Awesome experience for the whole family. Had a large group with lots of kids. Ben Young is an amazing guide and was great with the kids. We did the 4 hour trip and was a blast. Lunch included at Serious Texas BBQ restaurant right on the river. Nothing bad to say about this company everyone had an amazing experience and highly recommend.

Had a great experience buying my rooftop tent from these guys. I ordered a 23Zero Walkabout from them last April and they helped me through it from start to finish! I must've called Troy 10 different times leading up to my arrival in Durango and every time he was knowledgeable, and patient with all my dumb questions. He also helped me pick out the right rack system to support the tent on my car, and performed the installation. I've used the tent numerous times now over the course of a 1,000 mile road trip to CA and have nothing but good things to say about the product and install. I can only speak to their knowledge of camping and outdoor accessories, but I'm sure all other aspects of their business are on point based on my experience. If you're wondering where to go for upgrades on your next adventure this is the place! Thanks again SW Raft & Jeep.

We did the early morning half day Jeep tour to La Plata Canyon on 9/27/26. We initially thought…read morethat this tour would be cancelled because we were the only couple that had signed up. We had been looking forward to doing this for many months! I'm happy to say that the great people at Mild to Wild allowed us to take the tour even though they really look to have at least four or more on these trips. We really appreciated their decision on this! Miles was our guide and I've got to say, we were so happy with his pleasant demeanor and wealth of knowledge about the area. Miles is a great guy and I consider us very lucky to have had him as our guide. We appreciated him taking a few photos of us as well. We lucked out with the weather because it was a clear day with crisp temps in the morning and warmer in the afternoon. The area had seen a lot of rainfall in the week before our arrival and so there were creeks and streams and waterfalls flowing all along our route to Kennebec Pass. This was the first off road experience for both my wife and I and we had a blast in the back of the jeep! A good portion of the dirt road is very rocky but it didn't bother us one bit. In fact, we were laughing a lot of the time. We loved the whole Durango area and this jeep trip was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. We even stayed in the back of the jeep for the trip back to the Mild to Wild headquarters once we left the dirt road. It was all just a great experience.

Fantastic free flowing white water rafting experience in the upper Animas river! I was expecting a…read morelittle more class IV rapids than what we had, but the experience was epic! We paddled through sun, rain, and hail, all in one trip! Epic, I tell u!! Our guides, Marcus and Robby were the best! Super cool dudes who were super knowledgeable! They kept us safe and made the experience such a blast! Colorado had the lowest snowfall this past winter so the river was really low and rapids were on the slow side. Make sure to check river flow and CSF levels if u decide to book this adventure so that u're not surprised by the low flow. The river only clocked in at 620 cfs when we ran it, so we didn't have too many big rapids and drops, but it was a very technical run and such a blast to experience this ultimate and wild experience with my hubby!!

Wilderness Journeys Pagosa - The tour guy (Ben) made our trip fun and was a great tour guide.

I have mixed feelings about this company as a Shuttle/A1 Taxi service. While my drivers were…read morefriendly and efficient, the fare was VERY expensive for what it is. For myself and partner to get a pick up from DUR airport to Pagosa Springs, it was $135-one way. We booked it weeks in advance in anticipation of Ubers being scarce. I knew it would be pricey but this seemed like the reliable option. The unfortunate part was two days before our flight into CO, Wilderness Journeys called to let us know there would be a surprise added fee of $15+ (each way) to get to where we were staying. I'm not sure why because it was a Pagosa Springs address--about 5 miles (6min drive) from town center, so I'm guessing they prefer to only drop off at the main hotels, though that wasn't mentioned when I booked the service. This increased our fare to $150 each way. If Wilderness Journeys has other passengers potentially going to the airport at the same time and you're willing to be picked up "up to 45min later," they offer to give you 20% off your fare. I opted for that to save some dough. Unfortunately the day before our trip to the airport, they told us we would have to be picked up earlier (not later) because they were picking up 3 more people. This meant we got to the airport much, much earlier than requested/planned. Another upsetting part is they only gave the 20% discount for part of our trip, not our full fare. It offset part of the hidden fee, I guess--but I still ended up paying nearly $300 for the RT shuttle service for 2. :( * Tip: Ubers from Durango to Pagosa are less than half the price and readily available, per the locals. In hindsight, I recommend ubering from Durango to Pagosa. I'd use that money saved I saved to booked the shuttle due to availability on the way from Pagosa to Durango, as it appears to be harder to reliably get an uber from PS to DUR. I would also not opt to save the $20 to share the shuttle.
