On a road trip with my son from AZ to WA and walked in to Fazzari's Finest Pizza from the hotel…read morenext door. My son's friend met us here and none of us had ever been to a Fazzari's...but it came highly recommended. The interior is large and they have a lot of long community tables. This place must seat over 100 people. This place has a traditional pizza parlor feel where you order at the counter and they call out your number to come up for your drinks and pizza. There were some quite interesting specialty pizzas on the menu, like the Shotsy (mustard sauce, onions, sauerkraut) and Friday (black olives, mushrooms, shrimp). We ended up ordering a half Hawaiian, half Bantam (Ham, Linguica, Mushroom). We also ordered drinks (which don't have free refills...is it 1984 again?). There's a window where you can watch the pizzas be made, and there's a half block so the kids can stand tall and watch. I noticed as the workers are making the pizzas that all the toppings go right to the edge, including the sauce. Yep, when it was time to pick up our pizza there's basically no crust, so I got sauce on my fingers just trying to hold up my pizza. The pizza crust itself was not good...it tasted like cardboard and I think it was just there to support the toppings. They do pile up the toppings, but toppings by themselves with poor structure doesn't make a good pizza IMO. The toppings weren't special either...was hoping the linguica had a little spice or taste but it was completely bland. The ham didn't crisp up either so it was just flat and soggy. Overall the pizza was disappointing, but I could see why this is a popular place for families.

The sauce had a bright fresh taste which perfectly complimented the pretzel. We ordered the "On the Veg of your seat" pizza which was sauce, cheese, sautéed sweet mild onion, bell pepper, black olive, and mushrooms. The crust was thin and crispy and golden brown. We enjoyed the crunch of the crust and there was the optimal amount of cheese. But enough of the pizza, let's talk PASTRY! We got the banana vanilla cupcake. Start with a yummy banana cupcake, add a banana cream pudding core, and top it off with an incredibly smooth vanilla icing and a vanilla wafer on top. My goodness. It was GOOD! This is going to be a regular stop from now on!

My spouse's order was slightly different, with bacon and a waffle, but according to her review, it was equally well done. It was obvious that the staff loved what they're doing.
