Extremely Disappointed With Southside Nissan Vancouver & Nissan Canada I went to Southside Nissan in Vancouver to repair my AC. They "fixed" it, but the AC broke again shortly after. I went back more than four times for the same issue. Even though they didn't charge me for the last two visits, I still spent a lot of time, fuel, and effort, and no one compensated me for that. A proper repair should not require this many visits. I trusted the dealership because I believed Nissan dealerships have trained professional technicians who do proper work. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After moving to Regina, SK, my AC stopped working again. Regina Nissan inspected the system and informed me that Southside Nissan used silicone to cover the AC leak, which should never be done in a professional AC repair. They fixed the issue properly, and the AC started working again. Southside Nissan initially told me they would refund what Regina Nissan charged, and I agreed. But after that, they completely stopped replying to my emails. I also contacted Nissan Canada Customer Service, and the experience was extremely disappointing: Some representatives cut the call. Some told me Nissan Canada is not responsible for dealership repairs. They kept telling me to deal directly with the dealership, even though I went to a Nissan dealership because I expected professional service under the Nissan brand. Later, while on vacation in Manitoba, my AC failed again during a long weekend. I had to go to a local shop (a NAPA-authorized technician) and pay over $2,000 to finally get a proper repair done. One more concern: At one visit, Southside Nissan told me I needed to replace my brakes, but on another visit they told me the brakes were good. This inconsistency makes it very hard to trust their repair recommendations. Be careful when they recommend repairs -- always get a second opinion. After many calls, Nissan Canada said Southside Nissan would offer only a $500 credit, meaning I would have to return to the same dealership whose work caused all these problems. I refused -- I want a refund for the money I spent on their faulty work, not credit. The Nissan Canada supervisor also said they are not responsible for dealership mistakes, even though they acknowledged silicone was used, which clearly proves the repair was not done professionally. I have been a loyal Nissan and Infiniti customer for many years, but after this experience, I am done with Nissan. If you are considering buying a Nissan or getting service from their dealerships, please be careful. My experience with Southside Nissan Vancouver and Nissan Canada has been extremely frustrating, costly, and disappointing. read more

Made sure I waited two weeks before writing this review, so that it's not all based on emotions. Came to South Side Nissan because my car, a 2020 Sentra SV, had battery problems. It's only the third year of the car, and it's already having a dead battery. I was moving houses so it was incredibly bad timing. The worst ever. Probably had 12 boxes in my car. The exact same battery problem happened to my 2015 Sentra SV in its third year! Absolutely ridiculous. It just needed a new battery. After much trouble, I brought my dead car into the service department and told them the problem. They didn't believe me it was a battery problem. My car is eligible for a battery warranty, but they needed to test it. They ran a battery test and they said it didn't fail the test. I told them it was going to die again and I just need a reliable car, but they just wanted to save money and not replace. Anyways they still didn't listen and simply charged the battery. Two weeks later, the battery died on me and I was in the middle of a big project. Extremely terrible situation. Had to tow the car a SECOND time. This time it failed their battery test (oh wow two weeks must have changed alot) and then they replaced the battery. Yup, terrible service people. Haven't even mentioned how much they scratched my black car with their shoddy car wash team. Scratches and swirls everywhere. Disgusting shampoo residue in areas not rinsed. Hard water spotting. Bringing my car to Applewood Nissan instead. My last Nissan car for sure. read more

Brought my 2012 Nissan Maxima to Southside on May 16, 2023, to have them program an after market key fob. 1.5 hours later I was told the fob could not be programed, fine. Another hour later they tell me that they can not reprogram my original factory Nissan fob, and that they have disconnected the battery and have to have my car over night, not so fine. This morning, they call to say my car is done, that the reprograming was an issue with a fuse, but they still could not program the after market fob, fine. Walk 2.8km to Southside, the guy tells me stuff I was already told on the phone, then tells me it is $179.20 to not do what I had originally brought the car in for. Not fine at all. He explained that I had to pay for the the time that was spent on the car. So let me see, Southside did an inspection of the car, which was not needed, nor did I ask for, Southside, washed the car, which was not needed, nor did I ask for. Southside did not/could not program the fob that I brought in, which is what I asked for and needed. They wasted 2.5 hours of my time, which I guess to Southside is worth nothing, and left me without a car for half a day. Southside Nissan will not see any future business from me. read more

Absolute scammers. Bought a used car, noticed that same day there was an awful smell. I brought it back and they said they would have an external company do an "ozone treatment" and go through the entire car. When I got it back, the smell was still there. I checked the air filter myself and found a giant rat nest, dead bodies and all. They couldn't even be bothered to check the air filter? They took the car back, and gave me a loaner. It turned out that the entire electrical system needed to be replaced, as all the wires had been chewed throughout. They accused ME of having the rat problem (in 12 hours?) and made me go through my insurance to have it repaired. Absolutely refused to let me return it. Anybody smell a rat? read more

Just purchased a vehicle from this location. Fair trade in as far as trade ins go. Michael and James were my sales guys. Fairly easy to work with. Katie the business manager was great as well. She worked hard to get me a better rate than my last loan. The only thing that left a bad taste was that I had no idea my car was a demo. I was told it was returned shortly after purchase but when I read the fine print, it was a demo. Not that big a deal but definitely something that could have been communicated. The best Nissan service experience I've had - heads and shoulders over every experience in comparison to the branch in North Vancouver. Reception staff was lovely, not pushy or impatient. Service reception person was super helpful, accommodating, non-condescending and generally provided a well-rounded positive experience. I arrived early for my appointment and they didn't make a big deal about "how they would try to accommodate", they just said pretty much said sure, we'll do our best and let you know when it's ready. My car was returned with with service complete in good time, actually washed (unlike the other place that made excuses), and the person I dealt with was cheerful, non-condescending and made my experience very pleasant. This Nissan dealership is a bit more greasy than your typical new car dealer in Vancouver. There are only two Nissan dealers in the City of Vancouver, so that might be why they're acting this way. Back in late 2015, we were looking for a Nissan Rogue. The moment you walk in, you'll notice the reps are dressed provocatively. I guess they expect you to be gouged while you're not paying attention. One of the senior female sales reps took us in and drew up a quote. Immediately, they weren't honest about their inventory and made no attempts to look for 2015 inventory with other dealers. The rep tried to steer us towards a 2016 model as it was something they had on the lot. More importantly though, the sales rep tacked on several hundred dollars for nitrogen fill for the tires, etching, undercoating, and other useless items. The rep obviously had her sales pitch about why tires *need* nitrogen and how Vancouver weather *needs* undercoating (LOL). Anyway, we walked out of there without further discussion. If they were going to treat us like fools, then this short relationship is already as wide as a gulf. Today, Global News BC had a story about a customer who paid a $1,000 deposit but had no car. Clearly, Southside Nissan sold it to the next highest bidder. BEWARE OF UPSELL! I own an electric vehicle. All i needed was battery health check but Shaun Hussain sold me oil change, antifreeze, brake washing.... I usually pay under $300. DO NOT let Shaun attend you. DO NOT!! He is all about sales. My car was there for an hour and no parts were replaced. oil and antifreeze cost me that much. For an hour, labour was around $800. Buy a Tesla. They won't sell you an oil change. He told me that my brakes need to be flushed and erased that cost me over $193 in labour. I had my brakes checked 2 weeks ago. They were perfect. In an hour, they checked the battery. When I called the Manager said, Madam, you didn't come here. You went somewhere else. Thieves. They wanted more money from me to do more tests. For $905 they didn't do all the test. They needed to do more tests to fix my car. My car has more problems. Never again. The idea was that we'd go in, meet the sales rep that had previously been very professional and had helped identify a specific model that he liked. I was to sit there, quietly and look over the paperwork to determine if it made sense (I work in banking). There had been 3 previous interactions with the sales rep and my friend, as I was not sitting in on the conversations, I will not speak to the quality of discussion by my friend was satisfied up until our arrival at the dealership. Expecting to drive a new vehicle home, we took a Car2Go down to the dealership around 6 PM and parked a few blocks up. We were greeted very warmly by name (great practice in sales - names and all - "wow", i'm thinking, "this is not as movies depict the car-buying experience"). Henry, a nicely dressed rep walks us into the back room, serves us up a nice coffee and spits off a few well-rehearsed lines making us feel at ease. He scurries off to send off another couple apparently not as far along in the buying process - they leave emptyhanded. As we walk back out to the showroom, Henry hands us the keys to the vehicle so that we might check everything over one last time as he prints up the leasing agreement. Everything's in check, let's finance this thing! We sit down at the small desk in the corner has Henry begins highlighting the important parts of the document - interest rate, term, residual etc. He then flips the paper over to us and immediately something is not right. "Whoa now, this is not at all what we discussed twice on the phone" "This is exaclty what we discussed on the phone" replies Henry in a very matter-of-fact kind of way. Now I'm sitting here quietly because I have seen this many times before - the painful unravelling of a deal based on the slimey and slick words of a commission-based salesman. "No, Henry, it's not. The price you quoted me on the phone on two separate occasions is $75.00/month cheaper than what is on this paper here." 0 seconds of hesitation "If you CAN'T do the deal, don't do it, NO HARM NO FOUL" as he says this he is STANDING UP AND PUTTING ON HIS COAT AS IF TO LEAVE. Now, those who know me know that I am very outspoken. I have worked the sales industry for years, and I'm quick at talking my way through a service issue. Here, I had nothing to say, I was shocked at the immediate defensive stance of the sales rep, and the blatent-in-our-face rudeness that came as soon as the idea of a firm deal became washy. "Henry, I called you twice, to ask you specifically about the cost per month because I have done my research and your deal was the best. You quoted me a price 'taxes - in' $75/mo cheaper than this. There is certainly both harm and foul here, you lied to me twice about the price to coax me down here tonight, you've taken my time and now wasted it" "I would never quote a rate with taxes in, no one does that" "Henry, why would I come down here if I was unsure of the price and wasn't happy with it? I called twice, yesterday and this afternoon and your quote - you said - was solid, with taxes in" "Look, I dont know what you want from me, this is the deal, take it or not. Don't get mad at me, these are the numbers" Further to these ridiculously cold and unprofessional comments, Henry went on to say "What do you want? An apology for taking your time?" in a harshly sarcastic tone. Again, all while preparing to leave the dealership for the evening. To Henry directly: I am stunned by the defensive position you took. You were unprofessional, you did not show integrity in the sales process and when your sister dealership in Richmond has to apologize on your behalf, you look childish and unworthy of your role. To Nissan: Henry - though I'm sure an excellent sales rep - grossly misrepresented your brand. I will NOT be dealing with your company despite the fact that this interaction had nothing to do with me. Richard, from your Richmond dealership was extremely professional, and he is closing the lease on the EXACT same vehicle tonight. I just brought a used vehicle from them last week, and loved the sales persons' service! Walking in, I didn't expect much as I only have a limited budget and was looking for used vehicle, but Rossana not only greeted me with enthusiasm, and she was also very knowledge in helping me narrow down the type of vehicle I can afford without that feeling of being looked down at. I can feel she was genuinely trying to help me find the right car. After the initial visit there, I went to the Richmond Auto mall and visited Toyota/Honda/Smart Cars and the Mitsubishi across from Costco, and absolutely no other sales person were as good as her. I have been coming here for the past year and half and have had five star service from Eric in the service department. They do go above and beyond. But today was so frustrating and stressful. I called about my fan in the Nissan Leaf not functioning. John was very nice over the phone and said he could get me in even though they were busy. I was pleasantly pleased with this. But when I got there he said I have to do a diagnostic and would cost 140. Then the part with labour would be 600. This sounded a bit much. But I thought Nissan has always been honest in the past so I did it. As I was waiting I researched the prices online and even watched people change it themselves. It does not take 3 hours plus diagnostics(which is a scam). Non mechanics were doing themselves in half hour. I even called north Nissan and a local garage near my place ...the price for the fan was way cheaper plus they quoted me a lot less for labour at the other places. In the end I did complain about the cost I got a measly 68$ off(not even part of the taxes). Still way too expensive at 700 for a fan. I am infuriated and feel very cheated by a place that I thought was very honest before. When I left obviously upset, all I got was "well at least your fan works" ... will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This dealership is a joke. Very unprofessional, and they lie on the phone. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, despite multiple reviews I read about them online. My experience is that I ordered a part for my 2013 Nissan Rogue, and specifically told them on multiple occasions to give me a call when the part arrives so I can make an appointment for them to fix it for me. Easy right? Well almost 2 weeks has past, so today I decided to call and ask if my part has finally arrived and if not how long it would take because I would like this thing on my car to be fixed. The bastard parts rep checks and has the audacity to lie to my face and say that they attempted to call me multiple times but it went to "busy" First of all, it NEVER goes to "busy," if anything it goes goes to voicemail, and I had none left from Nissan. Secondly, why the hell do you have to lie? I could have overlooked the whole situation had you just said "it arrived last week, sorry we forgot to give you a call, would you like to make an appointment o have us replace the part on your vehicle?" But no, you lied, and tried to make me look like the fool. I'm sorry, I forgot, are you the customer or am I? Yeah, I was going to purchase the part and have you guys fix it for me, but forget it. But the service here at Southside is beyond pitiful. This place's service department takes customer service to a new low. So by all means, buy a car here (we have twice). Dealt with the dealer on a used Rogue online because of distance between us. Ended up paying for a flight to go see vehicle which 2 hours before flight i was told info was wrong and it was not the model in the add. Arrived at dealer ship and found the vehicle parked against back fence in behind other cars. Rep brought it out and opened back lid only to find at my amazement the whole back door on the inside was damaged ie cracked from top to bottom and a hole at bottom. Rep replied he didn't know. then found a spec sheet on back seat covering a large stain. Vehicle was a discrace compared to way it was advertised. Cost over 400 dollars airfare to find out this dealership is a sham. They should be embarrassed at their tactics. Nissan you get a big 0 from me and i will never step foot on another Nissan lot. The only decent experience was the sales agent. As soon as I went to the finance part it just got worse. As the finance person tried to sell me on anything extended warranty. And seemed offended when I rejected all the warranties, and everything was just awkward after that. Few months later my car starts making funny noises, so I take it in to get it checked out. Apparently my wheel bearings need to be changed, my breaks need to be greased, some a steering wheel cover needed to be changed. As I was looking into this I had got my oil changed and where they claim my tires were rotated (they weren't cause I have curb damage on one wheel). I called out the service person, and tagged the GM in the email. He tells me my that my tires have been rotated, and they only rotate front to back. Well thanks, I think I get the point of tire rotations, but that tire was in the exact same spot as before. At this point I have given up on this place, and still feel they didn't do their job, as the noise is still there, and now a check tire maintenance light has come on. It is not often I give a one star review. In fact, I almost always try to find some positive points to counter balance negative points in a business. However, after going to the service department at Southside Nissan on 3 occasions and having poor service every time, I feel the low ranking is justified. This review is just for the service side, not the sales side portion of Southside Nissan. Since I typically work Monday to Friday, I was at first content the Southside Nissan is open at 8am and also on Saturdays so I can drop my car off before going to work or when on a day I have off. However, I have come to find out the staff that work at these times must really be unhappy with their jobs. All the times I've gone in the morning or weekend, the staff have been not attentive and less than cheery. I do realize that it's early or on a weekend, but I am still providing business to their shop when there are several other Nissan service locations in the lower mainland. On my latest visit, 3 people sat behind the counter and left me standing for several minutes with nobody else around. I finally decided to be more forward about getting some attention by saying "Good morning" to which I received a response of "what are you here for?". I proceeded to explain I had an appointment for 8am as the staff when I called said that was the only time available (even when I called more than 2 weeks in advance). Fortunately I was in the system. I then ask and showed, I received an email 3 weeks ago saying I would receive a free oil change this visit since I've come 2 other times, should I tell you that now or at the billing? The reply I received was "oh you didn't print it out, nope there's nothing we can do". When I booked my appointment, the staff said no problem about the offer and made no mention of having to print it out. Also, nowhere on the email was there text saying the email must be printed. I then found out my necessary service I was having was simply an oil change. To me this is dirty pool. I was under the impression I was needing a larger service from when I scheduled the appointment and then they wouldn't honour a offer they gave. If they had informed me it was just an oil change, I probably would have gone elsewhere to save some money. To add to things, even though I brought my car in on a Saturday at 8am, it took nearly 20 min for them to take my car in and almost 1.5 hours to do the oil change. For me, having an extra 20 to 30 min to sleep in on one of my days off instead of waiting idle, would have been greatly appreciated. On my other two service visits, the staff were also unfriendly and a bit disorganized (as they had to look in different places for my appointment and didn't tell me what was going to be done in my scheduled service). On my first visit they lost my request for a loaner car or ride. This was frustrating, but fortunately, a co-worker was able to stop by and pick me up on the way to work. The second visit, took more than 3.5 hours on my car when they initially said only 2 hours max were needed. Even with the extra time, there were no extra services performed than originally conveyed. On this note, all my visits they have always found several things that are highly recommended, but aren't mandatory. I am fortunate enough to have two mechanic friends that I am able to chat with then after my service visits and 80% of the recommendations they both have said could be ok, but they would certainly not say highly recommend. Overall, in 3 separate occasions I've had less than friendly service, there's been a significant problem/inconvenience, and there's been highly recommended work that isn't as pressing as it's made out to be. As a result, unless I hear otherwise from others that things have changed, Southside Nissan has done something few businesses have ever done for me, it has made me look elsewhere for vehicle service. read more

After a few minutes of looking at the cars in the lot, we were met by Kenson, a very professional sales rep. He was keen and knowledgeable about the Nissan line and very good at answering the assortment of questions we had. He was a careful listener, and very fair at working the middle ground between the needs of the dealership and the wishes of the client. If you are shopping around in todays tough retail market, I strongly recommend Kenson at Southside Nissan, as the sales consultant to talk to. UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE. GOOD AT MAKING CUSTOMERS UNHAPPY. Don't waste your time at Southside Nissan unless you want to be unfairly blamed for everything that goes wrong with a used car purchase that took more hours than necessary. I was told before the purchase I would have a backup camera (that was advertised) that would function properly and it doesn't. It is cloudy and I was told by the sales rep (it took 3 of them to sell the car: Ricky and Kevin and another) that it would be taken care of, wiped,and fixed and the manager now says it won't be. I was not told the truth. Oh, if we bought a warranty, according to Rosie, one of the managers, trying to make me feel bad and tested my patience, they would have. But they sold a car advertised with a backup camera that is supposed to work properly. It doesn't work properly, though. No one would buy a vehicle with a backup camera like that. It took more than 3 weeks to get an appointment after the car was purchased to get it in for service only to be told that the backup camera is working (not in a satisfactory manner)....They went to great lengths to sell a car and they don't want to sell it as advertised (with a backup camera that works properly) because it doesn't work properly unless you call cloudiness in the lens, brightness in the lens and just grid lines with no vision proper. Also, being told personal attacks about how unprofessional the customer is, in this case...my elderly father and his sense of humor...that was TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE to try to dissway me from doing the right thing to get the dealer to get the backup camera to work properly. There was also the key lock and ignition button that had issues but seem to have been taken care of, for now, so that's appreciated In summary, I was told I didn't buy a warranty to have a backup camera fixed although it was sold like that and that my father was inappropriate....all as excuses not to fix it by the dealer. Apparently, it's safe and the customer should be happy to use a faulty backup camera that you can't see properly out of. They did offer $100 credit but that's not satisfactory. I acknowledge it took a lot of hours to do the paperwork on an evening but that's due to financing and insurance. And don't get me started on the 2 small dents that seemingly appeared after inspection although the car is reported to have no ICBC accident claims. It seems okay to get a customer's money and finance a car and they will go to great lengths. But for making a customer happy, this dealership needs CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING, needs to RESPECT PEOPLE of all ages and backgrounds, and needs to LET GO OF THEIR EGOS & ATTITUDES & PERSONAL ATTACKS AND NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND DO WHAT THEIR SALES REPS PROMISED AND STOP DENYING THAT: FIX THE BACKUP CAMERA SO IT'S WORKING PROPERLY AS ADVERTISED, NOT LIKE A BROKEN CLOUDY CAMERA. FIX IT. PICTURES & PAPERWORK FORTHCOMING. James and Ricky could have gotten more stars but now deny they said anything about the backup camera...really...according to Kofi. Then why did I bring my car in for service to get the key locks and backup camera looked at, and as promised, since the purchase? Rosie gets one star or no stars for her attitude thinking it's okay to try to make a customer feel bad for not buying a warranty even though you offered and advertised the car with a backup camera (then make sure it works properly), Kofi would get more stars, unless you fix this issue but then you brought up something personal, that was totally inappropriate when we were talking about the backup camera. I just had an exceedingly pleasant experience with Ricky, a salesman at Southside, when I was in to buy a VW GTI. Even though the dealer doesn't regularly sell Volkswagens, Ricky was very knowledgeable and willing to help with information, and stayed 2.5 hours past the end of his shift to help the deal come together. I would happily recommend that anyone looking for a Nissan, or any pre-owned car that the dealer has on the lot, speak with Ricky and try to make it theirs. read more

Just called in to the service department about my 2017 Nissan Altima having issues. Nathan in service took my call and was very rude and no help at all. I am pretty sure he did not even listen to anything i was trying to explain after he would ask me a question and then just start talking over me, trying to tell me that the new CVT could not have any transmission issues and contradicting everything i am trying to explain. Not to mention he sounds like he is half asleep when talking. When i realized that this conversation was not going anywhere i asked to speak with his manager or supervisor to which he replied that he was the manager and there is nobody else i could speak with. I found this hard to believe so i asked again and he kept telling me there is nobody higher then him that works there and the reason he is answering phones is because they are short staffed. There is no way that this unprofessional person, who was completely useless to a paying customer, is the manager. Now i am stuck with a broken down car i just bought last year and the service department at Southside Nissan simply does not care. Not to mention that the vehicle is only 1 year old and i have to take it in to the dealership already. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP. THANK SALES MANAGER ROSSANA LEUNG. I wish I could give a less than one star rating for the absolute BS that I have just experienced with Southside Nissan and their so called sales manager Rossana Leung, but I'll have to settle for the lowest rating and the following explanation why. I went in on Saturday to test drive one of their used vehicles and fell in love with it. Absolutely loved it. I was dealing with James Ting, a great sales person who is persistent and thorough but not at all pushy or aggressive. The vehicle was perfect, the financing was acceptable, there was just one concern that I had mechanically and they assured me that they would send the vehicle in to its manufacturer mechanics (it was not a Nissan) to find out what the issue was before I bought it. No problem, I was approved for financing and put down a sizable deposit on the vehicle to ensure that it would be driven off the lot by ME, once the issue was resolved. I was told that the soonest they could get it into the shop of its original manufacturer would be Monday and I was fine with that. On Monday I got a call from James letting me know that he had heard back from the mechanics that the earliest they could take a look at the vehicle would be Friday - not a big deal. I had a deposit down, had signed the paperwork for financing, everything was fine. I can wait until Friday. Today, Wednesday, I receive a call from Rossana Leung, a sales manager at Southside Nissan. She is very apologetic but tells me that the Nissan mechanics cannot figure out what is wrong with the vehicle and they will not be able to retail the vehicle as it is mechanically unsound and unsafe. I asked her to clarify and she simply repeated the same thing over and over again. I told her that the vehicle was NOT to be inspected by Nissan mechanics as they do not have the experience with this vehicle type and that it was to be sent to the original manufacturer mechanics to have it inspected and find the issue. It wasn't a major issue, just something that should be corrected before this vehicle is registered to me. She again repeated her original sentence and told me that the manufacturer mechanics told that it was not possible to inspect the vehicle as there was nowhere that they could get the vehicle "up to speed" - 80 km/h - to diagnose the issue that I had concerns with. Knowing the location of the mechanic, the roads around the mechanic and the requirements to diagnose, I told her to hang up the phone, find someone within her company who could reach out to me with the real story have them call me. I could smell crap through her phone call from the moment I answered. Thirty-three minutes later, Rossana called me back to tell me the truth, that they had sold the vehicle to her client with no conditions because "they didn't think that I was serious about buying it". She lied. She flat out, blatantly, bold faced lied to me over the phone. Rossana had sold my vehicle, that I had a deposit on, had approved financing on and was planning to drive off their lot on Saturday, to one of her clients. How was I not serious? How was the deposit that I put down not serious? How was me signing the paperwork and agreeing to the financing and being approved NOT SERIOUS? I am so angry. Not only had I driven to South Vancouver from downtown on a Saturday morning, I had allowed this company to do a credit check for financing AND put down a sizable deposit on this vehicle because I was DEAD SERIOUS about buying it. I had actually planned my next month around buying this vehicle. Top that off with being lied to about the entire situation and having to sit and stew about the whole original phone call and wait for the general manager or someone from the Dilawri Group to call me and sort this out? The GM called and apologized. Hasn't helped. The poor sales guy James Ting has received the brunt of my anger, through text, that he has hopefully passed along to the general manager. This is an absolute crap situation that is unacceptable and I cannot believe that not only did Rossana Leung feel that it was her right to sell this vehicle out from under me when I had a deposit on it, she also felt it was appropriate and acceptable to lie to me about the situation in the original phone call when she had already sold the vehicle to one of her clients. Absolute crap. I just cannot believe that I would allow this company to affect my credit rating with a credit check for financing, take a sizable deposit off my credit card to hold the vehicle and then turn around and flat out LIE to me about why I could not buy this vehicle. What kind of service is that? How is that at all acceptable? How is it ok that I now, have NO VEHICLE and am left with having to continue searching, go through ANOTHER finance approval and I'm just supposed to be ok with it? If I could give them zero stars I would! My mirror was damaged by another driver so we took it to Southside Nissan to determine what he would need to pay as he didn't want to go through ICBC. When my husband brought in the car for them to look at he was told (in a rude and condescending manner) by the parts person that they didn't need to look at it as they already put in the order and knew what they needed. So, it was a waste of his time going down there. Weeks go past and finally the parts are in so he brings it in for repair and finds out that the motor in the mirror needs to be replaced as well - if they had bothered to look at it the first time they would have known this. Weeks more go by and now the motor is in so we bring it back for repair again and when we pick it up find out that they didn't order a colour matched replacement by mistake so we'll need to take it to a body shop to have it painted! The other driver has already paid what we were told was going to be the final amount originally and now we're stuck trying to recoup the additional $600 for the motor and paint job. When I spoke to the service manager he offered zero solutions and just blamed the parts dept like they were not part of the same company. Terrible service, disorganized and incompetent. Greasy tactics from management down. Been bringing my car for years here to service, not an issue. However after replacing a brand new battery, new brakes, new alternator, I'm looking to upgrade my 2005 sentra SER with something newer. I replace a new serpentine belt, new ignition coils, and 5 minutes after the service is done, the Sales manager offers me $1000 for the trade in. This is literally 5minutes after Ive just spent $1200 on the new ignition coils and serpentine belt. Already knowing from black book the dealership trade in value ranges from 3400-4200 given the mileage of 45k kms, the $1000 offer was a slap in the face. And to say that's a very fair value for trade in, and ask can we make the trade in/new sale happen today? That's just not the way to do business. Looked at a used car last week (2013 Fiat). Advertised as 'Recall-Free' and with A/C. Took the car for a test-drive. no A/C. OK. some sacrifice. Asked about the recall. Salesperson talked about airbag issue that was fixed. Made a deal and almost paid that day if not for the insurance people not available that day. Went home and checked VIN. There as an outstanding factory recall for a safety issue that could 'cause the car to crash'!! Also, parts to fix not available yet!!! Phone Fiat to verify. Southside was willing to sell me an unsafe car. I immediately canceled the deal. When another salesperson phoned they tried to downplay the issue. Sorry, but I am not gambling with my family's lives because you say it's not a big deal. To date, the car is advertised as recall-free. BEWARE. read more

I went to this Nissan dealership last month. I was looking for a 1 or 2 year used vehicle, possibly a new Nissan Pathfinder. When I went inside and asked for a salesman, a man who identified himself as Henry came over to me. I told him I wanted to buy a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, or possibly a 1 or 2 year old used one if they had any in stock. He told me "No! We don't have any!" I didn't quite understand, I thought he meant no used, so I asked if he could show me the new ones. He said "No, we don't have any....nothing for you." I looked to through the window where there were about a dozen sitting there and didn't quite understand. I was about to point out that there was a lot of inventory there when he said "There's the door, your not buying anything from us!" I told him I was in fact buying a new vehicle and I had a rental currently and wanted to purchase within the next two days. He said again there's the door, turn around and get out. I was quite shocked at this and glanced at the customer service woman who's face started turning red in shock. I started to walk out, decided to turn and ask her if I could speak to someone else, and Henry yelled out very loudly, "I told you where the door was, now turn back around and get out of my dealership!!" Shocked, I simply walked out and left. As I did, I heard the customer service woman say to Henry, "why the hell did you just do that!? What is your problem now?" As I was walking to my rental, I looked through the window to see him leaning on the customer service desk talking with her. I then left, and picked up my wife who was at a meeting about 2km away. She asked me if I found a new car, I told her what had just happened. We decided to call them, the customer service woman who I spoke to earlier answered. I asked her if I could speak to the sales manager. She asked who this was, I told her you might remember me, I was just there....to which she replied, oh yes...hold on. She put her hand over the phone and I could hear her say .....he wants to talk to the manager now....muffled..... She told me to hold on a moment and she will transfer. Guess who was on the other line....Henry!! He made a bad attempt at changing his voice which was so intentional and badly done. He told me that he will take care of what just happened, and if he could have my full name and address. I declined to give it to him and then he hung up. My wife and I drove across the bridge to Richmond, and a few hours later I was the proud new owner of a new 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I still don't know if I would have been happier in a 2015 Pathfinder, which is what I planned on buying that day, but I just couldn't bring myself to purchase a Nissan after that altercation. I don't know if that salesman is psychopathic or just a very angry hateful man who likes to do things like this to people. I read a couple other posts here, and several more on other review sites, ALL claiming a salesman by the name of "Henry" either threatened, lied to, or dismissively wasted many peoples time. It seems clear that this dealership knows about his behaviour, and is protected by his co-workers for whatever reason. I would recommend to anybody who is looking for a Nissan to stay away from this dealership. There are many others! I believe there are two more in Richmond, less than five minutes away. Other reviews speak to the horrible personnel at the parts dept as well. I don't know who the manager really is, but he/she obviously doesn't care about it's customers, employing someone like this in a customer service based industry. This dealership caters to scamming it's customers. If you feel as though you can spend extra money on up-charging when it comes time to pay, or you feel like being verbally abused, then this is the place for you!! If not, DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. If you do, after reading the reviews about this place then DON'T COMPLAIN later.
