We had SO MUCH FUN on our self-guided ride of red rock. We are locals and have been considering purchasing our own e-bikes so we've been renting them to help make the decision. We decided to do the Red Rock ride as it's a great length (about 22 miles) and the weather is amazing this time of year. I researched a few rental companies in LV and EZ Ride LV got great ratings. I reached out to them and rented bikes for a Saturday morning ride. They answered all of our questions and confirmed our rental. Kinda weird how we ended up in Vegas...we were supposed to be in Cabo MX. We aren't gamblers. We love nature, the sun and a little adrenaline which is how our little group found our way to EZ Ride Las Vegas. We wanted to see Red Rock Canyon without hiking. Tanya and her son, Steven, own and operate EZ Ride LV. According to Steven, they started this business about 3 years ago and own about 15 electric bikes. Rather than book my boyfriend and I online, I called. I'm full of questions. How far, how long, can ya get lost, is it safe? Do you pick up at our hotel? Tanya was easy and accommodating. 22 miles, round trip. About 3.5 hours. No. Yes. Yes. I booked us. Then, a few hours later I learned my son was making a surprise visit from LA, so I booked him, using the online form. A waiver is signed. If you die, EZ Ride is not responsible, typical waiver. Your height is necessary for making sure a correct bike fit happens. Tanya confirms by text and email and BOOM! Steven meets us at the hotel where we are staying the morning of the trip. We drive to a park where we are briefed by Steven on the bikes, safety rules and map of the route. I'm 5ft tall, 63 years old. I was a little nervous, as it's been a while since I've ridden a bike and I've never been on an electric one. My bike was just a tad too tall, I struggled a bit to get off and on and towards the end I was tired and more nervous. Breaking a hip became the joke of the day. Lo and behold, I did not break a hip. First and foremost, don't let the "electric" of EZ fool you. You have to pedal. It's not like a scooter. The motor gives you a good boost, but you get a great workout! From the park, it's a straight shot, about 2 miles to the entrance into Red Rock Canyon. What a BEAUTIFUL way to experience the loop through the park. Ups and downs, lots of winding roads, plenty of breathtaking views from the numerous pull offs along the route. This day, there seemed to be very few cars on the loop, so we felt like we had the run of the road. We pedaled and motored to the end and when we arrived to the meeting place, Steven was waiting. We climbed into the truck and headed back to the hotel. Along the way, Steven even asked if there was anywhere else we wanted to go. Tanya did a great job of explaining the operation and safety of using the bikes. We had a fun ride stopping along the scenic route to enjoy the sites. My brother and I love bike tours, and book them whenever we travel. Not being gamblers, drinkers, or club people, we wanted to experience a different side of Las Vegas. The promotional information regarding the self-guided tour was something that peeked our curiosity and would fulfill that outdoor activity we were looking for. The booking process was one of the best I've ever experienced. The website is user friendly and easy to navigate. I was impressed at how quickly I received my detailed confirmation information, and a personal text from the owner (Tanya). Every question I could think of was answered, and then some. Tanya was extremely thorough with directions, and meeting locations. You have choices if you'd like to be picked up at your hotel, or meet the guide at a designated location. We decided to drive to Summerlin and meet at the predetermined location. It was a short 20 minute drive from out Vegas Strip hotel. Steven our guide was there waiting for our arrival. We boarded his vehicle for a quick 2 minute drive to the training location. Prior to unleashing you on your own, Steven provided a very thorough breakdown of the operating system of the electric bike. He explained each aspect of the bike in detail. There is absolutely no way you will leave the training location unprepared. We took some time to get comfortable with the bikes, and were allowed to practice in a very large park. It was nice because there wasn't any traffic or distractions while the practice session took place. Once we felt comfortable and Steven was confident we could handle the e-bikes, he lead us to the starting point. We were provided maps, but prior to departing, Steven made sure we understood the different locations, and the path of travel we were to take. Armed with our maps, and complementary bottles of water and granola bars, we were off and on our way. If you're an outdoor person, you will love the ride, the scenery is breathtaking! The electric bikes make the ride truly enjoyable, and allows you to take in the beauty around you. There are several photo locations throughout the park to get that perfect picture. These are not fully motorized bikes, but rather electric assist. You will still put in some work, but nothing near what you would do on a regular geared bike. We weee able to get in a great workout even with the electric assist. Help is a phone call away. My brother's bike began to experience loss of power about 3/4 of the way through the ride. We phoned Tanya, and Steven was right there within 10 minutes with a new bike. We finished the ride strong because support from the team was fast and efficient. We took the ride in mid January, and it was 39 degrees at the start of our ride. I would suggest a warm jacket and gloves, especially when you begin to descend down the mountain. We were prepared, and never suffered from the cool temperature. This is a family business, and they are a wonderful team. They are organized, attentive, and caring. The roads that you ride on all have a designated bike lane, or the road in the park is one way, but wide enough for two lanes I never felt like the cars were close to me. What a great way to experience Red Rock Canyon. Novice rider to experienced cyclist can enjoy this sightseeing trip! I road bike and this was my first ebike experience. I did not use the electric assist much, but it was fun to try it out! The first part does go on a bike path on a busy road, so everyone needs to be able to ride well enough to stay in the bike lane with vehicle traffic in the adjacent lane. Once you enter the park there was very little traffic and plenty of beautiful scenic spots! Bike racks and bathroom facilities (some primitive) at the stops. Sunscreen is a must! This was the highlight of our trip to Vegas. We choose the sunrise bike ride to avoid the heat. Tanya met us close to the park, gave us instructions, fitted us with helmets and gave us info about the park along with a map, both printed and texted to our phone. Each bike had 3 cold bottles of water and a granola bar packed in a small bag on the handle bar. This bag had a map pocket that was perfect to hold our phones. We rode 24 miles in a little over 2 hours and were back to our vehicle before the heat of the day. Everything went perfectly. Our bikes performed flawlessly. The power assist made all the difference. My wife and I are in our early 60s and we were concerned how we would do, not having ridden bikes in years, even decades in the case of my wife. Other than a bit of a sore butt, I was amazed at how good I felt afterwards. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone in at least fair physical condition. This was the highlight of my Vegas trip with my daughter. I'm definitely going to do this again. I was concerned that it might be too hot in the middle of July, but we left at 8am and were back just after 10am, before it got too hot. Also, Tanya provided plenty of cold water and a snack to keep us hydrated and energized. It felt a little precarious on the 2 mile ride to and from the park entrance with cars zipping by, however I'm used to riding bikes on busy streets so your mileage may vary. Once in the park, the roads are 1-way and there's a 15 mph speed limit for cars, so it was very safe. Tanya runs a tight ship and left nothing to surprise. We rented bikes from EZ Bike rental and honestly it couldn't have been any eazier. We rented them for the Red Rock Loop over a month ago. One of the owners, Tanya picked us up at the meeting location and then took us for a quick review of the bike operation with test run. I was super cautious at first as I haven't ridden in maybe 30 years. She took the time and made sure we felt good about them before she pointed us towards the route entrance. We met back at the meetup spot & by the end I knew I was hooked! The weather was so gorgeous. And you truly do get to see more while on a bike than in a car. Such a much better experience. Fast forward now we are all home bound due to COVID-19. And I reached back out to Tanya and put out there to see if they'd let us rent them to ride around home. All exercise places are closed and right now this is such a refreshing and fun way to exercise. They were overly helpful and even brought them in a delivery to our house. All wiped down and cleaned. 04/17/2021 What better way to see the Red Rock Canyon scenic self tour with an Ebike. Got to our destination ...Tanya and her husband gave us a quick info and instructions on the Ebike. Very easy to operate. They provided 2 water bottles with a snack. Also, helmets are a must wear. They also provide jackets if you don't have one because it can get a little chilly. Anyhow, map was provided and entrance fee is included in the tour. We had an amazing time. Although, we had a few problems with our bikes...chains were coming off but easy fix and our brakes weren't working in one of the bikes at the very end of our route and the other bike, the foot stand broke off. Despite of it all, when contacting Tanya...she answered all of our calls right away and her husband was very attentive and we were able to trade one of the bikes. Due to that, I feel they do deserve 5 stars because they placed their riders first when it comes to safety. We very much enjoyed our day out. I really recommend this tour. Highly recommend! We're a family of four who enjoy biking when we're on vacation, and this delivered that and more. We were interested in the self-guided option with no pickup, which is what we got! It was a last minute decision and they were able to accommodate us, so that we were off and riding just a couple hours after my call. Tanya was very helpful and communicative. Her son Steven was friendly, met us at the meetup point with the bikes just 3 miles away from the park entrance, helped us set up our bikes, and off we went. The bikes were in top shape and we took advantage of the pedal assist, but the ride wasn't as strenuous as expected. So if you're on the fence or concerned, you should go for it! The area was beautiful to explore on a blue sky, sunny February day. All in all, we rode about 2.5 hours with several shorts stops. Steven was at the pickup point less than a minute after we arrived, without us needing to update them at all, thanks to the GPS tracker on the bikes. read more

This is a class act all around. Pick-up at the hotel was timely. The bikes were well prepared and maintained. The owner was personable and had everything well thought out and organized. What a great family activity! Not for small children but AWESOME for the 18 and up crowd. I went with my 18 and 22 year old and we spent several hours exploring Red Rock Canyon. The motorized bikes really make it easy for friends or family members with different fitness levels to have a great time together. The owners, Laurent and his wife, gave us a tutorial and ensured that we were safe and comfortable before setting out on our own. They provide all the safety equipment...even bottles of water.
