Filled him in by return text, and he committed right away to coming to our home the next day (Saturday). Texted me that morning when he was 30 min and then 5 min away, and arrived when promised with the necessary parts . Had everything installed, lubed, and up and running within 15-20 min. I first hired Thomas from Alphonse Overhead Door in June 2019 to replace the bottom seals on three…read moregarage doors, and I was extremely impressed with how quickly he responded and how thorough he was. He even caught an issue with a small shed door that had been letting in water for years. He recognized the problem right away, made the proper adjustments, and explained everything clearly. The work was done efficiently, and the quality stood out. In December 2022, I needed all three of my garage door openers upgraded, and I didn't hesitate to call Thomas again. He installed new LiftMaster units, and the difference has been incredible. The openers are quiet, smooth, reliable, and far more modern than the old systems they replaced. Once again, he handled everything professionally, tested all the features, cleaned up afterwards, and made sure I understood how everything worked. What I appreciate most is that the level of service has remained consistently excellent over the years. Thomas takes pride in his work, shows up when he says he will, charges fair prices, and treats your home with respect. It's rare to find someone who maintains this level of quality across multiple visits. If you're in the Merrimack Valley, the Seacoast area, or anywhere in Essex County, Thomas is absolutely worth calling for anything related to garage doors, repairs, or opener installation. I've referred many people to him and will continue to do so. He's a reliable professional you can trust.

My wife left for work one recent morning, and when she closed the garage door after exiting I heard…read morea large *CRACK* from inside the house; she didn't notice anything amiss, and headed for work. I looked into the garage and saw that our large/double-wide garage door had stopped closing about a foot or two above the ground. No problem, I think. I'll just push the button and finish the job. Nope. The door tried going back up and then twisted, threw a roller, twisted a bracket and stopped dead. A quick examination revealed that this was beyond my ability to fix. I called Independent Overhead Door at around 8:45 a.m., the owner picked up the phone and said he'd be over in 30-40 minutes. And he was! He looked everything over and had it fixed in an hour or two, including replacing a busted cable. He straightened the bracket that was twisted (because he did not have a replacement on his truck) so that we'd have the use of the door over the weekend, but promised to return the following Monday with a new bracket. He showed up Monday, replaced the bracket and now things are working as good as new!
