I have finally found an eyebrow threading salon I like! Praise! After reading rave reviews from other Yelpers, I decided to give Sovi Salon a try. I called ahead and they were able to squeeze me in last minute. The salon looks bright and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I've been growing out my brows for the past year and another salon ruined them in June, so I was a little worried my brows would be ruined again. Shila is on point for color, cut and a perfect style finish after each service. Such a wonderful place for eyebrow threading. It is a hair salon as well and maybe more services but I am only reviewing the eyebrow threading and it's the best place. It's very clean and welcoming inside. Owned and operated by mostly Indian-Asian women and they are all so friendly and helpful. The sign on the front of the door says appointment only so call first. My eyebrow threading was $10 and worth it !! Ive gotten it done a few times from here and each person was different and Everytime I left happy with how my brows looked. They take the time with you and ask how you want it shaped, pay attention to detail and your face and also every one wears masks. I'll never go anywhere else!! read more

Ever since I found out about this salon I never went back to the one that I used to go to, mainly is because I always get a great service at a more affordable price. I've been coming here for the past 3 yrs for my full highlights, partial highlights, haircuts, eyebrows threading, etc. I've have some experiences with other stylists but Sheila is my all time favorite (I hope I spell her name right). I feel so fortunate to have found Sovi Salon!!! I visit for eyebrow threading and so far I have yet to be disappointed. I have been serviced by Shida and Shezana. Both ladies did a fantastic job and I get many compliments during my many, many zoom calls. The price is $10 for eyebrow threading which is phenomenal. My old place in South Florida was twice that much and the service was not nearly as good. They also give you a punch card so you can earn a free brow threading service! Making an appointment is super easy and they have always accommodated my even last minute. The service is super quick and I have never had to wait long upon arrival. The salon is clean and everyone is really sweet. They sanitize frequently and parking has yet to be an issue. Threading always hurts, but I actually look forward to returning again very soon! read more

Excellent experience!! From the front desk to the waxing and trim provided, these are true professionals. They don't take "walk Ins" but I usually do for ear waxing and eye brows. They can usually fit me right in especially through the week...of course girls are getting all beautiful there on Fridays and Saturdays, other than that great choice all around- one last thing, it's was only 20 for eye brows and ears....so I usually tip heavy! I have gone here 3 times now and have been very satisfied with each experience. I primary have my eyebrows threaded and hair colored with henna. Each of my visits have been done recently and I was very impressed with how precautions everyone was there. They had face masks, face shields, and were consistently washing their hands between clients. Shida particular was so cautious. I really appreciated that. In addition, Shida was understanding about my bushy AKA COVID-19 eyebrows lol. Being cooped up in the house really made the eyebrows become a unibrow. Shida was able to shape and keep my eyebrows thick the way I like it. I will definitely continue coming here. The price is good and the service is consistent and good quality. read more

I recently moved and was in the Johns Creek area so I stopped in the get my brows done for an event this evening. I never made an appt before so I thought walkins were welcome. I can only rate this place based on the initial lack of customer service. I was a walk in. There was a client at the front desk speaking to an employee I was not greeted, no worries I didn't want to interrupt so I waited. 5 min later their conversation is still going. The rep looks at me during their talk but never acknowledges me. When they are done she calls another client and takes her back. I am never acknowledged or asked to be helped. I waited another 2 min. 10 min into waiting I left. I will not return. read more

In my 20 and 30s, I used whatever hair dresser (I use that term very loosely todescribe them) that was cheapest.  I've had the same hairdresser for about 10 years.  recently moved to the area and decided to try a local place and haven't had my hair cut or professionally colored in 5 months.  So that's the crux of this perspective.  I I walked into Sovi Salon without an appointment at 4 pm this afternoon armed with the Google reviews and a picture of me just after my last hair cut/color. I didn't have to wait and was immediately consulted on what I was looking to have done. I put alot of trust in a hairdresser. I trust, like a mechanic working on my car, that they know what they are doing, how to feel my hair and look at the way it lays as well as how it is cut to lay that way.  I was pleased that the hair dresser took the time to not only listen but asked to touch and kinda scrunch my hair to get a feel for it.  She asked leading, direct questions about my haircare routines and gave solid advice on how to improve them.  So after initially asking for only a cut, I then asked for a color as well. I was in the salon for about 2 and a half hours and got a cut, and color as well as threading on my eyebrows and upper lip.  I was impressed with so many facets of the business. 1)  The diversity of the clients. Men and women of all ages as well as grade school girls and boys.  Most importantly, all hair types and textures- hair that is thick, thin, frizzy, straight, curly, colored, grey, blonde, black.  All handled with grace and ease. Each customer (including myself) walking out looking 1000 times better and with a smile on their face. 2) The diversity of services. They offer not only the entire breadth of hair services but also facials, threading waxing, etc. See their website. 3) Each client seemed to be treated confidentially. Too often in salons, sitting so close, you hear the conversations among patrons and staff. Not here. The staff spoke softly and was professional, with a few foreign language conversations made here and there, throughout my visit. 4) The staff seemed to help each other out. Every station wasn't swept and cleared after each client, but when staff had a moment not dedicated to a client, they were straightening, tidying and sweeping the whole place. They really seemed to value getting the clients done and helping each other second. It's a rare thing in the commission world. I'm a little OCD about the hair left on the floor, but even I could see, it was about giving the customer a good, time-sensitive experience All in all, it was a good experience. This is IT! THANK YOU Jinal for how many times you've saved me a trip to Patel Plaza for my brows care, or waiting to go on our base for my favorite threading salon on the East coast. Jinal rocks. Period. She's talented does amazing up dos bridal hair make up and threading. Ive also had other ladies thread and they've been consistent and careful as I want thick looking brows that don't have an unnaturally arched appearance. It's the best place to go to in Alpharetta, even if it means going across town in traffic. It's closer to the Johns Creek side of Alpharetta which can be annoying coming from Main St or Milton side, but totally worth the drive! read more

I've used Jinal's services before she opened her own salon and when she did I followed because she did a wonderful job in threading my eyebrows and waxing. My recent visit, Shazana did a great job with threading my eyebrows. I am very particular to how I want them to look and she made them look exactly how I wanted it to. She followed the natural shape of my brow and I didn't have to say how I wanted them. read more

I would not recommend this place for eyebrow threading unless you really enjoy the 90s pencil thin eyebrow look. I came here right before an international trip last-minute because I had forgotten to get them done at my usual spot. I asked the lady to please leave my brows a little fuller. Instead, my eyebrows basically disappeared. She did not listen to my request and she could see I was visibly disappointed. I am uploading a photograph of my eyebrows 2 days after getting them threaded at Sovi versus eight months later when I had gotten them back to a natural shape. The eyebrows on the left side of the picture was taken in Barcelona 2 days after Sovi. In the photo, I have filled them in to try and restore the shape- they looked even worse bare. As you can see, they are 1 thickness all the way through and incredibly thin. On the right, after they regrew, you can see how the thickness varies and they are much fuller at the bridge of the nose. I spent many months and many dollars of brow product trying to fix the damage. I learned my lesson and will not return for brow services. I can't speak to the rest of their services. read more

Just a quick update to let people know that the price for men's haircuts went from $9 to $12. Still not a terrible price, but it makes me want to check out Creative Hair Salon across the street. I've been told the price change isn't permanent - it will go back down to 9 again (it's a seasonal thing), but until then, there goes another star. Assuming the salon across the street doesn't have better prices, I'd still come here because of the awesomely convenient location. And hey, a liver lining in this (for my playbook) is that now I can pay with a card and not have stylists give me a hard time about it, since it's over $10. read more
