Southgate fries: drenched in a spicy garlic sauce, perfect crunch and so yummy!

I came in while it was a packed house (a company party), and sat at the bar. The staff were super friendly, I got a good suggestion for my food & beer pairing and had tasty fries. I'll definitely be back. What a cute place!

Southgate is that girl! It is always on point. The staff is amazing! The space is great. The food is beyond good! The way I always say "I need to eat here more," after my meal is some insight.

Loved the Noona cocktail! If my liver could handle 5 of them I would have ordered that many, it was SO good. Went on a Wednesday & the atmosphere was lively. I sat at the bar & enjoyed the food. The bartenders were great!

Service was super quick and the server was very friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. Plus he spilt the check between eight people. The ambience was great. I was part of large group and we were able to hear each other. And the food was good as well. Definitely will return!

Awesome spot for happy hour. The Kimchi Burger and Southgate fries were delightful. Server Patrick was super helpful and kind for a sweet happy hour. The mystery beer was so cool too!

Cool interior, very bustling, there was a wait so we ate at the bar. Bar tender was very kind Reason I'm giving 4 stars is cause the wait was forever and the Brussel sprouts were overcooked in our opinion, very very heavy charred flavor taking over. Image in there The bar was very good and the sausage was an experiment of mine. Not bad but I am biased against. The cabbage and beef was very good though, we enjoyed that experienced. And the fried wings were great ! I always have to try K fried wings

Cool spot. Food was delicious -- got the bossam and it was delightful. Service is decent, could be better honestly. Overall a good spot to try if you're in the area.

I went with a group for happy hour food and had a great time! The staff were really nice and patient, and they sat us in the large table in the back near the kitchen. I liked watching the chefs work through the window. We got southgate fries to share; they smelled SO GOOD, were super garlicky, and came were sriracha mayo! I also enjoyed the beef and pork bao buns. The food, the people, and the vibes of the restaurant were all great, and I'm excited to come back.

super delicious korean american food. great for happy hour, and it gets packed quickly - felt lucky to be there without a reservation. I showed up in the middle of happy hour and they luckily had a table open. I ordered the happy hour burger, fries, and bao buns; all were delicious but not something i necessarily dream about. the atmosphere seemed casual for the happy hour but i assume it gets more formal as people show up for date nights. You can order a larger plate of fries to share. there did not seem to be much parking, i walked there

The service was amazing. The waiter made a mistake and covered one of our entrees. Very intimate environment and you definitely need a reservation.

Everything was delicious! We sat outside and had terrific food and drinks and wonderful service. Bulgogi bao buns, wings, garlic gorchujang fries, and fried dumplings. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed everything about this place! The food was very very good and reasonably priced. The place was clean and the service was very attentive. Our waiter was great! I love the concept of mystery drinks, which they offer beer or seltzer. I highly recommend the bao buns. SouthGate even offers happy hour, so give that a try! Overall, I would highly recommend and I will be back soon!

    tofu bibimbap

Overall good vibe and service! The vegetarian bibimbap was not the best I've had before, and could have used some more flavor. The gochugang fries were a hit. Would recommend for some casual drinks and food on the side with friends. Drinks were made well and customized based on preferences.

My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich which was really good. The crust was crunchy and the chicken was tender and juicy. I had the porchetta sandwich which was recommended by our waiter and was SO DELICIOUS! It is a must! At first my wife was concerned about the limited menu. They may not have an extensive menu but what they do, they do right! Our waiter was really great and very welcoming, especially as we were from out of town. This fatty finished it before the beer came. Lots of beer choices. I took off a start be size they were under staffed. So we were just waiting around for the check and the waitress kept forgetting what we asked for. Honestly, not her fault. There were like ~100 people and only 3 employees that I saw. So no designated waiter for tables. These poor 3 employees were the bartenders and the table waiters.

A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.

On a whim, I called Butcher Bar and told them I know it's last minute on a Saturday night, but could they accommodate 9 people. They told me if we were there in 30 minutes they could make it work, so we rushed over. We sat at the bar for drinks as they cleaned up a table. They overheard us talking about how The Trough would be nice (feeds 8 for $300, but was more than enough for us 9), and said if we wanted that they could get it started as the table was prepared. We said yes, and were sat a few minutes later with drinks in hand. Jenna (Gema? She had grape earrings) was a fantastic server and just so kind and attentive. She kept the drinks flowing and The Trough arrived sooner than I expected and was everything I wanted for dinner and more. I can't thank Butcher Bar enough for saving the night for my 40th and just providing a fantastic experience. We'll be back, and we promise to give more notice next time! :)

The first thing I did was head straight for my favorite, Cantillon from Belgium. This visit, I tried their Kriek LG, a fruited lambic made by adding sour cherries to a two-year-old aged lambic. All I can say is... WOW! Tart, complex, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. If beer could win an Academy Award, this one would be giving an acceptance speech. Now, let's talk food. I ordered the Thai Curry Mussels, and they were absolutely outstanding. The broth was packed with flavor, and the mussels were cooked perfectly. They easily rank in the top five mussel dishes I've ever had, and I've done my research! Pro tip: Don't make the rookie mistake of eating all the bread first. Save some for the end so you can soak up every last drop of that incredible curry broth at the bottom of the bowl. Trust me, you'll thank me later. The service is always excellent. John usually takes care of us in the back, and he consistently makes the experience even better with great recommendations and friendly service. In side is cozy and friendly!
