He sent the two lightest guys to walk my metal roof. They chopped limb, threw pieces down, chipped and hauled away. Got back up on roof and blew off debris. Crew of seven. Three trucks, a trailer and a chipper came for my job. They fit me in today. Gave estimate on extensive backyard cleanup and will schedule me in two weeks. Very happy with Bam's Tree Service. Chris is polite, considerate, organized, as were his employees. He told me if city didn't come in two weeks, he would return to remove what was left over. We had a very large patch of Araca palm trees that went way over the power lines. Duke Energy was not quite as efficient. They messed up something and it put the job off further. I had a less than ideal experience with Jamie. When I reached out for a quote he was one of the…read morefirst ones to respond and show up. He was very knowledgeable about trees and permitting. He was definitely more personable than the rest of the people I got quotes from and took the time to answer all my questions. We ended up going with him since he seemed trustworthy and was mid-range priced--not the cheapest but not the most expensive. Everything seemed to be going well until 2 days after starting the job he called us to ask for more money since there was more on the roof than he anticipated--even though he actually went out for an in person quote and probably should have been more thorough. At that point with the job 2/3 done, what are we supposed to say? No? After agreeing to the increased charge, he finished Friday as promised and sent pictures prior to getting paid. At this point I would have still felt like he deserved 5 stars because there was a lot of clean up and the pictures looked really great compared to how it was before. Unfortunately, shortly after mud water was backing up into the sinks and when they went to go check the cap was off the main sewer line with leaves all blown in. We contacted Jamie the following Monday who, of course, stated that it wasn't his fault. To his credit he offered to come take a look at it but then stopped responding. We had to get a plumber out to fix it who said the cap came off somehow and leaves/dirt was blown into it. Kind of suspicious since he was the last one to do anything around that area. He finally called us back on Wednesday and stated that even if it's not his fault he would pay for half of it. I thought that was reasonable but then 4 days later he decided that he's not paying since it's not his fault. This whole thing has been really annoying to deal with.
