot facial towel after your procedures. The staff is warm and inviting and quick to return phone calls or answer questions. Dr. Lee is a true consummate professional through and through. She worked through my initial nervousness and made me feel at ease. She actually managed to give me a pain free numbing injection! After experiencing several awful to mediocre dentists in the past that made me reluctant to ever visit the dentist again, I'm so relieved to have found her. read more

Spa Dentistry has a very relaxing and calm atmosphere. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful, with billing and the break down of everything. I am terrified of Dentists, but susan is awesome. I still get anxiety , but susan is so sweet and gentle I just watch a movie and its over. My kids and I have been going here for over 8 years. For being a sissy of Dentists, I can say Susan is the best. Plus there chapstick they give you is good. read more
