Had some awesome service here back in 2024. I've only had around ~6 different dentists as I used the same one growing up, and only had to be jumping around when going on my own plan. With that said, this place has a lot of great upsides: - Appointments are easy to get, they are not usually booked out too far out. I commonly was able to get same day or same-week appointments. - Appointments are respected. They do not double book or have any big delays. I only ended up being at their office less than an hour for all the new patient x-rays + initial cleaning. This is something only half of the 6 dentists I've been to have been able to do. - Workers are efficient and fast and clearly know what they are doing (x-rays don't take forever and don't need a million of them) - Dentist was a pro, didn't feel any pain/discomfort the entire time which is top 2 for me. Unfortunately my new insurance does not work with them, but would highly recommend them if you are in network. Only qualm I have is that it seems that they seem to have swapped dentists a few times in the past year. read more

Dr. Ky is so detailed with explaining everything and provides excellent customer service. He replaced my crown and it looks perfect with no silver lining showing or anything, you can't even tell anything is different when looking at that tooth! My family and I have been coming here for years and we love the professional expertise along with hospitality they provide here! Ana, at the front desk, is always so warm and friendly and will never not greet you with a smile. She's very on-time with appointment reminders and will try to fit you into the earliest slot available. The dentists here are great too. I used to get my checkups done by Dr. Shaaw, but recently Dr. Kee has been doing my checkups. Dr. Kee is both very personable and skilled at his work. He's able to give numbing shots prior to a filling without causing any pain! Also, one thing I like is that they don't make you feel bad for things you should improve on for your oral hygiene, so you don't feel super awkward. Another thing that has surprised me is that this office has barely changed in years. They have kept up their high quality of work and consistently maintained a clean and beautiful interior. There is also a kids' waiting room that is well-stocked with games, which I totally remembering going to when I was a kid. I've been to a couple other dentists before, but honestly none of them can really compare. The assistants and dentists at iCare clean your teeth with speed while getting to every spot-- you are out and about in less than half an hour for each cleaning. They never disappoint. My family has been coming to iCare Dental for years for our twice-a-year dental checkups/cleanings. They make you feel so welcome and are so patient answering your questions. At the front desk, Ana is extremely kind and always is very accommodating for scheduling new appointments. When I was in college and only back home in San Jose for a few weeks a year, she always squeezed in an appointment for me and was very timely with notifying me the availabilities. It's also so fun to talk with her while waiting for your appointments. However, the wait to be seen is never long at all. I will often arrive early to the dental office and be seen early as well. I have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes after the scheduled time, which is awesome. In terms of the actual dental care, it is also amazing. Dr. Shaaw used to be my dentist, but now I am often seen by Dr. Kee, who is just as cool. Dr. Kee is extremely outgoing and caring, and very good at doing the cleanings. He has never caused any pain during the procedures and gives very good advice for brushing and flossing. Additionally, when he sees anything you need to work on in terms of dental care, he explains it in a way that does not make you feel bad and teaches you how to improve. These cleanings are also very timely and quick. My cleanings take about a half hour and despite being very fast, I can see and feel that they got to every spot. Additionally, the dental clinic and outside waiting area is very clean and aesthetic. It is extremely well maintained and children can even play in a small kids waiting room/game-room with toys while their parents are in appointments. Me and my family have been to this place for years. Dr. Shawn and Dr.Bi were good. Since COVID, the owner changed. New owner or the new doctor Dr. Ky Nguyen is very good. He is very patient and kind. Most of the time we just need routine cleaning and he does excellent jobs. We moved out of the area recently and I have to find another place close to home. I tried another place with great reviews but I decided to come back to Dr Nguyen even the driving is more than 40mins now. I am so satisfied with his work and highly recommend him. Office is nice and clean, staffs are professional. Front desk Anna is great, she takes care of our schedules nicely! Great place! read more

Ana has been with this well-established practice since it first opened. She is friendly and cares about getting to know all patients on a first-name basis. Dr. Christine is skilled, nurturing, and has the best chairside manner. She does gentle, yet thorough cleanings. Her exams are incredibly detailed, and she takes the time to answer our questions. We like how she's so honest with any necessary treatment, and only recommends treatment that is beneficial to the patient. I have reassurance knowing that she has our best interest in mind at all times. Her fillings are impeccable. Zero post-op sensitivity and highly esthetic. Dr. Ky is also just as experienced, personable, and exemplifies a genuine concern for all of his patients. His work ethic is solid, and all treatment is performed with great quality. My whole family has been coming to this wonderful dental practice for years. We don't trust anyone else besides Dr. Bi and Dr. Shaaw with our oral health. Both dentists are so skillful, professional, and most importantly, caring. They are attentive to our needs, without being overly aggressive. I appreciate how honest they are with treatment proposals. All of their dental treatment is done to the highest quality. The fillings are esthetic and comfortable. The crowns are gorgeous and long lasting. So far so great! iCare was highly recommended by my kids' orthodontist. I'm embarrassed to admit how long it's been since my last DDS visit. Ana the reception was very accommodating, and just a pleasure to talk to. Dr. Shaaw was thorough on my first visit, even did the cleaning himself. On second visit to redo an old deteriorating filling he was kind and painless. I hate the "guilt" that most dentists give you when you go in. I got non of that here. We have been to this dentist for years. Gave them many chances to wow us. It just hadn't happen yet. Ana is overall awesome. The two Dentists are not kids friendly. They do not know how to work with kids. We asked if they have any kids. They are very reluctant to answer. We made an appointment to get our son teeth pulled. They booked him for cleaning. They pay no mind to our concern. If they are not cater to kids. They should mention that at first visit and turn us away. read more

icare dental group is great. My dentist is Percy Shaaw. He is super nice as is the office manager Ana. The ambiance of the office is quite calming and the staff makes you feel very relaxed. Dr. Shaaw is a great dentist who really stresses the importance of good oral hygiene with out lecturing his patients. I really appreciate this because he motivates me to take extra good care of my teeth without giving me a guilt trip. One of the coolest things about this office is that the dentist cleans your teeth (no hygienist) :) They are open late nights (till 8 pm I think) and Saturdays - so convenient. I've been seen by both Dr. Shaw and Dr. Be and can say that they've been the best dentists I've had so far. They are very honest dentists most importantly. I remember my old dentist telling me how many cavities I used to have even though I was good about brushing. Not all dentists are honest (just like mechanics - sadly). Everytime I go to my scheduled appointment, I'm seen within 5 - 10 minutes upon waiting. Unfortunately due to my change in insurance/employer, I've been forced to go to another dentist now. I didn't realize how nice I had it before that iCare was organized with a better balanced schedule as the last two visits with my current dentist had me waiting nearly an hour each time! The place is very clean and Ana at the front desk is nice as always. I highly recommend going here if your insurance plan is accepted. read more

Awesome experience with Dr. Shaaw, very gentle, detail-oriented and will take the time to explain what he's going to do and why. His skills are top-notch, you can tell that he knows what he's doing and he gets it done quickly but professionally. He cares about his patient, he wants to make sure that they feel ok after the procedure, and is willing to take the time to answer any questions you may have. I've been a patient here for over 8 years & I absolutely love this place. I always feel taken care & I'm always looking forward to getting my teeth cleaned . Dr. shaaw & Dr. Bi are amazing ! Very professional, good work ethic & very caring to their patients. I've referred a couple of family members here & they absolutely love it. If there's something I'm big on is cleanliness & their office exceeds the expectations. It's always nice & tidy with a relaxing vibe to it . For those who have kids this is the place to come. Their office includes a kid room with books & toys to keep children happy as well. Recently I had my nieces switch over to this office & they love it ! They always receive a cute goodie bag at the end of their visit. When it comes to scheduling front desk Ana is my life saver . She's the person to talk to if you have any questions or you need to schedule . Every time I come in to the office I get greeted at all times . These two dentists are nice but their work is terrible. Dentist Bi could not smooth out a small filling that she did for me then dst Shaaw tried to fix it but took him a few times to fix that and six months later this tooth broke in half. I went to see a difference dentist to see why my tooth broke in half from a small cavity and they told me that Bi & Shaaw filed too much of the tooth while they were trying to fix it and did not close up the filling properly which traped more food and bacteria. My new dentist found out that my other crown was also done by shaaw also has a big gap between the crown and the gum line so my dentist has to replaced the crown right away. Luckily i have it checked out. I encourage everyone if you have any dental work done by Shaaw and Bi, please take this serious and find a difference dentist and have it check out before it got too late that your teeth can't be saved. Again, these two dentists are nice but they are not good at dental work. They make it worst than they can fix. ( my dentist had to fix all of the work that was done from shaaw for me and my daughter). read more

Dr. Shaw is probably one of the best dentist I've had. He's very patient and caring. He tries to understand your concerns and provides multiple ways to address it. I can always rely on Ana for the reminder calls and postcard in the mail. She is also super helpful and knowledge about insurance claims. read more

I have been going to this dental office for the past few years, I've been to a lot of dentists over the years and this is my favourite one. I usually see Dr Shaaw. I like that he is honest and not always rushing in and out of the chair if you know what I mean. They have I think 3-4 cubicles in the office and I like it that it is not packed and he is not rushing from one patient to another. And I like that he never overdiagnoses just to bill the insurance. My favorite part is the environment, it is on a second floor, so it has a lovely view of the park square, it makes such a refreshing difference from other offices where the windows face the parking lot or is in a windowless room. I was once in an office in MountainView where the room faced the parking lot and while I'm all leaned back with my feet in the air, a creepy guy was like trying to look through the large window blinds! It definitely was not a good experience! I am usually anxious at the dentist, so it really makes a difference to me when the atmosphere is relaxed and calming. Hard to explain it, but there is a very zen , "good feng shui" feeling when you step in the office and don't feel like just a number. If you have dental anxiety, I definitely recommend you come to this office and see Dr Shaaw! read more

Used to be a patient here. Offices and patient areas are very clean and soothing. X-rays come up right on the computer screen. Cleaning is done by the dentist himself (Dr. Shaaw). Too bad it's so far out of my way; I've stopped making the drive down from Berkeley to this dentist. read more
