I just signed up for Yelp for the specific purpose of sharing my amazing experience with this company. I called mid afternoon Friday and explained I was interested in pricing some new garage doors and having mine repaired as a cable kept breaking on it. I called and spoke with a gentleman who was FANTASTIC. He said one of the guys who does repairs lived a town away from me and he could have him stop by on his way home to fix our doors so we weren't stranded without them working over the weekend. I said that wasn't necessary but he said he wanted me to have a good experience as I had previously tried working with a few companies locally who were not overly helpful. The gentleman I spoke with said fimble warranties their work and stands by it. He offered to have his guy bring some price lists and brochures with him for new doors but that he was only doing so as I mentioned interest in a new door and wasn't trying to be pushy. Sure enough that afternoon a filmbel employee stopped by And was very detailed oriented and for my door fixed. It was such an easy fix he didn't even bill me. He then showed me a list of doors on sale and got us into beautiful designed door. This company was about 1/3 the cost of the big need companies. There was literally no stress or attempts to sell me expensive products. I was interested in new door motors but they said there was no need until mine die. My wife and I have never been more impressed with any company and HIgHly recommend them!! Professional, friendly, great prices! Wow what a fantastic local New Hampshire company. We have a 33-year-old garage door that was installed by Fimbel originally. The bottom panel of our large double size door had dry rotted over the years. We thought we might have to replace the entire door. We called Fimbel to get a quote for the work. Within one day, John and Travis arrived at our home and advised us that they could replace just the damaged panel. They explain that they are the only company that keeps used door sections that can save the homeowner money. So we opted to have the bottom panel replaced with a use door section saving hundreds of dollars. In addition, we were told that if we had the paint that we were going to use on the door we could go to the Merrimack shop and paint the panel before it was installed. We called the office and talked with John and he had the panel set up for us. We took the time to paint the panel and within one day the company brought it to our home and installed it quickly and flawlessly. We are extraordinarily pleased with the quality of the product and quality of the service from Fimbel. A real customer oriented business. We would recommend them for anyone's garage door servicing. These folks are amazing, really. I don't give this rating out lightly or often but in this case it is warranted and deserved. One person came out to suvey the job and told me what would transpire in the coming days as well an an estimate so there were no surprises. I wanted to upgrade my three garage doors but one of the doors/bays had a dead Stingray there so until it is fixed I could not do the third door. They are nice enough to wait until I can do the third door. If you can beleive it they came out to do the two and will come back at a later date when I can clear the bay. A lone technician came out and upgraded to a belt vs. a chain system. the tech. was professional, quick and very courteous . He required no assistance and once the job was done he even programmed it all for me so all I need do is push buttons. A great incentive to me was that they even honored my military service with a discount on the job. These folks are the best I have ever come across for garage door install. I wrote this review yesterday but it did not get published. I have had two experiences with Fimbel and both were near perfect. Both Carl and his son Jon are not only perfect gentlemen, but also excellent craftsmen. I walked into the store last week on Tuesday with a problem that I could not open the door with the remote in my Jeep. Jon gave me an appointment between 9 and 11 AM Thursday.. Dan, the tech, was there promptly at 9 and informed me that I needed to have a remote to program the car. As we have had the opener for over 10 years, we had no idea where it was. Dan happened to have an inexpensive one in his truck and I bought it and he programmed the opener in less that 15 minutes. As my wife was not there with her car, he waited another half hour so he could program hers as well. I could not ask for better service. Fimbel Garage Doors is the Amazon Prime of local retailers. Fimbel Garage Doors is simply the best garage door company around. After having them service my garage doors in Manchester, I contracted with them to replace 2 garage doors and the trim around them at a home in the Lakes Region. Andy Fimbel was a pleasure to work with. I watched him all day as he did a truly professional installation of 2 new doors. I thought I needed new gears in my openers and he declined to replace them after reassuring me that they were in fine shape. Due to some structural problems with the home, the job took much longer than he thought it would but he did not charge me any extra. He installed some new framing an no extra charge because it was the right way to the job. His craftsmanship in replacing the wood trim around the doors with plastic wood was top notch and after installing the doors he painstakingly went over every inch with a cleaner to remove any finger prints. If you want to hire a company that does the job the way it should be done then hire Fimbel Garage Door Company. read more

I was having air leaking into my garage around the door frame. I contacted Fimbel thinking I would need to replace the door and opener. When I contacted them and showed them photos of my installation, they told me I would not need a new door and that they could adjust it for me. They sent 2 men out when they looked at it they said no problem we can adjust this so your door will be as tight as possible. In less than an hour they were able to adjust the door and lube it up so that it once again sealed tightly. They replaced one piece of weather stripping and my door is quieter and tighter than it's been since it was new. Excellent people in the office and the professionals who did the service. The price was very fair, I should have had them come out years ago. When I do need to replace the door and when I get the door "tuned-up" again, I plan on having them back and anyone I know will be aware of how great a company this is. read more

Excellent old-fashioned service that's rare these days. Purchased and installed new garage doors from Fimbel in Merrimack. Their installer noticed a ding on the inside of one of the panels that I would probably never noticed and told me he'd get it replaced. These were special order doors, so after a few weeks before I was thinking I should give them s call, they called me to ask when they could install the replacement panel. When they came out with the new panel, they noticed another ding and order another. The next ordered panel was also dented, which they noticed before making the trip to my house. Finally, the fourth ordered replacement panel came from the factory un-dented and is now installed. I never once had to chase or even call them about this. They may have issues with one of their suppliers but making it right for this customer was impressive customer service that I doubt I would have received elsewhere. read more

Fimbel Garage Doors is a wonderful family run business that simply does top notch service in a very timely and professional manner. The spring snapped on my very old garage door and left me stranded with no transportation as my vehicle was inside and the old double door weighed a ton! They were able to come over the same day to get my car out, assess the situation. I decided on a new door and they came back about a week later with a new beautiful, well made door that they installed in very little time. We have had trouble with our third bay garage door for 8 years now. John did his best to try to diagnose our trouble over the phone to save us from needing a service visit. Far and above the best customer service I've ever experienced. My house is in the process of being sold. 14 days before closing, and the buyer doing a final walk through, the garage door was damaged. I was in a panic. I called Fimbel and left a message on a Saturday afternoon. On Monday, before they opened, I received a call from John, assuring me they could take care of my issue. A short time later I received a call from Carl. I received the same assurance that they could take care of my issue and understood my situation. I recently bought a home and the door was in terrible shape and failed a home safety inspection. I heard from a family friend that Fimbel was a great place to call so I asked for an estimate. One of the owners came to my house the same day to give me the quote. Not only was it professional and quick the price was good and my door was installed that same week. I can not say enough good things about this company from sales to service they are the best!!! Today John and Tucker installed my beautiful new garage door . I was able to continue working without interruption while they worked in this freezing weather to install my oversized garage door . Fimbel carries a far superior garage door than the large home improvement stores, the R value was triple to what the home improvement stores had! Best contractor I've ever worked with. I had a difficult install, requiring removing concrete and reframing an opening. The crew spent two days at my home making sure everything was done correctly. They even matched the rough sawn exterior siding that needed patching perfectly. I felt like they treated my home as they would their own, pointing out things that had nothing to do with the garage doors, but that a home owner would want to know. Called for service at 3 PM due a snapped cable. Got voicemail and left a message. Received a callback within 15 minutes and was told someone would be out the next day between 11 AM - 1 PM. Mike arrived at 11 AM sharp. Replaced the cable and a pulley. I asked him to check out everything else (both doors). He recommended a couple of other minor replacements and I agreed. He tightened, adjusted and lubricated everything before leaving. Great job by a knowledgeable guy. Excellent service! From the moment I called to have someone look at my garage door, which had stopped working, to the follow up visit and calls, they were extremely helpful. They got someone to check my door the same day I called, at no extra cost. I called Fimbel because I was having a problem with a recent garage door install by another company that they refused to do warranty work on. I explained the issue and Fimbel immediately knew what the problem was and offered 3 solutions, saying that if one didn't work they would try the others. The first worked. Because of this interaction, I asked them to replace an aging door opener and the work they did and my interaction with them was incredible, especially compared to the previous company.
