I called Belanger because it looked like a family owned business and less likely to give me the run - around. The lady that answered was nice and she booked me for just a few days out. She said her son would stop by. One thing I usually hate about service people is they treat you like you are an idiot for breaking the stuff in the first place or they have never seen your particular issues, even though you know it's common or you get mysterious charges for a flux capacitor on your bill. Not the case with Belanger. The service tech was friendly and listen to every issue I had. He had the attitude of "Yeah, I can fix that, no problem. We see this all the time". He didn't replace wheels and hinges that weren't broken, he realigned everything, and got all my issues taken care of in under 40 minutes. I was very pleased with everything. Door works great, the key pad is awesome. The bill was 1/2 of what I expected. For example, one line on the bill was "Fix Track $5" really $5? I would have been glad to pay $50, the track was a hot mess! Bottom line is they didn't rake me over the coals and I will call them if I ever have issues with my garage doors again. Hard to beat a family run business that values customer service. Gary - Hillview Heights Saco Service date 8/21/2018

He even caught an issue with a small shed door that had been letting in water for years. He recognized the problem right away, made the proper adjustments, and explained everything clearly. The work was done efficiently, and the quality stood out. In December 2022, I needed all three of my garage door openers upgraded, and I didn't hesitate to call Thomas again. He installed new LiftMaster units, and the difference has been incredible. The openers are quiet, smooth, reliable, and far more modern than the old systems they replaced. Once again, he handled everything professionally, tested all the features, cleaned up afterwards, and made sure I understood how everything worked. What I appreciate most is that the level of service has remained consistently excellent over the years. Thomas takes pride in his work, shows up when he says he will, charges fair prices, and treats your home with respect. It's rare to find someone who maintains this level of quality across multiple visits. If you're in the Merrimack Valley, the Seacoast area, or anywhere in Essex County, Thomas is absolutely worth calling for anything related to garage doors, repairs, or opener installation. I've referred many people to him and will continue to do so. He's a reliable professional you can trust.

I looked into the garage and saw that our large/double-wide garage door had stopped closing about a foot or two above the ground. No problem, I think. I'll just push the button and finish the job. Nope. The door tried going back up and then twisted, threw a roller, twisted a bracket and stopped dead. A quick examination revealed that this was beyond my ability to fix. I called Independent Overhead Door at around 8:45 a.m., the owner picked up the phone and said he'd be over in 30-40 minutes. And he was! He looked everything over and had it fixed in an hour or two, including replacing a busted cable. He straightened the bracket that was twisted (because he did not have a replacement on his truck) so that we'd have the use of the door over the weekend, but promised to return the following Monday with a new bracket. He showed up Monday, replaced the bracket and now things are working as good as new!
