I have been seeing Jenn for facials for about 5 years. Before I went to her I would get facials here and there but they were always so expensive and I often left red and blotchy and feeling worse than when I went in. Seeing Jenn changed all that. She uses incredibly effective products (epicuren and pca skin) and procedures, but she is also gentle as well. She is so well educated on the products she uses (but never pushed them on you) and always up on the newest research. I just love seeing her for appointments. She will pamper you and make you glow! I see her faithfully every 6-8 weeks and my skin has never been better. Worth every penny! read more

Jenn is the best at what she does, no one knows skin better. I let her evaluate my skin and tell me what I need each time. if I have problem areas or concerns, she deals with that too. I even went to another professional who was doing something else for me when I asked about skin products while I was there. She referred me to Jenn and said she knows way more about skin & skin products... Jenn is so kind and provides very detailed and specific services that meet your needs. Im lucky to have found her. read more

I've been going to Jenn for bikini waxes for over 6 years and she is AMAZING!! SO good at what she does -- you're in and out quickly, she makes you feel SUPER comfortable (if you're modest, don't worry - she's super professional and will put you at ease), she uses top of the line products, she does a fantastic job, and you'll just love her to pieces like I do!! JEN IS AMAZING!! The absolute best esthetician I have ever been to! She takes the time to truly understand you and your current routine, both lifestyle and skin care. I love the holistic approach she uses for her clients, she wants the absolute best results and does this by working from the root of the issue. The recovery is my absolute favorite prebiotic which has helped SO MUCH and everything else is an added bonus! She has given me the confidence I have always wanted in my skin! read more

Jenn is the best! My friend referred me to her for facials several years ago and said she was the best! I thought I'd try her but knowing that everyone always says their referral is the BEST... but Jenn really is the BEST! She knows her stuff! Including products, different skin types, hormones, nutrition and my skin always looks and feels amazing for weeks afterwards. My make-up always goes on better and my skin tone is improved too. Hope you will love her too! read more

With my schedule continuously changing and my tendency to wait until the last minute to book, Jen is nothing but accommodating. She always greets me with a smile and makes me feel at home in her place of business. Sure she is busy, but she never can't fit me in and doesn't that speak for itself? I'm happy my waxer is busy because that means i chose wisely. :) I'd rather go furry than go to anyone else!! read more

Wow where do I even begin? Jen has been doing this for 10 years. She has been my bikini wax go to for the last three years. Her wax is from Paris and she uses only the best hair growth inhibitor! I have noticed that my hair has become less course and is getting finer overtime!! If you want a bikini wax that is virtually painless and takes less than five minutes visit Jen, The waxing queen!!! read more

I've been a big fan of Jenn for over 6 years. I always go to her for my skincare needs. Now that's she's opening up her OWN shop just steps away from her old place (literally the other corner of the same intersection), I couldn't be happier for her! So take my word on this. If you are looking for a great water and/or aesthetician, look no further. Jenn is your "go to" gal. For first timers of waxing, she's great at talking you through each step and leaves no surprises. Definitely give her a shot! I have and have not looked back since! read more

This place is great and I think you should stop in and meet the owner. Great service and great people is the first thing you notice walking in the door. The girl I met had been working in the industry for years and really knows what she is doing. I plan on picking up a gift certificate for my wife thus sumner for her birthday. read more

Spa Carmen - Skin Care Near Me - Overland Park, Kansas

As a loyal client of 8 years, it is long overdue that Jenn finally opened her own place. I could not imagine trusting my skincare needs to anyone else! Jenn makes you feel more than comfortable and relaxed with her calming spa decor, her bubbly & friendly personality, and her honest passion for what she does. It's not about booking another facial or wax to her....caring for your personal well being is her top priority! She makes instant connections with clients by listening to concerns and using her vast knowledge in skincare & waxing to solve problems. She never stops learning her trade and always strives to keep improving to bring her clients the best products & skincare techniques available. You can call her with a skin emergency and she is more than willing to go the extra mile to help you. Beyond that, she is flexible & understanding with scheduling, can often squeeze you in early if you are there ready to go, makes communication easy & convenient by text messages for appointments and is VERY reasonably priced...and worth every penny! My advice is to make an appointment, arrive 20 minutes early so you can put your feet up and enjoy some relaxation time before your fabulous treatment! read more

I have been seeing Jenn for three years and YAS!!!! She is the Queen of skin perfection!! She does not skimp on products that are Spa Quality! I'm African American and I fear that if my wax is not done right that I will get bikini bumps. Nope, not with Jenn! I love her and so should you. You are in and out in such a quick time it's ridiculous not to see her! She is professional and extremely courteous. I love her and I am sure you would too once you experience her skills aesthetically!! read more

There simply are not enough stars for Jenn! I mean, Spa Carmen hasn't even opened yet and just look at her stellar reviews! I've been going to Jenn for over five years now and cannot imagine ever going to anyone else. She's a master at her craft and I trust her completely. The product she uses, the setting she's created and her overall good vibes are the perfect combination for a great experience. Getting a Brazilian wax isn't typically a walk in the park, but with Jenn it's about as close to one as you can get. I feel so fortunate to have Jenn as my wax queen! read more

I've been going to Jenn for over five years and I am so happy for her and her new spa! I started going to her for my very first Brazilian and got addicted from there. She has an amazing way of making you feel very comfortable in an uncomfortable situation! After about a year of seeing Jenn for laser she recommended I try laser and I'm so glad I did, much worth the pain! Besides waxing, I also go to Jenn for the most amazing facials! She has done wonders on my skin and knows how to help me if I'm having any issues. She has been a miracle worker and I refer her to anyone that will go! A year and a half ago I had to move from Costa Mesa to San Diego but I couldn't find anyone to replace Jenn, so now every 4-6 weeks I come to see her for my facial and it's like hanging out with an old friend! So excited for Spa Carmen, it's so beautiful and I couldn't be happier for Jenn! read more

There are not enough stars to give a truly accurate review of Jenn and Spa Carmen!!! I have two teen daughters, one of whom is a international luxury brand fashion model, and we would never trust anyone else with the care of our largest human organ, the SKIN. She is very gentle yet thorough with her waxing and knows how to shape brows beautifully. I am incredibly grateful for what she has done to my 40-something skin, which, after 15+ years of diving deep into mommyhood and all the sacrifices that entails, was looking so very tired and sallow. After a little more than a year of regular treatments, including peels and custom facials, I am the happy recipient of many positive comments from strangers and friends alike about the condition of my skin (even better, the shocked reaction from people when they hear my true age!) She erased 10+ YEARS off my face! Jenn's custom facials are INVALUABLE and I recommend them to everyone I know. She uses only the best in skincare (PCA and Epicurean), and since she really gets to know your face so intimately, you can be confident that you are doing The Best for your particular issues (important for budgeting both time and money). Her prices are very reasonable, but be sure to utilize the rewards program she offers for paying cash, which is a great way to splurge on some of the pricier products you'll want for home use (InjecStem Bio-firming Serum by Epicurean is a total game changer for the over 40 set!) As if her talent and commitment wasn't enough, Jenn is also a sweet soul with a huge heart. I feel very blessed to have found her and Spa Carmen. :) read more

This review is long overdue! I've been a client of Jenn's for almost a year now and I absolutely love her work. She is a professional and it's often hard to find that in the skin care business. Her new place is beautiful, relaxing and most of all exceptionally clean. She's thought of everything and the small details definitely show. Jenn is a speed waxer and this makes getting my legs waxed way less daunting. I will keep coming back as long as my budget allows! Thank you, Jenn! read more

I have been coming to Jenn for 2+ years and she is by far the best esthetician I have ever been to. She knows her stuff!! Brings the best out of my skin. I constantly get compliments on my skin and I always praise Jenn. She is the reason my face looks so good!! Love ya girl!! read more

Spa Carmen was such a great place to go to. When we walked in, the front office area was very nice and pleasant. The waiting area was relaxing and she had snacks and water. The bathroom is also very clean. She was very professional and made us feel so comfortable - we recommend her to everyone. read more

Jenn is absolutely wonderful! The second you walk into Spa Carmen it is relaxing and friendly. Jenn makes sure you are comfortable and educates you on every step of your custom facial. When she says custom, it truly is, I have other friends who see her and not one of us gets the same treatment. She analyzes your skin and targets exactly what each person needs. My skin has been completely rejuvenated since I started seeing her. She's so accommodating she even let me come by one Saturday when I woke up with a rash on my face from allergies and gave me products to ease the pain and redness. I cannot recommend Jenn and Spa Carmen enough! read more

If you are looking for an amazing Esthetician, there is honestly no one better than Jenn Giffi. She specializes in waxings but also does amazing facials! I've been going to her for over 4 years now and I can't imagine ever using anyone else. So professional, so sweet and she really knows what she's doing. Once you go to her, you will never wanna use anyone else for your skin care! read more

I moved to Southern California from Idaho almost a year ago and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon. Why? Well...because, besides the beach, I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT JENN!! The special care and services I receive at Spa Carmen have transformed my life, my health, and my wellbeing. I can't possibly offer enough praise or gratitude for this beautiful little spa and Jenn's healing hands. Do not miss out on these gems!! My story: I have suffered from painful cystic acne for over 15 years and have tried every medical and cosmetic treatment under the sun... 2 courses of Accutane, numerous prescription topical retinoids, various oral antibiotics, light therapy, lasers, micro-dermabrasion...not to mention all of the products I've purchased from drug stores, Sephora, and television commercials. After all this wasted time and money, I was left with hyper-pigmentation, scarring, digestive problems and worsening cystic acne lesions. When I came to Jenn six months ago, I was desperate and tired of spending money at the dermatologists office and pharmacy. I needed something different and I needed someone to address my individual skin problems. After my first facial, I was amazed to the beautiful skin underneath the breakouts and dark spots. The tone, texture, and clarity was something I had never experienced. Jenn put me on a specialized skin care routine with products that were effective and affordable. Each time I came in for a follow-up treatment, she would cater the facial to whatever my skin needed at the time. Together we have worked to regenerate and restore the health and vitality of my skin. Just the other day, I looked in the mirror and was shocked! I finally like my skin!! Jenn has recommended make-up brands and tips, but I find that I don't want to wear as much make-up as I used to. I don't feel the need to cover up or hide my skin. When anything changes in my life due to stress, hormones, etc., Jenn knows exactly what to do. She is a true expert at her trade and could easily charge more for her knowledge and the results she provides. I admire Jenn for her business ethics and love to be around her vibrant, loving, and positive energy. I just adore her and Spa Carmen!!! read more

I have been going to Jen for the last few years for waxing and facials. Not only does she do a tremendous job, every time, she uses the BEST natural products. My skin doesn't get irritated after waxing like it used to anywhere else I have gone. Her facials are specific to my skins needs and I feel so relaxed after each visit. Her pricing is also comparable. I feel like I am seeing my good friend anytime I get waxed or a facial. She is an amazing person, and an awesome at what she does! read more

I'm a longtime (almost 10 year) client of Jenn's. The best waxer in the business. She offers a quick, relatively painless experience and breezy, casual conversation. It's a clean, comfortable space with chic decor. read more

Could not imagine life without Spa Carmen and Jenn! Spa Carmen is my go-to for all things involving wax and skin care! Every time I go in for an appointment I leave happier; Spa Carmen is a place for anyone who wants a superior wax or facial combined with a relaxing atmosphere and the friendliest most caring people you will ever meet! read more

Oh My Gosh! Jenn is seriously amazing! I honestly have such sensitive skin and was so afraid to get a facial because I tend to break out after, but Jenn, has taken my fears away, my skin looks better than it has ever looked in my life, and I had the best time chatting with her, she really knows her stuff! read more

I came here for a custom facial after getting my face wrecked at another "spa" and boy howdy, this place is great. They helped my skin heal and clear up and I'm not embarrassed to go out without makeup anymore. I waited a month to write this review to see if I would get any breakouts from the serums/cleansers they used. It's now 4 weeks later and I haven't had a blemish yet! Can't wait to schedule another appointment! read more

My review for Jenn Giffi the Wax Queen is long overdue! I've been going to Jenn every month for over 5 years (shaving is so painful for me due to really thick hair). Before Jenn, I had been to waxists that made me bleed, that went over the same spot over and over, and who made me feel really uncomfortable. Jenn was a godsend! She is so quick, you are in and out in like 15 minutes. It's a brazilian that's as pain-free as possible. And she is just so awesome! She really takes care of her space and everything is decorated so cute. I think for her skill and the spa-like environment, her pricing is super reasonable.. less expensive than other "high-end" places, but way better quality. I can't picture going to anyone else. Thanks Jenn! read more

I've been going to Jenn for almost a year now. I found her when I was looking to purchase an Epicuren product from a seller, instead of ordering online. Honestly, I wasn't looking for consistent facials at the time (I had always gone to a corporate spa where they give the non-custom facials and I was never that impressed). Needless to say, I met Jenn and loved her from the very beginning. She is incredibly warm, makes you feel extremely comfortable, and she definitely knows skin. I went to my first facial with her and was hooked. I refer everyone I know to her! Not to mention, her new spa is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. She never tries to "sell" you on a product and always gives testers for you to take home to try and find something you like before purchasing. She also uses excellent product like Epicuren or PCA. I've never met someone who not only has the skin care knowledge, but actually CARES (very much so) about helping you achieve a glowing complexion. Regular corporate spa's don't give you a custom facial, Jenn does. She fine-tunes your facial to your skin and what it needs - it's not a one-size-fits-all kind of thing. And her prices honestly can't be beat considering what you get and the time and attention she puts in. She's incredibly responsive (text or otherwise!) and always has a smile on her face. Jenn has been a gift not only to me, but my skin! I look forward to my appointments with her so much, trust her completely and she is my ultimate "go-to" when I have a skin care question, concern, or flare up. Jenn is absolutely awesome and worth every penny!!!! read more

Spa Carmen is amazing! Can't say enough great things about jenn and her team. From a clean cute spa to a great experience - hands down they are the best! She is great at waxing and facials. If you are looking for someone that does waxing - look no further. Spa Carmen is your place! read more

I have been going to Jen for five years now and she is more like family than spa owner. The spa is easily accessible, beautiful and clean. But most importantly, Jen has skills. Waxing with her is amazing. She is professional, talented and makes you feel very comfortable. Best Brazillian in town! read more
