I had to write this review after reading a review where someone implied they were over charged for Botox. I have been going to SpaChiara for ten years. I've had Botox every 4 four to six months. If anything Dr. DeChiara has under charged me. She is the kindest most knowledgeable surgeon I've met. I had Botox and other procedures in Boston and NYC. She is by far the best, most honest, and least pushy PS I've ever seen. Hence the longer wait to get in with her. I had had many procedures including upper blepharoplasty surgery with Dr. DeChiara . I love my results. Everyone I have sent to see Dr. D has felt the same. I never write reviews but feel lucky to have found such a great group of people including Maria the head nurse and Amanda the scheduling coordinator. I highly recommend SpaChiara! read more

I LOVE SPA CHIARA! I got a breast reduction from Dr. D about 2 and a half years ago- it was a month before my 18th birthday. It was probably the best decision I've made so far in my life. I was always so insecure growing up, and when I developed breasts that only got worse. They began to expand and grow- by the age of 13 I had breasts the size of my head. I wore multiple sports bras daily, paid exorbitant prices for real bras and was constantly scolded by adults on how I looked. When I was 15 my mother and I began hunting for a breast reduction, because I had been talking about getting one since I was 13. I met with a doctor who creeped me out and put his hand on my leg and stared into my eyes, I met with someone who said "exercise more" when I had already lost weight through my eating disorder and exercise was nearly impossible. Dr. D changed all that for me a month before my 18th birthday. She was cool, calm, collected, and happy to be helping me. She listened to me when I cried about the toll my breasts had taken on my mental health and what other doctors (both were men) had told me. Her nurse at the time, Sherryl was just an Angel. She helped my nerves, she was comforting and would talk to me every step of the way. She held my hand when they put the IV in to begin the surgery. She even would text me to check in on me and I would text her constantly worried about it all. I would trust all the women at Spa Chiara with my life. Amanda, the esthetician who often answered the front desk phone was confident and so helpful by providing my insurance company all the evidence they needed to see that this surgery would be life changing. I was so excited for my breast reduction. That surgery was life changing, and I've seen Dr. D for questions, concerns, laser scar treatments (covered by insurance) and she always had a welcome smile and made me feel confident and empowered. After I healed I went back to working out and dancing (collegiate teams), a weight was lifted (6lbs) but I also didn't carry the burden of worrying about my top and how much I was moving, I didn't worry about staring. I'm seeing her again for a simple revision as it's been two and a half years and everything had settled and I've been able to lose weigh with my exercise. Dr. D and her staff changed my life. I feel that it is necessary to warn people about the disceptive business practice that this facility is engaging in. I called to make an appointment for Botox and was quoted $10 per unit for Botox. The nurse, Maria, told me she was putting 20 units per side of my face totalling 40 units for which I would be charged $400. During the procedure, she told me that the prodcut she was using was actually Dysport and that it is just as effective as Botox. It is not. Dysport is 2.5 - 3 times less effective than Botox and 2-3 times the quanity is needed for the same result. Accordingly, the price for Dysport is typically 1/2-1/3 the price per unit of Botox. This is common knowledge on the internet but at the appointment, I was not aware of this. The injections I received had no effect because it was 1/3 the recommended dose for Botox. I am having the procedure repeated at another provider. I spoke to Maria about this on the phone and first she assured me the products are the same. Not true. Then she stated she actually used 60 units per side of my face. This is a lie. This is a deceptive practice using a "bait and switch" and then they lied to cover it up. Be aware. read more

I've been coming to Dr. D for about 5 years now. First, I came just to get a little botox between my brows, as I had the dreaded 11's at the ripe age of 30. She was super nice, extremely knowledgeable and personal. She is probably the kindest doctor I have ever met. Anyway, back to the botox - she uses tiny magical needles, that barely hurt. I've been to other places where I bleed and bruise and I didn't have anything like that with her. My experience with other doctors and nurses proved to me how experienced Dr. D is. Needless to say, I put my face in her amazing hands. I now do more than just my 11's, but Dr. D guided me and educated me about preventative aging and never ever pressured me. It always looks natural, with movement. Over the last 5 years, I've tried a little of everything with her, and the rest of the spa. I had my lips done, they came out amazing, I asked for just a little pout, no duck lips and no one noticed, not even my boyfriend. She gave me a full dental block, so I didn't feel a thing, except for the lidocaine. I've also had some filler in my laugh lines, coolsculpting and really anything she suggests. I don't even want to mention, because I sound like an addict, which I am! Her staff is welcoming and knowledgeable as well. I don't have to shave anything any more thanks to Erica. I also use all the Obagi products & Hydrafacial they have there, I had acne for years and now I never break out. People compliment my skin all the time, a first for me. This place is a true gem. They book out pretty far in advance because of how amazing they are, so my tip is don't wait till the last minute! I've sent all my friends here too and they all love her. Total disaster!! I had minimal botox with Dr. D for the first time. I had botox several times before with good results but a friend insisted I see Sharon. I waited months for my appointment and not due to Covid. Ruined my birthday and had to swear that my husband didn't beat me. The bruising was so extensive and I looked like I had a black eye for 2 weeks! Beyond this, the botox didn't take in the desired areas. I had to beg to see her before the usual 2-3 week waiting period and I think she reluctantly agreed after seeing my disturbing pictures. She was very "pleasant" and not as rushed as first visit. She gave me some ointment for the bruising and additional botox injections at no extra charge :). However, the result was horrific and if I were as "vain" as I was as a young woman I would not have left my house for months. One eye is droopy/smaller than the other and my smile is extremely crooked. You can't see my teeth after years of invisalign and I have to wait till it wears off. At the same time, the botox that actually worked /looked good is already disappearing after the shortest period of time. Enormous pain and suffering not to mention the $$$. I wouldn't allow her to touch me again even if free of charge!! ....I don't have sensitive skin and even though you are signing something that says this outcome is a possibility , it shouldn't have happened!!! I don't understand how she is still in business and I urge potential patients to go elsewhere. SHAME ON HER!! read more

Dr. D is one of the most caring, understanding, and honest plastic surgeons I've met. She does not upsell you procedures you do not need. I told her I wanted a particular procedure, and she told me she would not do it for a few of years, as I did not need it yet. I recommended two friends who wanted another procedure and she suggested a less severe and costly procedure because she thought they also did not need it yet. They were very thankful that I recommended her. They loved her as much as I do. When another surgeon botched my breast reduction so badly, with the scars across the middle of my stomach. I could not look at myself in the mirror, it was horrible. I had consulted a few surgeons who told me that it would cost an outrageous amount of money to re-do, and would not be able to fix the horrible scars across my abdomen. Her fees are reasonable, and I know many men and women who hold her in high esteem. I decided to go ahead with her. She told me she would be able to improve my disfigurement, maybe not perfectly, but definitely the scar across my abdomen. She fixed it beyond my wildest dreams. Dr. D will be my surgeon for the rest of my life. I would definitely recommend her! She is fantastic, and her staff is absolutely fabulous. read more
