We would give it a ZERO star if possible. We are in the market for a vehicle well within this price range. We arrived to the showroom (Typical family of 4) with not a single other person in the showroom. Nobody greeted us. We looked around at the vehicles and sat in 3 of them and were looking for more information. The receptionist acted as if we weren't there. Multiple sales people buzzed around in the background, upstairs and around the main floor area. Not a SINGLE person acknowledged us, asked if we needed assistance or anything at all. Racist? Maybe. Inter-racial couple with kids are apparently invisible to the staff here. Left a HORRIBLE taste in our mouths. Please do not support this judgemental behaviour and go elsewhere. read more

It was supposed to be done right as part of the deal at Southgate collision center, but they farmed it out to CarStars Just an update, Southgate Audi has seen my posts and at first reached out to settle. They said I had to remove my posts, I said they were the truth so they didn't have to be removed. They offered to settle, Oh my Godbut wanted me to remove my posts. I reluctantly agreed, but said I would do so only when satisfied with the repair. They withdrew the offer and won't repair. Meanwhile, they told Audi Canada they were resolving the matter with me as I complained to the parent company. Word to the wise to any one dealing with them: South Gate Audi collision is a first rate repair place. But be careful, as the dealership will tell you that's where they are sending the vehicle, and then send it to carstars or equivalent for a cheap "paint over." I made the mistake of not getting their offer of South Gate Audi collision in writing. Always get their "0ff contract" promises in writing as they will deny them later. Another happy customer. If there was an option to give more than 5 stars I would. Earlier in the week my wife and I were hunting for a used S4 -- we stopped in at Southgate to see what they had. Steven the Sales Manager helped get us quickly into a car to take for a spin. A couple days later I contacted the salesman that greeted us upon returning from the test drive, Josh Heary. Great member of their team -- polite, not pushy and knowledgeable. Over the course of 24 hours Josh and I worked out a deal on the S4 with a trade in of my wife's current car -- minimal haggling, fantastic trade in price and excellent overall service. Amazing deal on an extended warranty and brand new tires without requesting. Sharon in finance was also great to deal with -- fast, no nonsense. This morning I went to pick up the S4 -- complete the trade in, do the finance bits, etc -- they had me in and out of the building within 25 minutes. I have never bought a car - new or used and been out of the lot in less than 1.5-2 hours. Southgate seems to understand the last thing you want to be doing is waiting to get in your new car. You have a new loyal customer, I look forward to my next purchase with Southgate -- great work Josh and Sharon you both should be recognized as high value team members. read more

I recently had the unfortunate displeasure of purchasing a 2016 S5 from this dealership. I was expecting reliability and peace of mind by buying a low km (62k) Audi from an Audi dealership, after being assured that the recent maintenance had been done and the vehicle was in excellent working condition. What I received was a car with squealing brakes, constant MMI connection issues, dirty engine and cabin air filters, broken under panels missing screws held to the car with zip ties... and a coolant leak. I have my doubts that they even changed the oil. After informing my sales rep, Justin, of the issues with the car, I was transfered to one of the sales managers, Rob, who had the audacity to deflect accountability with statements like "anything can break at any time" and "screws can fall out as you drive" as if Audis are so poorly built that they can literally fall apart as you drive out of the dealership! I was told they would take care of the necessary repairs and provide a loaner vehicle for the time being, if I brought the car back to them. Upon arriving at the dealership, I find out that they had no intentions of doing the repairs free of charge, and that they weren't willing to offer a loaner vehicle. So now I'm stuck with a car needing thousands of dollars in repairs. I would advise anyone reading this review to be wary about buying from this dealership. Definitely ask to see inspection/service reports, look for leaks. I realize my expectations for Audi may have been set too high, but over all, this was an incredibly stressful buying experience with disappointingly poor representation of the Audi brand. read more

Years ago, I had an Audi R8. Unfortunately it ended up having some engine problems and had to be left at the dealership for almost a month. When I went to pick it up, there was a large scratch (about foot long) on the panel just behind the back engine cover, as well as a dent in the front hood. It was pretty obvious that someone had taken it for a careless joy ride. Rather than admitting this, they had one of their arrogant, rude sales guy deliver the vehicle to me. He forcibly tried to suggest it was my fault and that those damages were there prior. As a serious car enthusiast, obsessive compulsive surgeon and someone who had barely driven the car a couple thousand kms, anyone with common sense would know this claim was far fetch. I took meticulous care of the vehicle and it was perfect prior to this service. I believe in recent times, Southgate Audi has tried to turn their image around because of competition form the new Audi dealership (which is far friendlier and better all around). But for the longest time, under the thought that they were the only Audi dealership in town, their salespersons and service department staff were indifferent and arrogant. They felt they could treat their customers poorly and get away with it. The common theme expressed at least amongst the doctors and surgeons in Edmonton was how much we loved Audi cars but hated the dealership and the service. I'm sharing this review now, in hopes that they will change for the better and to heed warning to others. Do your research, and check out the north side dealership. read more

I like to take a look at the one star reviews before writing about my own experience. As I have stated before.....if you have signed up on Yelp just to make a complaint, and have no reviews, you're a entitled douche bag and your non review review speaks for who you are as person, not the dealership in this case. Every month there are thousands of people looking at my reviews and I only have just over a hundy. They are looked at because they are the real deal, don't be a Felica. Let's start off with the dealership itself, very clean, organized and the staff have been responsive every time I have come into the dealership. I have had conversations with everyone from the owner, manager, finance, parts, and my salesman Greg. (He's amazing btw) I have recently purchased a performance coupe from them, but that's besides the point. This review is about the employees. I was treated with respect, and they made me feel comfortable with what I was able to do for them as far as finance goes. I bought a couple packages, protection, maintenance and a winter tire package. Not only Greg and the manager helped me with everything, but because my boyfriend happened to know the owner a bit, well he knows the manager as well....the owner showed me and ordered a specialty set of rims Instead of the ones that were offered. -it was very nice, he didn't have to do that. My point is: I didn't expect anything special, but they did these things for me anyway- why? Because they are just those kind of people. Don't walk into a dealership being expectant of everything, yes stand up for yourself and have your information ready, that is your due diligence not the dealerships. Southgate VW was good to me and Southgate Audi thus far has been amazing. Side note: I have recently booked a service appointment, their reminder service is great and everything has gone very smooth. Terrible. Chatted with a salesman multiple times, over the space of a week, as I live 3 hours away arranged for a vehicle to be left out on the front of the lot so I could look at it after hours on my way past. Had a look around in the dark, thought it was ok. Arranged to come look at the vehicle during the daytime a day or two later. I arrived to find the salesman I was dealing with was on a day off, but hadn't bothered to tell me, or anyone there that I was coming. Oh well, not the end of the world. Went out to the vehicle to test drive it, and it hadn't even been cleaned up to show. Unfortunately the car wasn't what I wanted, so I asked about seeing one of the new vehicles. The salesman I had been unlucky enough to encounter, just wouldn't listen to me, he kept flapping his lips trying to sell me the filthy vehicle id gone there to look at originally. After multiple times back and forth to his manager, still not passing on the simple message, SHOW ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT, I gave up and returned to Calgary and bought a brand new A6 from a main dealer there. read more

I went there looking for a new car and after I test drove an A5, I decided that I might like an S5 better. So I wanted to test drive the S5, but they wouldn't let me. Something about the manager being concerned about the car getting damaged. So I asked, how do they expect to sell an $81,000+ car without letting people test drive it? Their reply was that people who want to buy an S5 would know they wanted to buy it. I was ready to custom order a better equipped one if I liked it. So I left disappointed. I couldn't possibly give less than 5 stars to Southgate Audi for my amazing, and recent experience. Hubs has been obsessing over an Audi S4 since we got together. A couple years ago, we went to Southgate Audi for a test drive, but we weren't in a position to buy just then. Wasn't our time. Just over a week ago, Hubs found the perfect Audi S4 online, and it was at the dealership. Off we went. We met Ahmed, one of the sales reps there. He knew exactly which car we were talking about and arranged for us to do a test drive. In the mean time, I also got my own vehicle appraised, just in case we wanted to do a transaction that day. I couldn't believe the numbers! I am so impressed with the work that Southgate Audi did for us to get us in the car of our dreams! Stacy and Tracy in Finance worked hard for us to make sure the financing was lined up, and I got to drive my car home 2 days later. We couldn't have possibly had a better experience at Southgate Audi. Ahmed, Stacy, Tracy, you guys all have made hubs and I over the moon happy, and so in love with our new vehicle. The customer service speaks volumes. With a high-end dealership selling high-end cars, you have a certain level of expectation. Our expectations were blown away. I was here on Monday April 18, 2016. I was with my mom, we walked around the parking lot looking at q3 and q5's. There were 2 "salesmen" outside, both of which ignored us nor offered any help. Figured they may be busy, so we went inside. All of the smug, stuck up staff continued to ignore us, which is odd because in order to make money as a salesman you need to make a sale? Ive never been treated like such trash before, to assume we have no money cause we are not wearing suits and sniffing our own farts is odd but thats ok, there is more than one Audi dealer in Edmonton, and a side note, feel free to clean the cars outside, not appealing when they're all dirty, but I guess thats how that location is run. read more

My husband and I just purchased our very first luxury vehicle from Southgate Audi. We are young and look it! We have gone into this dealership several times over the course of a year and a half - as well as the other luxury brand dealers (Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc.) Finally, we came to a point where we had no choice and needed to make a decision. We saw a Q5 online and went in to test drive it. We loved it, we loved our sales guy, Greg, and the sales manager (Danny, I believe). They did everything they could to make this deal work - and trust me, we were no walk in the park. Greg never made us feel differently from our obvious signs of inexperience and was completely professional but personable. Stacy and Tracy in finance were amazing. So friendly and energetic - even after visibly long days of talking to customer after customer. The wait times were a little extensive anytime we went in - from test driving to signing our documents. But it was worth it for the service we received. read more

Frankencars! They swamp in used parts in new vehicles If you are considering buying a new Audi from this dealership, I hope you read this review first. My goal is to save others from my nightmare with this dealership. I bought a 2016 Q3 from them in May of 2016. Within a month of purchase, I noticed a strange, intermittent clicking noise coming from the dash. Since that time, I have made several trips to the dealership: 1. First brought it in around June 2016. I was told that they could not hear the problem but I should just keep an eye on it. 2. I recorded the sound on my phone and brought back to the dealership a few weeks later. I played the recording to the Service Manager. I was then told they could hear the problem, but they didn't know what it was so they couldn't help me. However, I should still keep an eye on it. 3. I did some research on the internet and discovered that relay issues are common with Audis and Volkswagens. I brought this research back to the dealership. I was told that yes, they in fact do believe it is a relay issue, but they don't know which relay it is so they couldn't help me. However, I should still keep an eye on it. Frustrated, I contacted their Service Department Manager, Jamie, and explained the runaround I kept getting. He told me that they would replace all the relays in my car with the parts from a new car on their lot. I was a bit uncomfortable with this idea (my car is under warranty and it is my understanding that under warranty, the customer is entitled to new parts); however, since this was the only option presented to me, I agreed. When I picked up my car, I was advised that only the headlight switch was replaced. I explained that Jamie told me all the relays were to be replaced and was told by the Service Advisor, "No, no, no, we would never do that." Even thought it was clearly stated on the work order (which I have copies of). I was advised they took the headlight switch from a new Q3 and my old switch was placed in the new car. In addition to being concerned about my own car, I feel uncomfortable for the person who purchases that supposed new vehicle, which has been used as a donor for parts. They recently told me that they would finally proceed with replacing all the relays and modules in my car with parts from a car on their lot, and I declined. I currently have a claim opened with Audi Canada to address this electrical defect. So, long story short, if you buy a car from Southgate Audi, you might be getting something you think is brand new but has actually been cannibalized for parts. If you really want an Audi in Edmonton, go to Audi North. Lord knows I wish I had. read more

I had a terrible experience with this dealership and don't recommend anyone to buy from here. I was looking across Canada for a 2012/2013 Audi A6 s-line. I found one at South Gate Audi in Edmonton. I was going to responsible for shipping it to Ontario. I contacted the dealership and Alexander replied. We were corresponding through text message. The car was listed at 35,999 and had been sitting for over 6 months. I offered 31,300 thinking I would get a counter offer and the deal would close at around 33,000. However, Alexander came back with an absolute ridiculous number. He came back saying the car was over 41,000 plus taxes. The car had clear paint protection film on the bumper which they expected me to pay extra for. Furthermore the certified part on their ad was not included in the price and would cost an extra 3700. There were other items that they added also. I thought I was buying a used car and these guys expected me to pay for things already on the car. In my opinion these guys are cheats and anyone buying a car from them should be very careful or not buy anything from them. read more

I had a less-than-pleasant experience with multiple salesmen in this place while shopping for my new car. Nice enough guys, but absolutely not willing to budge an inch on the price. I walked out on both when their best prices couldn't even get down to the sticker price, even after it came to light that the kilometers on the car were 15k higher than we had initially though. That being said, I ended up dealing with Greg and it was night and day when compared to the first two. An all around pleasant experience, we reached a number that was perfectly reasonable and didn't have to jump through hoops to do it. I'd strongly recommend that anyone heading here make sure they talk to Greg first. Stacy and Tracy in the finance department were absolute champions as well, and were still more than polite even after fielding 200+ phone calls from me, per day. read more
