When ever I hear someone talking bad about a company, the doors are always open and maybe try going to another company rather than staying there and complain. That one review I read about allegedly getting paid late. I never really had an issue aside from some slight minor miscommunication here and there. Maybe because I turned in my time sheets in time and was in constant communication with management? Or maybe because I am not a sour employee who possibly got terminated for being incompetent and decided to make the company look bad? Who knows... I am now in law enforcement and I can say management was great at teaching me the basics, guiding me and showing me the ropes that I up to date use out on the field. I like how they value their employees as well and always felt like family when we'd see each other at the office.

Once we closed and moved in we were contacted by Smart Tech's service tech JP. JP came to our house for the "white glove" move-in service, which consisted of explaining all of the options that Smart Tech offers to the homeowners in this community, and to our surprise, a free Ring front gate camera and keyless entry system from the garage into the house. JP was so professional, courteous and knowledgeable that we decided to go with Smart Tech to install/mount all of our TV's, install a web mesh system, and install all of our audio/video systems. This was a pretty big project that included mounting 6 TV's, 3 web mesh locations throughout the house and 2 Dolby surround systems, as well as a audio sound system on the back patio. JP and Steve, also from Smart Tech, took care of this entire project in one day. Their work was impeccable! TV's were mounted perfectly and they left the work areas spotless. Both JP and Steve were professional, courteous, very friendly and super helpful explaining all of the info involved with all of the installation. I read most of the reviews here on Smart Tech prior to hiring them and noticed that most of the reviews were for security systems. I really felt it was important to add this review because they did such an exceptional job on our audio/video systems. I would recommend Smart Tech to anyone looking for this type of project. This used to be one of the best. They were all excited to get the contract. After they got the…read morecontract with the POT industry, services for the rest of us quickly declined. Patrols were not performed, we got no more reports, our doors were even left unlocked! This became a HUGE disappointment, as they really were great in the beginning. I would have rated them with 5 starts last year. However, now I am being generous by giving one. Over the last 6 months, residents have complained of excessive force and the rude attitude of the officers. It seems the POT contracts mean the rest of us have to suffer. Once they lose the POT industry, they will come back and beg us for their contracts back, but I, for one, will never use this company again. They contacted me via email (not even the guts to call or tell me face-to-face) on a Saturday, that they will be ending all patrol services on Monday! No 30-day notice, not even a week for us to find someone else. They basically said the POT industry demanded their time and those of us who had patrol services were just SOL. Forget that we had a contract with them. Forget we had paid them on-time for nearly 2 years. Forget they had not done their job in the past 6 months. Forget all that and just to drop us with an email on a Saturday night. When I signed a contract with this company, the owner was so excited. He visited and asked for the contract. he said he would work hard. He did. After about 9 months, I never saw him again. I would call and get no response. I emailed and was referred to "a new manager" who visited me on the Thursday before they cancelled contract on Saturday and he said NOTHING about cancelling the contract. Like he did not know on Thursday that they would cancel on Saturday? He tried to assure me things would get better and White Falcon would work hard, again. Well, he lied. They cancelled the contract 2 days later with a 48 hour notice (over a weekend). Unprofessional. Unethical. Unkind.

We ended up calling a licensed plumber that only charged us $500 and was able to take care of the problem on the spot and only took him 20 minutes. What kind of shady company is Desert Alarm??!! He then proceeded to hit on me asking me if I wanted to go have drinks with him! He asked for my phone number which I refused to give him and walked into my house, locked the doors.
