Our belief is that whether you are…read morejust starting out w/ your new pet, or you've had her for a number of years, the training & mentoring available from Corrina is invaluable. We just recently got a new dog (Bean, a Tibetan Terrier Poodle), and we were a bit apprehensive. This is our family's first dog, and we wanted to "do it right." Having Corrina assist us w/ advice and training has created what we feel the "optimal situation" -- meaning a well-trained dog, and some (semi)-knowledgable owners! Specifically, the training regimen that Corrina uses is "positive reinforcement" and consistency. It works! Our 7 month old puppy is 100% house-broken, responds to commands, and has become an awesome member of our family. Corrina can also help w/ nutrition, medical referrals, daycare referrals, and will entertain requests for "sleep-over camp" -- or "board & train" as she calls them. The true test is that BEAN goes nuttty every time she sees Corrina. Highly recommend this pet trainer/mentor/jedi if you've got a 4-legged friend!

We cannot say enough about how happy we are with the results we have attained thus far while working with Cathy. We love Cathy's confident, passionate nature in which she approaches her work and we love that she always listens and responds to us quickly as her clients. She has been kind and considerate from the start when dealing with us and our doggies. She uses her Pawsitive Approach which has amazed us with how quickly our dogs have responded to her in the exact way she wants them to! She observed and accessed each of our dogs' individual personalities and traits early on and continues to work with each of them positively and with kindness yet with firmness. She truly treats our dogs as if they were her own. And they absolutely adore her and love the new work she is teaching them!! One of our dogs is a little social butterfly and our other dog is cautious with new experiences. Cathy proves each time we work with her that she can successfully work with each of them as individuals. We cannot believe how well our doggies have adapted to their new roles. Cathy has truly gone to great lengths to assist us through this entire process and with our health issues it is such a comfort to know we will be able to confidently have Medical Alert Service Dogs with us at home and in public just about everywhere we go. Thank you Cathy and A Pawsitive Approach Dog Training!

I recently began the training process for my two dogs, Marvel and Bilbo, with Transform My Dog. At…read morefirst, everything seemed great--they appeared to understand my situation with the two dogs not getting along and offered a plan to move forward. Unfortunately, things took a disappointing turn when it was time for their training and boarding. On January 16, 2025, I dropped Marvel off for his program. During the intake, I was informed that if he coughed more than once a day, he would need to be picked up. They also mentioned having a few "unconfirmed cold cases" with other dogs at their facility, which I appreciated knowing upfront. Despite the risk, I proceeded with the drop-off, as Marvel was perfectly healthy at the time. Two days later, on January 18th, I was notified that Marvel was coughing and needed to be picked up. Since I was unavailable, I sent my boyfriend. I immediately scheduled a vet appointment for Marvel the next morning. While my boyfriend picked him up, I stayed on the phone to ask questions, but the staff member on-site couldn't provide any answers and directed us to call the main number. This was frustrating, as I expected immediate answers, especially since I was being asked to pick him up for a potential illness. At the vet, Marvel showed no signs of serious concern. They couldn't trigger a cough during the exam but noted a slight respiratory issue. He was prescribed antibiotics and cough tablets. The vet didn't believe quarantine was necessary but advised keeping Marvel from nose-to-nose contact with other dogs. To be cautious, I sent Marvel to stay with my mom since Bilbo was scheduled to board at Transform My Dog starting January 22nd. Marvel and Bilbo never had any contact with each other. Bilbo was healthy during his January 16th vet checkup and showed no symptoms leading up to his boarding date. However, on January 23rd, I was notified that Bilbo was also coughing and needed to be picked up. This was incredibly frustrating--how could both of my dogs, who had no contact with each other, suddenly develop the same issue after staying at the facility? Since I was out of town, I asked my mom to pick Bilbo up. When she called to discuss her concerns, the staff member on the phone was rude and dismissive, insisting that Bilbo must have caught whatever Marvel had. This wasn't possible as the two dogs had been separated the entire time. When my mom asked to speak with the owner, the person falsely claimed to be the owner, only to later admit that she wasn't. My mom was finally told that the real owner, Jason, would call her--but this never happened. Jason was present when my mom arrived to pick up Bilbo. He refused to speak to her or even shake her hand, stating that he would only discuss the situation with me. However, despite repeated promises, Jason never called me. As of January 30th, I still haven't received a call. My frustration isn't just about the fact that both of my dogs were coughing--it's about the complete lack of communication and accountability. If someone had taken the time to genuinely discuss the situation with me, we might have resolved this. Instead, both my mom and I were treated with indifference and disrespect. They were quick to blame Marvel for Bilbo's illness without acknowledging that both dogs were healthy before entering their facility. If you're looking for a facility that values customer service and takes responsibility for the well-being of your pets, I cannot recommend Transform My Dog. Their poor handling of this situation and refusal to communicate left me extremely disappointed.

After several training inquiries with multiple companies, I immediately heard back from Karma, and a call with the owner was set up. He asked me all about Juice and explained the options he thought would be best. After deciding on "board and train" he said he thought he had the perfect person in mind and they would reach out soon. A couple days later I received correspondence from Sammye Darling, a trainer for Karma, who wanted to set up a call to talk about Juice. During our call she was very confident that she would be able to help with teaching him basic obedience and jumping. We settled on a 10 day timeframe with the expectation that it would be imperative to continue the training ourselves afterwards. (She would've preferred 14 days because that last few days is really when the training sinks in but I assured her we would stay on it) Scheduling was easy and convenient while we went out of town on vacation. Sammye was warm, gentle, and friendly upon dropping Juice off with her and I trusted her immediately. She stayed in constant communication with us, sending pictures, and updates on his progress. He took some time, he's stubborn, but eventually she saw the switch and said he was doing great! I missed him so much but knew he was in good hands with Sammye. Fast forward 10 days later and the day came to pick him up and I couldn't wait to see him. I'll spare you all the details of baby talk, kisses, hugs, etc. but it was a joyous reunion that had us in awe of the things he had learned. We spent about an hour there learning the commands, how to reward them, and practicing before heading home. She worked wonders and we were so excited to go home and continue the work. Before leaving we scheduled our follow up in person training session for a couple weeks out so Sammye could come see him in his own environment and see if we actually kept up with the training which we did! He is doing great! No, he's not perfect and we're still working on certain things but he's a different dog in many aspects. He has a "place" for when we're eating and now does it without asking and gets "off" the bed when it's time (he's too big to sleep with us) so he has his own. Those are two giant wins for us and we can't thank Sammye enough! He learned so much more and we continue to work with him everyday. Karma was professional and quick to respond which is always something I appreciate. Sammye, our trainer, was a delight who was professional, caring, thoughtful, hard-working, and made Juice feel right at home (in her own home) while teaching him some manners. I can't recommend her enough! Juice definitely missed her and was so excited to see her when she came over which further solidified how amazing she was. Call Karma and ask for Sammye as your trainer. You won't regret it!

This was becoming a huge challenge (and pain) in our daily walks. Getting his attention was a non starter, it was at that point I decided to seek out some individualized training (the thought of having him in a group class was laughable). I came across Karma Dog Training and put in my information for a consultation. Jeffrey got back to me later that day and we talked about my goals and expectations. Mainly, trying to establish control over this behemoth and finding games to keep his mind occupied while im out of the house. He said he would bring it up at the staff meeting the next morning to determine who would be the best fit. I got a callback from Pilla the next day. She specializes in behavior modification and is the proud owner of a great dane as well as a shelter dog. We started off slow, establishing that the overarching goal is being able to get his attention is where the training flows from. She then wanted to observe him in the house with my other dog as well as during feeding time. She made some observations (like my 1st dog guarding me like a resource against the newcomer) while at the same time making suggestions that would make my life with him easier. She then starting showing me easy to utilize signals to get his attention, we spent the day learning variations of this. After the end of the first lesson, I was able to get his attention on a daily basis. We have a lot of work to do still, but we made an impressive amount of progress, enough to get me to buy a 6 lesson pack. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus, the rest of our lessons had to be postponed after lesson 2. But Pilla has kept in contact with me over the weeks to make sure I'm repeating the fundamentals with my dog. Since the lessons build off of the success of the previous ones. Cant wait to see how my dog develops when the lessons resume!

He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.
