Not only they overcharged me due to their inadequate service, but they also did not give me the discount they had promised due to not being able to hold up their end of the contract by switching tritoons last minute and giving me an old unsafe one. Violation of laws: Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act (Texas Business & Commerce Code § 17.46): Misrepresentation of the tritoon's capabilities, forcing me to sign for a boat I never received, false promise of a discount, and improper billing. * Texas Parks & Wildlife Code § 31.111: Failure to disclose operational characteristics (speed limits, disabled switch, inoperable speedometer, nonfunctional lights). * Texas Parks & Wildlife Code § 31.064: Operating without required navigation lights after sunset. Also: Failure to Provide Timely Assistance (Unreasonable Risk to Passengers) * During the trip, the tow rope became tangled in the propeller. I called the marina at 6:25 PM for assistance. * I was told to use the disabled trim switch (which they knew did not work since they admitted to disabling it on all boats) * I called again at 6:55 PM and 7:05 PM, reporting that we were drifting in shallow water. * Assistance did not arrive until ~7:20 PM, the exact time my rental was scheduled to end. * We were finally freed at ~7:40 PM, leaving us exhausted, stranded, and unsafe for over an hour. Leaving a family stranded in shallow water -- after knowingly providing a tritoon with disabled controls and no speedometer -- constitutes a serious lapse in boating safety obligations.

So I said ok but I want it back in time for spring break. He said ok then Covid hit and I called him in April to see where he was at with my boat and he said he hasn't even Started and it's be 2 week! I said ok. So when 2 weeks came around I start calling and he refused to answer my calls and text completely. So I make the 45 min drive to him to figure out what is going on(now we are in may and summer months) he then proceeds to tell me that he does his big jobs on the winter months and it'll now it's summer and he is swamped with the time up and oil changes. So he then tells me that he will get to it the week and I will hear form him by the following week. So the following 2 weeks no calls or messages he just ghost me.i even text him and tell him I will pay him $500 more than the agreed price if he will have my boat done by June 15th. Eventually he calls me back and process to tell me that now I have a cracked block and I need a new engine and it will cost another $4000. So all the alarms start going off. When I brought him my boat it still would run but wouldn't get on a plane. So now he is telling me that after fixing the top portion of the boat I now need a new motor completely. I have lost all faith and trust with him. I start calling around and end up picking my boat up and taking it some place else. I would never send anyone to this bull crap place. He had my boat 1 year and did nothing. Now I'm paying some one else to fix what he said he did and put my boat back together. Beware go some where else to get your boat worked on!!

We were able to be picked up right form our lake front Air bnb, which made the whole experience easy and quick! The boat was spacious, clean, and had a cooler as well. Our captain, Ben, was accommodating, friendly, and made our trip great! He had a three person tube that was so much fun, plus floaties for when we went to hang out at a sandbar. We will be back for sure! Highly recommend booking with Make Time Boating!
