I have rented mountain bikes from Southwest bikes in the past, so when I finally decided to purchase one, I knew I wanted to come here. Dan was so helpful and had my husband and I try different bikes and ride them in the parking lot. They have a variety of mountain bikes and other gear as well as tune up service. They have different price ranges depending on what you're looking for, and they made sure we felt confident in our purchase. Review #25 of 2024 July 1st Visit 1000 hours I recently got my hands on the latest model Catrike Max from a, locally owned small business. The process was quick, with a short wait from ordering to picking it up. After getting all my adjustments done, adding new pedals, and taking it for a few test spins, I finally took it home. A big thank you goes out to all the staff, especially Dan, for their patience and thorough setup. My take: definitely drop by this business for any bike parts, great prices and excellent service. What a great place. Staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I took two bikes there that had been donated so they could be given to some teens in need of transportation. The staff inspected them, gave me a fair price and scheduled the repairs. The bikes were done before the promised date and they looked like new! Just such a personable local shop. Happy to have found it! read more

Very honest and friendly. After I took my e-bike to another shop that said it wasn't worth fixing, they fixed it in a day and it was very inexpensive. They also helped me load it into my car when I was struggling. I will definitely send them business in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy bike shop. read more

Went there to get a spacer for my ebike handle bar. Old man took my bike, loosened the handle bars more and then told me they did not have the parts! He handed me my bike and told me he doesn't have time and I should take my bike back to where I purchased it. He was rude and condescending. Not going here ever again. Went to BikeWorld on Rainbow. They fixed my bike and I purchased a new seat and seat cover. read more

This was my 2nd time renting from Southwest Bikes. I got the 2023 Bianchi Infinito XE Rival AXS Disc and it was an excellent ride to the Red Rock Canyon loop. Southwest was happy to put on my pedals and seat before the ride, and quickly took them off and returned them at the end, no fuss no muss. The bike performed well with no problems, and since I was only riding for 1 day, it was cheaper (and easier) than carting my bike bag at $50 each way on the plane. Plus I got to run around on the Bianchi Infinito, which is slightly more aggressive than my Trek Domane. The people in the store are helpful and interested in making your ride go well, providing both directions and guidance. And being close to the new bike path outside of the beltway is a BIG plus. My instructions to Red Rock Canyon were as simple as "go across the highway to the bike path, turn left, then turn right on West Charleston when you get to it." The hardest part was the elevation gain, but that made the downhill ride back much easier, even with the headwind. I'll be back at Southwest Bikes the next time I need a bike in Las Vegas, for sure. read more

Solid selection across the board. Seems to be one of the few shops where if it's for 2 wheels they either have it or can get it in quick.

I have been coming to this Bike Shop for many years.  The staff are always pleasant, helpful, and informative.  Today I took my bike to them because a new tire went flat after 6 days.  Ryan looked at the tube, the tire, and the wheel. The problem, he said, was that the wheel needed new rim tape.  And, just like that, for $0, my bike is once-again ready for the road.  Thanks to Ryan and to everyone else at this shop.  Great place, great prices, great service. read more

Unhelpful, rude and dismissive. Walked in to look at mountain bikes, I was the only customer in the store. The lone employee barely noticed it was there until I finally asked about their selection of bikes that WEREN'T $3,000. The employee blew me off with a comment about how their bikes basically start at $2700 or so. I asked if they sold any pre-owned models and was told "no". That's it. Just one word. So... if you're not prepared to go in and drop a few thousand bucks, basically this place doesn't even care to speak to you. read more

I wish I could do 0 stars. This place is TERRIBLE. I came in to get my bike fixed and the guy gave me a quote. This guy looked at it and was for sure that it was a certain part. Next thin I get a call later to pick up my bike and it's double what the original quote was. I asked him what happened and he said "we'll it needs a different one. " I told him well why didn't you guys give me a call if it was going to be more. They didn't even try to be nice when they were in the wrong. Terrible service and manager. Bought my daughter's brand new bike on offerup and one of the tires wouldn't stay inflated. They said the tire was missing a tube(?) and wasn't set up right. It was super busy with customers but they fixed the tire and the entire bike reset for only the tube replacement cost of $15. It was a quick fix so just fixed it right then and there instead of making us wait. Amazing service! We will be back for anything bike related. Thank you! read more

deserves no stars. Drove about 15 mins to this place to grab some brake stuff and the moment they asked what brakes I had and I told them I had a Surron they shuned me from any questions even told me your in a bike shop.... okay a Surron has two wheels just like a bike and runs all mtb parts so when I try to purchase these parts as I shouldn't have due to the disrespect I got they tell me I'm wasting my money. the only difference from mtb is pedals to foot pegs on a Surron. so maybe change your website that says e-bike services and sales of e bikes you hypocrites read more
