I am a complete Soy Boy and a huge fan of this delicious vegan fast food chain. Not only are they close to gay bars and clubs, but they open late and are very generous with their portions. We ordered an impossible burger with fries and a drink to go, and damn, they do not skimp out on the amount of fries. Our bag was full of these delectable slices of potatoes that went oh-so well at night with our burger. That alone makes this spot one of the best, friendly places to check out when you're in the area. Next time I return, I'd love to try their chicken burger and some of their cookies on display too. Stopped in for vegan fast food and that's exactly what I got. They use Impossible Burgers and Lifelight for the chicken I believe. Ordered the chicken fingers. You get to pick your sauce. Got dill Serrano. It was yummy. They have a whole case of vegan cookies which I will get next time. Small space, but room to eat inside if you're no more than 2-4 people. Service was good from the one female employee running the show this evening. Location is good and it's easy to find. Street parking or walk up. read more

Vegetarian smash burger on the fluffiest bun. Their waffle fries were also fresh, crispy and well seasoned. The patty was a bit thin but they do offer a double patty burger. I think the impossible meat burger might need to be thin because it doesn't have the same texture as ground beef. But it charred well and had good flavour. There's limited space to sit and eat in stores but the service is fast and it's a burger so seating turnover is pretty quick too. Would definitely come back again but maybe for takeout next time. I came here for their free soft serve on national ice cream day. They had vanilla and strawberry soft serve, both vegan I believe. It's usually $4 and I'd say they give you a great amount for the price. You can get a twist but I wanted just strawberry and it did not disappoint. It was so refreshing and not too tart for a hot summer day! I'd definitely go back just for the strawberry sorbet again! The service was super quick even tho there were three people in front. This place is so good I can't even explain. Its a fast food vegan paradise. They really only have 4 things on the menu (burger, chicken burger, chicken strips, waffle fries) but they are all so delicious. We stayed 4 nights and probably ate at Soy Boys 6 times. The chicken burgers and chicken strips are so crispy and flavorful. I recommend the chipotle mayo to dip. The burger can be single, double, triple, and you can add vegan cheese. They are open very late and you can have it delivered. We stayed at a hotel nearby and had it delivered each night. The customer service is so good but I don't know if that's because of this place or just Canada in general has very good customer service. They have two small tables and a small counter you can eat at if you dine in. read more

Great spot for beyond meat burgers/vegan options in general and IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wanted to come by for a while and went right when it opened at 11 but it looked like the employee was still opening up the store. He told me that the other employee did not show up that morning so he was scrambling to get everything ready but still dropped everything to make me a meal. I ended up ordering the soy boy with waffle fries and so could see how much care he was putting into the food. When it was time to pay, the computer wasn't loading so he asked if I happened to have cash (which I did) and was super grateful since he wouldn't be able to do a card transaction. He ended up giving me a coupon for free vegan soft serve the next time I came and he really made me feel welcome and overall just had the most positive energy. I never leave reviews but the customer service here is nonexistent and I actually got scammed out of my money. We ordered delivery for two combo meals: a veg chicken burger and a reg veg burger with fries and a drink for each. the meal turned up without the fries and without the drink. We paid $56 for two sandwiches. We called right away and no one picked up the phone. We couldn't even leave a voicemail because it was full. We called multiple times that night but no one answered. We DM'd the restaurant on instagram explaining the situation and got no reply. We called again the next day and no one answered. I've emailed them twice but have still not received any reply. This place obviously does not care about their customer's experience and has no problems scamming people out of their money. WE PAID $56 FOR TWO SANDWICHES.. I cannot stress that enough. My friends and I live outside Toronto so any trip into the city MUST include Soy Boys! In fact, we talk about it for a week before leaving. LOL They have one of the BEST best burgers I've ever had & the waffle fries are to die for. I do NOT get the same results from Impossible burgers at home so whatever they do takes it up a level for sure. When I have room - soft serve to go. What a treat. Service is very friendly! Soy boys is soy good!!! Their burgers and chicken burgers taste like real meat, but it's all plant based. The burger is juicy and flavourfu, and the chicken is well seasoned and crispy. Between the two of them, my favourite is the chicken. The burger is really good though! read more

I just had the soft serve vanilla strawberry swirl. Really yummy, not too sweet with good flavour profiles. I'll be trying the burgers next time. Excellent burger - love that they offer the impossible burger. Its so much tastier and a tad but healthier I think than beyond burger. Special sauce was amazing. The only con was a limited menu. While exploring Pride today I wanted something cold and discovered a new vegan fast food place on the east side of Church Street just south of Maitland Street called Soy Boys. Located in a store front that is a couple of steps up from Church Street, one of those split brownstone-like entry ways, the place features a selection of fast food items that includes, soy based burgers, fries, onion rings and soft serve ice cream. One of my vegan FB groups had been talking up the place so I wanted to try their ice cream and was pleased that they had two options today: vanilla and mango. I opted for mango and was delighted. For $ 3.50 the soft serve ice cream was served in a cup at the perfect temperature, especially for a hot day, and was really delicious. Hopefully, in the future they will add some pineapple soft serve (one of my childhood favourites or as a pineapple shake with pineapple juice & pineapple soft serve) which would make the trip to the store even more enjoyable. read more

In a city where almost every vegan place closes at 10 or earlier I really appreciate their late-night hours and the fact they're open every day. When I'm working I eat here almost every day. read more
