I hired Mark Ambrose to install two lights and relocate a ceiling fan in the ceiling of my…read morealumawood patio cover. He assured me he had worked with this product before and was confident he could do the job. When it rained, after his installation, water came pouring through the two holes where the light and ceiling fan work was done and the light shorted out and tripped the breaker. I sent Mark a text on august 8th, with a video showing the water coming though, and got no response. I called about a month later (we were on vacation) and he didn't answer but on September 18th he sent me the following text: "Good Morning Sir. I am currently in a psychiatric hospital and have been for a couple of months. I just got to see my phone. I will return your call when I am permitted to do so. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause". I then found the company who originally installed the patio cover and had a rep. come out to see if he can fix the problem caused by Mark. Mark had created two holes on top of the patio cover and ran a wire up one hole and down the other. He did not put the wire in conduit, leaving it exposed to the elements, and he did not even attempt to caulk the holes. I'm now having to bring in another electrician to correct Marks terrible work. In addition, Mark installed a 50 amp plug in my garage for my Tesla charging cord and now I am receiving a message indicating the wall plug temperature is high and I need to have the plug and the wiring inspected.

I would not recommend wasting your time here. On top of that after the parts went through inspection, all of them failed because these guys put their hangers exactly where I told them not to ... stay far away from these guys they just cost me a couple grand.

He put in a new plastic pan, new supports, and added some gradient to it so it drains faster. Did a great job, and didn't try to sell me on anything else. The second time was a renter who called complaining the unit was noisy and making a banging sound. This is an older AC unit, but it's a Trane and it's solid. I am pretty sure most HVAC outfits would have tried to tell me that it was just worn out and needed to be replaced. Rob went and looked at it, and the outside condenser was full of dog hair. His diagnoses was that it was making the unit run hotter than normal and raising the internal pressure at the compressor, resulting in the banging sound when it shut down. He cleaned it thoroughly, tested it, sent me pics, and his bill was super reasonable. He's been trustworthy, fast, and done great work.

They were able to do the repair the same day and it was a reasonable price. BUT I give them 5 stars BECAUSE I just had another problem with it again for a different issue and he gave me a reason why he thought it was not working and to check myself. I did and it did seem to be the problem but I had a question so I call again and he explained again and help me out. I was able to fix and not expend one dime and do it the same day (again no food going bad). He seems like a no-nonsense person and would not call him chatty at all but definitely friendly and happy to help. I don't know if that is what bothers others but I think they will do a great job if you know what you need.
